John Motta, MD is a vascular physician and surgeon, employed by the Boca Raton Regional Hospital. His practice partner is William Lee. For those interested in credentials, Motta is a graduate of University of South Florida Medical School, surgery residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta (top notch institution), and then completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. I was referred to this surgeon on an emergency basis in 2017, after having cardiac surgery which left me with a pseudo aneurysm. I was not a happy guy, to say the least, and had no choice but to proceed with surgery to address the aneurysm. Motta and his partner Lee are outstanding surgeons, and most interestingly, Motta has an incredible bedside manner, and a quirky and enchanting sense of humor (if he ever reads this review, he will likely laugh hysterically at how I described him!) After the surgery, he and his PA visited me daily in the hospital, for 6 days, and always listened to my concerns and anxieties, and trust me, I had a huge bag of them. Motta was direct and honest, as well as re-assuring, and during this recent follow-up, again due to my concerns about the nerve damage that occurred during the surgery, he put my mind at ease that it was as expected, and that over time, I would focus less and less on it. So for those of you who find yourself in need of a vascular surgeon, or have a parent or other relative who has a need, I recommend him without reservation, and think you'll find his demeanor comforting. His technical surgical skills, as far as my procedure went, were elegant. So, for those of you who didn't get past the initial few sentences, and for those who read all the way through, yeah, it may seem like an odd review to post, but hey, you never know when you or a loved one will be in need of a vascular specialist, and while the majority of people will rely on recommendations from their PCP, for those who like input from someone who had been under the knife, that's what you've got. As an aside, his office staff is efficient and pleasant, and it is not impossible to get an appointment. Lots of parking in their lot, and the affiliation and employment at BRRH makes your life easier. read more
