They drove us to the mall to have lunch and hang out until the car was ready,and drove us back. Tom explained everything he did and gave us great information about other work we might want to do on our 24 year old car. I recently had quite an adventure with my car. It all started when I got my oil changed and had a…read morestate inspection done in another state. I was driving from Pennsylvania to Virginia, on my way to Charlotte. I planned to stay overnight in a hotel in Virginia before continuing my journey. The place that did my oil change mentioned they couldn't reset the service reminder/error message on the screen. So, while I was driving to Virginia, my car kept flashing "Oil pressure low." It was 11 PM, and I had no idea where to stop. I assumed it was just the reminder not being reset, as the service provider had informed me. I made it to the hotel, but the next day, my car wouldn't start. It made loud knocking noises and had jumpy movements. I stopped and towed my car from Virginia to the BMW dealer in Charlotte. A couple of days later, the dealer called and informed me that the car didn't have enough engine oil--only one quart! They recommended replacing the entire engine and quoted a whopping $27,000 for a remanufactured engine. I was shocked! Even my 2016 car wouldn't resale for that price. Desperate for options, I called companies that buy cars with failed engines, and they quoted me $1,500. Then, THANK GOD, I called Euroenvy to check if they could replace the engine. They asked why I needed a new engine, and after explaining the issue, they quoted a price, and I approved the job. I then called BMW to release my car, and they offered to replace the engine for $19,000 with a used engine that had 79k miles. I declined and asked them to release the car. I towed the car to Euroenvy, thinking they were going to replace the engine. This is when the MIRACLE happened. Euroenvy called and said they weren't sure why I needed an engine replacement. They ran some diagnostics and asked me every single question about what had happened. After a thorough test run, they discovered that my engine didn't need replacement at all! The issue was a leaking oil drain plug, stripped by the first place that did the oil change. They fixed it, test-ran the car, checked for any leaks, and found none. They charged me $243 for the service, and my car has been running super fine ever since. In 2 weeks, the agony i went through is something cannot be explained (from $27000 to $19000 to $1500 to sell the car to now. This is not just about money. It is a combination of money + agony that we were going through the whole time. Euroenvy could have just replaced the engine as I already approved the job (BTW their engine replacement is way cheaper than the dealer) but they didn't do it. They did what was right and I just LOVE this place. Until I live in Charlotte, you will be my GO TO place for my car. In today's world, it's easy to find smart people, but honesty is a very rare quality. Euroenvy is a place that combines both smartness and honesty. Long story short(ish) - I sent my 1965 Impala to them in February of 2024 for a new trunk pan, and body work (filling two holes, one on each rear quarter panel above the exhaust) as well as a paint job. Not only did I have to beg and please for photos of the car while they had it in their possession, but it took them until November of 2025 to actually send me a picture of the car and guess what; NO WORK DONE TO IT AT ALL! To make matters even worse, I didn't end up getting my car back until February of 2026 - They held my car hostage for an entire 24 months. And to my dismay, you could argue that I got the car back worse than how I sent it to them. The paint was chipped around the door jam, it's littered with drips, scratches, bubbles, and pock marks. I live in NY, and I had a local body shop guy come to look at it to see if we could save the car, but it's worse than we could imagine. The paint is only half the problem - the actual body work they did underneath the paint is warped, and I'd need to basically undo everything they did and start from scratch if I want to save my car. $10,000 down the drain. And guess what, just as a last kick in the tail - The trunk pan wasn't even replaced. They just welded the holes and put sealant to make it look like they put an entirely new one in. I wish I could do more than just write this review that most people aren't going to see, but unfortunately this is the best option for me. NEVER CONSIDER THIS PLACE A FUNCTIONING BUSINESS. - Oh yeah and one last thing to note by the way - I sent the car down to them with a high quality seal skin car cover, and got the car back with an unopened cheap $50 off brand car cover from walmart

Honest Mechanic was my 2nd opinion, although I did not mention to them what the initial shop had recommended. Jeff was my primary contact and he listened intently to my description of the issue. After assessing the car he determined that it was the alternator (which was my initial guess) and he also recommended the serpentine belt be replaced. They ended up keeping the vehicle almost an entire week (due to various issues such as awaiting parts, exchanging defective refurbished parts, etc.). However, Jeff checked in with me everyday to keep me updated. Also, I had initially told him that time was not a major concern for me so this certainly not a complaint. It has been two weeks and my car, at 185k miles, is running well. I have not had any recurrence of the issues that I was initially having.
