You do have to down load a coupon but I'll attach it to my review so you can just show them and get the discounted rate! I called the facility around 4pm and asked if they could run a smog check on my Toyota Prius that day and they said yes! I arrive at around 4:40 and they saw me immediately with no wait. They ran a few tests which took about 15 mins. The total price was $40+$8 card fee so just under $50 which is a decent deal. I've been to other locations San Francisco as well and this is pretty much the lowest price you can find. The guy running the test was polite and efficient. He did make me wait out in the cold though when I could have just sat in my car and not affected his testing but whatever. Also didn't wear a mask the entire time which seems to be consistent with other people's reviews about not being "COVID safe." Overall, I had a pretty easy in and out experience which was reasonably priced.

No coupons for older cars because the tech gets a full work out smogging these older vehicles. The young man who did the work was honest, upfront and communicated everything going on and why. I will see you guys next year!! Thanks so much

It was refreshing just from coming from another place from a bad experience! Across from the jiffy lube! Me coming here was like a piece of heaven!N you look up in the in the top of the building and there's lights which really got my attention as soon as you walk in everybody is so well dressed you would not believe that it is a repair shop. The men here are very very gentleman and they offered to help right away without hesitation. I am coming from Fresno so coming out here in a different town was very hard for me to find help! I cannot express how grateful I am for him to fix my car and get it running for me. Arif the owner pleasantly surprised me on what a customer service looks like awesome

I did not expect to be writing a review of Palo Alto Auto Care, but here we are! After a drive down…read morefrom San Francisco I simply made a stop at an ARCO gas station in Palo Alto. Underneath my car was a puddle, and I saw fluid some dripping from my car itself. I wasn't sure if the dripping was from a splash of driving through the puddle, but it persisted. Luckily at about the same time one of the guys from Palo Alto Auto Care walked by and told me my car was leaking coolant, and it would not be safe to drive. The dripping did not stop - it was definitely my car... yikes! Since his shop was behind the gas station, he offered to take a look to see the source of the leak. No conditions, it was more of a friendly offer. They couldn't view the problem by opening the hood, so they spent more time to raise up the car to better examine it. The reservoir had a crack, but he suspected the root cause was 90% likely from another part. Luckily both could be ordered and worked on that day. A few hours later my car was back in working order. While my wallet was lighter (and I didn't really have an opportunity to shop around), the price for parts/labor seemed reasonable at least compared to what I know I would have been charged from a dealer shop. I walked out more feeling "lucky in being unlucky." The guys there really saved my bacon - had I drove off disaster could have ensued, or at least paying for an expensive towing and worse repair from damage. Even though car repair is their business and it makes sense they would notice problems, I feel more like they were good Samaritans. (quite professional good samaritans no less!)

There were several items needing immediate attention following my initial input and their thorough diagnostic process. DNA's Customer Service team member, Miquel Mendoza, walked me through findings and provided detailed info to all my questions prior to my OK'ing the work. I knew, due to previous repairs at DNA that their Technicians, Antonio Molina & Victor Ferreira would ensure that the repair work would be guaranteed and done in a timely manner. To the entire team, some of whom I have previously known, and those folks behind the scenes, that help take a local business to the next level - I am grateful! Rachel

I brought my car in for repair work after an accident, and while that portion was completed, the…read moreoverall experience was frustrating and poorly managed. Once my car was transferred to the auto body shop, it became a completely separate system, team, and process--and the two sides clearly do not communicate. This disconnect caused confusion around payments, delays, and unnecessary out-of-pocket costs on my end, including having to pay $700 for a rental car that I originally was told I wouldn't need for that long. I was told my car would be dropped off in Novato once I made a payment. I paid the auto body shop, but the repair shop had a separate payment link that I couldn't access from my phone. I showed them the issue in real time, but instead of helping or offering another way to pay, they dismissed it and said it "worked fine" for them. Because of miscommunication between their teams, my car was not actually in Novato as promised, and I had to wait around for them to figure it out, which caused even more delays and inconvenience. On top of that, the person I was dealing with refused to call and help coordinate getting my car released or delivered until I paid through their system, even though their payment link was not working properly for me, which delayed me further and resulted in additional out-of-pocket costs due to their poor communication. No one took ownership of the situation, and the staff was rude and dismissive throughout the process. While the repair work itself may have been completed, the experience across both businesses was disorganized, unprofessional, and lacked basic customer service. I would not recommend.
