Made a reservation a few days ahead of time, but there wasn't really a need to as there were seats available as we went in on a Thursday night. Ordered three pizzas to be shared among five people, and it was more than enough. Crust was soggy. It couldn't hold up the cheese and sauce. It was a little gummy due to all the moisture. The end of the crust were okay because it wasn't soaked. Margherita was good, a classic. Soppressata picante wasn't really spicy at all. I liked the cremini mushroom. It was a white pie. I liked that there was saltiness from the olives. The mozzarella had a lot of moisture because the crust was also soggy. It's decently priced as it was less than $20 per person after tax and tip. It was very filling as well just wasn't the best slice I've had in NYC.

Such a cute little pizza place. We went early on a Friday and was able to get a table. We tried 3 pizzas and their meatball appetizer. Definitely would recommend pizza.

You know the pizzas are legit when you can see the domed pizza oven through the window. Motorino is a small restaurant but it has a very inviting warmth to it. It feels like a very familiar setting although I've never set foot in the place. I was able to place my takeaway order in person and leave within minutes. The cremini mushroom pie is packed with flavor. Where to begin? They are generous with the mushrooms as I was using every ounce of my dexterity to prevent the mushrooms from falling off the slice. It had perfect amount of salinity and sausages and the olives were not overwhelming. This is definitely one of my favorite mushroom pizzas in New York. It is definitely pricier than the other mushroom pizzas in the vicinity but you get what you pay for here.

It's been years since I went to the original Motorino in Brooklyn and today we were near the East Village one and decided to go in and have their lunch special. It was very quiet (it's right before Christmas) but we didn't feel uncomfortable in an almost empty restaurant. The room is very nicely done, it's very 'East Village', long and narrow, clean and bright with the pizza oven at the back. Service was excellent, staff were very accommodating and friendly. The lunch deal is a green salad with any pizza for $17. It's a very good deal. The green salad was a good one, a variety of fresh leaves, nicely dressed and a generously sized portion. The pizzas are excellent. The dough is light and soft, the ingredients are high quality, with very good mozzarella, meats, fresh herbs etc. They taste like pizza I have had in Italy. Motorino is my new favorite pizza spot. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and they have deals not only on lunch but on takeout (currently 'buy two, get three'). Highly recommend for the food and it's a cute spot for a date night too!

I've been craving pizza this week and instead of ordering in, I wanted it fresh out of the oven, so I stopped by Motorino's in person end of day. I ordered roasted artichoke to start and a cherrystone clam pizza. The artichoke was delicious. The capers and lemon vinaigrette paired perfectly. It was pretty meaty. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. The clam pizza however was a bust. It was swimming in juice and was very soggy. They offered to remake it but I was already done with a slice and getting full. I thought when I bring it home, pop it in the oven and crisp it up, it'll be better. On the walk home I started feeling nauseous and my stomach was uneasy. I don't think I'll eat the leftover pizza..I'm afraid that was the culprit. I was feeling really good until then and wanted to come back to try more but not sure anymore. Bummed about this experience.

1/1 Ambience; 1/2 Food; 1/1 Service; 1/1 Value Motorino is a really charming and welcoming Italian restaurant that is great for casual dates or a nice get together with friends or family. This is brick oven pizza, and the kitchen is open so you can see your pizza being prepared and fired. The restaurant is maintained nicely, and the staff is warm, friendly, and quick. We went for a weekend lunch and we were seated quickly despite it being somewhat busy. My friend and I both got the margherita ($20). The crust and undercarriage were light and blistery the way I prefer it, but the flavors fell short being rather bland. The pizza, however, tasted fresh in terms of ingredients and served hot from the oven. Overall, it was a nice experience in a cute restaurant with friendly staff serving up pizza at a good value taking their large portion sizes into account.

Food: one of my favorite pizza places in the city. Get their margarita and skip the pugliese. The meatballs also should not be missed. Service: good service, with nice, quick, and friendly servers. Ambiance: simple restaurant with a good number of tables and typically room for walk ins without waiting. This is a bit more upscale than some pizza places. Good place to come to sit and eat a good quality pizza.

Arguably the next pizza in the neighborhood, the margarita is my personal favorite, literally only minutes to come out piping hot out of their fabulous oven!

Really great spot in EV for a delicious Neapolitan style pizza. It's small inside but very cozy and their staff are always very friendly. Don't overthink it too much, pizza is the way to go here. I'd say if you're hungry you can take down one of the pies yourself. Love the meatball and amatriciana pizzas. The dough is perfect for a Neapolitan pizza, has a good chew, a little crisp, and is thin without being too floppy.

Pretty good brick oven pizza! Not the most amazing pizza I've ever had, but it hit the spot. I ordered the Meatball pizza. The pizzas are big, so you could probably split one with someone if you aren't starving. This place is in a nice area.

The best place for a clam pizza. Their crust is super fluffy and been coming here for years- and service is always friendly and just the best damn good cherry stone clam pizza. I'm so glad they returned with this pizza as they discontinued it a couple months ago. I'm also a big fan of their Margherita pizza.

The Don Dom pizza , they made it heart shaped and wrote sweat nothing's :)

I also wouldn't have sipped on my tall boy a few blocks away instead of standing in line if I knew the situation. All that being said, the line moved. There were passed picture menus in line that helped move the ordering process along. I knew exactly what to order when it was time to order. The service was friendly. The wait after ordering was not too long. Getting a place to eat was a little tough and some of the people saving space while waiting were a little annoying, but it is what it is. The pizza was amazing and I would go back any time. Prices seemed reasonable and the quality of everything was super satisfying. There is also a bathroom and that is always handy when roaming about the street and popping in for a slice after killing a beer. Definitely make this or one of their other locations a destination. May I preface with the fact that I am a pizza lover and have eaten tons of pizza all over the place like it's one of the basic food groups-- even mediocre pizza is good to eat, but I'm really sorry to say that this pizza is the worst pizza I've had in my entire life! For the first time I couldn't even finish the outer crust or cornichione--it had barely a rim no puffiness not risen--was Right out of the oven. It was tough and dry and flavorless. I got a margarita slice and a burrata slice. The bottom of the burrata crust was completely black. I'm not exaggerating. I wish I would've taken a photo, but the place was so crowded, I couldn't manage it holding everything while standing. The pizza was totally desiccated and dried up. The burrata did not save it and I could not even enjoy it because it was like having this cloud of delicious creaminess on top of dead dried up thin sponge with the cheese only being detectable by forming a faint oily crisp on the surface of the dried out sparse red sauce. I was so hungry and tired--I should've just thrown it away, but I thought this is supposed to be like the best pizza and I waited 40 minutes so I forced myself to eat it and regretted it later. I ate the plain margarita slice at my hotel 20 minutes later and the bottom crust was charred properly--not entirely black like the first one and there was a slightly larger cornicione but not like the puffy slices I saw other people eating that had meat on them. Even though it was only 20 minutes later, and this slice was not burnt, It was still totally dried out and I could barely finish the slice --I skipped the cornicione for the first time as it was very tough and dry and flavorless. While I've had some super excellent pizza before (spare you the details)--I'm not a snob and will eat mostly anything and have been known to eat 3/4 of a extra large margarita by myself, and I always eat everything. I don't like writing bad reviews, but this was so shockingly bad in comparison to the hype. Even if it was just mediocre, it would be like OK at least it's edible but this totally sucks and margarita is like the foundation pizza. Just sad and disappointed because I blew my NYC pizza night on this. You would think such a busy place would have fresh pizza, but it seems like maybe because they are so busy they cook these in waaay in advance and then reheat them in such a way so that you end up with a piece of crap-- if this had a thicker crust, it could tolerate the abuse, but when this crust is so thin it's a no go. I've never had pizza like this before in NYC, CA, or Italy--must be a new thing that people other than me adore.

More often than not, those places never live up to the hype and the food can even be straight up trash. However, Prince Street Pizza is not that. In fact, it's a wonder their line wasn't longer. A friend wanted to try it, so I reluctantly agreed to wait with them, pressing on despite a bit of rain. The joint is tiny but has that authentic, old-school NYC pizza parlor feel, with all the accoutrements (like the owner posing with celebrities and posting them along the wall in cheap, flimsy frames). It took about 25 minutes to get to the front, but it was well worth the wait. I tried the Spicy Spring (their take on the pepperoni slice) and the four-cheese slice. Both were presented as a hearty slice and both tasted fantastic. Once I muster up enough patience to brave the line again, I'll definitely be back to try a few other slices.

You can taste the aged cheese, the complexity of the dough, the premium ingredients. And normally that would be amazing...but it is less than optimal on the 90-degree day that I showed up.
