We came here after a late night of being out they had some amazing options considering the time of the night! Loved their falafel wrap, and also tried their cauliflower wings and a quesadilla the food was very good! There were plenty of places to sit inside and out and they also had a full bar as well the place is open until 2 AM on weekends. The service was quick and they were well staffed as well. Will definitely be back!

We went to an event here last night and it was such a wonderful experience! My husband and I both have disabilities, and it can be difficult to find venues that provide us with a truly inclusive experience. The staff at Motorco was so kind and accommodating! The space is open and has lots of SEATING, which is a huge plus, AND there is a ramp to the stage. They have water readily available, and the bartenders were super skilled, efficient, and willing to make mocktails that weren't listed on the menu. We didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant, but we definitely plan to come back to more events here!

Love this venue! I've only been to a handful of shows at Motorco but it's a great space, small quaint to see small bands, or if you're lucky, your favorite band. The music venue is small, but has great acoustics. There is a small section of station seating to the left of the stage. I'm not certain, but I think for some shows the seating is first come first serve, for other concerts I think you have to buy a special ticket to use the seating. They have a full bar. There is also a restaurant attached, but I'm not sure you can get food in the music venue. The neighborhood is ever developing, in the last year and a half since I lost went there are so many new construction sites all around. Even the old parking lot next to/behind Motorco is now a massive apartment building. I hope all the development does come at the cost of venues like this disappearing

(This is in October 2024) I ordered concert tickets with the wrong email address(one that didn't exist) and had A LOT of trouble with a representative that worked there. I had 100% proof that I bought it and they refused to simply send it to my actual email. It was seriously over-complicated. Luckily, I was able to reach out to members of the band and they emailed the company and shortly after I was given my tickets...... In other news, when we got there it was very nice and spacious. There were places to sit and a bar. I didn't get drinks or food so idk how that is.

Went here for a concert tonight ordered Diet Coke and lamb Souvlaki it had terrible seasoning and next to no meat on it. The Diet Coke was flat. The atmosphere was awful to say the least. There was a long line to order they gave you a number to take to your table. We waited about 10 minutes to be served. My wife ordered the boudin the cheese was over seasoned you couldn't taste it the cheese! All in all an awful meal. Chances of going back her are real slim!!

Food is nice, nothing fancy, we saw a really great singer there and it was really fun! Service is not that great. The place is really cool though!

First time here and I'd definitely come back. They had a nice selection of cocktails and tons of beer options. Bartenders were polite. Loved the vibe outside.

I cannot thank motorco enough for starting outdoor, COVID-safe pad concerts i the adjacent parking lot. Each pad is designated with tape and has an AstroTurf down. We took camping chairs and set up. They are requiring a health screening, checking temperatures, and give you a hand sanitizer. You order online and enter your pad number and both food and beverages are delivered to your seat. They also require masks be worn at all times except when eating or drinking and *most* of the patrons followed this rule. Thanks to these measures we felt very safe and got to see our 1st live concert since February.

Live screening of "Princess Bride!" Outside, in pods, socially distanced.

This former automotive showroom is one of our favorite venues for music, community talks, and lectures. Great food (not your typical bar fare!), and good drinks. Outside, there's a buzzing patio when the weather allows, and the former garage is the "Parts & Labor" restaurant. Keep doing your own thing, Motorco! We love you!

They will turn their noses up at you for asking simple questions like when their upstairs bar is supposed to open. And that's if you can get their attention. (they're not really a busy bar.) they are ignoring you. And they say they are a "restaurant" but the food is inconsistent. You never know what they have, if they have anything at all. Really a place for people who like to do nose powder *sniff*. Used to be a safe place for LGBTQ. It seems like they only open the kitchen for certain people. But show up when you search up food downtown... They keep it dark I guess to help hide with the sexual harassment happening on the dance floor. I watched their own karaoke host to be groped. And nobody did anything. Also had a friend drugged without consent here... Not only that sometimes they charge you after you leave make sure to take a picture of the receipt after you close your tab! They like to make random charges like Apple I've sent other friends there to try and have a good time and they have all told me that they're never going back to Durham after going there... Durham has good spots. This is just isn't one.

We were welcomed as we entered and shown to a small table in the main seating area. Fairly large place with a large bar and a stage for all the live music they have. At this time we were the only customers. Our server brought us the menus and glasses of water. After a little extra time, son needed extra time. We ordered the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs with coleslaw and Mac-n-cheese. I ordered the brisket bowl. We had a short wait before everything came out. Everything looked great. The meat literally slid off the bones and the ribs were very tasty. I sampled everything. The slaw was good and even the Mac-n-cheese was good. My brisket bowl was delicious. Brisket over a bed of rice, black beans, blue cheese crumbles, tortilla chips, and a sauce. All the flavors played well together and satisfied my taste buds. It was just enough food. We went to see one of our favorite house DJs- Cassian. Extremely underwhelming to say the very least. I genuinely feel embarrassed for him and his team that they had to play a set in front of a half filled warehouse with absolutely ZERO EDM culture- literally sad. Especially bc Cassian typically plays in front of packed crowds all over the world. Durham did not show up for him. Visuals: The light production in this venue was less than mid, literally just one black light on the ceiling, which is super embarrassing for an EDM event. My college fraternity could pull it off better and we were some 18-21 year olds. There was one girl spinning her LED hoop which seriously made my night, I was dancing with her the whole time in the back bc those were the only flashing lights in the damn place. Idk if I had the wrong expectations but that should be a given for an EDM artists. Alchemy in Raleigh gets it. Safety: No metal detector when walking in either- which i was on edge about the entire night (not saying the crowd made me nervous or anything, but that's a huge safety concern). Drinks: Bartender ran out of crown apple when making my drink so she said "wait over here" (to the side) and started making someone else's drink who was in line after me- ok what the actual ****. Never in my life has a bartender stopped mid drink and moved to the next person in line. even worse, she pulled out the crown peach after and finished making my drink with that, and tired to pull it off hoping we wouldn't notice. that's one of the corniest things i've ever seen a bartender do lol.

And, it truly lived up to the hype. One of the best we've ever had! I also tried two other cocktails made with their house-distilled rum and gin, and both were delicious and perfectly balanced. The seasonal menu is creative and reasonably priced, we were genuinely impressed. The ambiance is charming and cozy despite a bit warm inside (the AC was pretty weak), but quiet and tastefully decorated with velvet couches, exposed walls, vintage touches, and fresh flowers on each table. We had fun flipping through their amazing cocktail book collection on the shelf too. The bartenders were very friendly and offered us focaccia from Ninth Street Bakery to pair with our drinks for free, which was such a thoughtful and tasty addition. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and are so happy to see a micro-distillery thriving in the heart of Durham. Can't wait to return for an official tour and to sample more of their spirits!

We've been a few times now, and the service is super friendly and helpful, every time. It's small and intimate inside, but we never have a problem finding a seat! I love that they have snacks you can help yourself to, in airtight jars at the bar (peanut butter filled pretzels, sour worms, etc). Also important to note- the inside is NOT air conditioned. We stopped in on a HOT day, and it's brutal inside, with cloth couches and just one small fan. Love this bar, all of their cocktails (wine available too), and all of the staff!
