Im on my fourth time taking the drivers test and i strongly disagree with what there giving me marks for. I said something about discrimination and was immediately told if I did that I could have my license suspended for a year. On my 2nd try before we started I asked the instructor if he could see my speedometer and he said yes its digital when indeed its not. this test was taken in a 2015 GMC Sierra 4x4 where the speedometer is on the right side on the dash board making it difficult to see from the passenger seat. Reason for bringing that up is they were marking me too fast or too slow. Among other things as well. And nothing I can do about it without recourse. read more

I came on the last day of the month before my vehicle registration expired (I know, my fault) and, observing the line outside I thought I'd be in this hot sun forever... ...however, it wasn't the case! The line moved at a steady pace as the staff separated those with appointments and those who didn't (that was me). I waited like 15 minutes before I was let inside to pay the renewal fee. And that took all of 10 minutes! They also had a kiosk of sorts outside the exit signing people up to register to vote...I did that too. Two for the price of one! Consider taking care of business online, if waiting in line is not your thing. If it is your thing, going online and making an appointment before you arrive might be the best bet. read more

This use to be so well managed and all about customer service! Now everything is by appointment! We have sat on the phone literally for 2 hours and not gotten through. Drove down to the dmv and they have 2-3 workers where they use to be fully staffed. Appointments are 3 weeks out! Then we went to their new system online and we are owed a $250 dollar refund and you have to take a photo of yourself so it matches your drivers license. No recognition! Look exactly the same! No one to call, no help! Beyond frustrating! If Arizona is open then open up the government services! We only want to pay you money!!! Very contradictory to have McDonald's open but not the tax payers DMV! read more

Our Motor Vehicle Department has the worst customer service Was on hold for over an hour to get both this 8:36 appointment and the 10:12 appointment. We can can only take care of 2 issues per appointment ‍ (Why were we even give 2 appointments so far apart??) Agent on phone knew what we needed to get done..put 2 titles in both our names, missing titles and handicap plate. We get to the appointment and I have to wait outside... ridiculous! Then my husband comes out few minutes later with 2 forms that have to be filled out and notarized!! I made app at least a month ago.. if we knew about these forms we could have taken care of this before today. He couldn't take care of the other issues for 10:12 appointment because when we checked in at 8:36 we said we would work on the name changes on the 2 titles.. I moved to Arizona today. I had to get some things taken care of at the DMV. I decided to hit up this one in Yuma because I didn't think I would have enough time to make it to one in Phoenix. It worked out pretty well! I walked in and took a number. Immediately, I got called over to get my picture taken for my new DL. I was then told to have a seat and that I would be called shortly. No joke, about 5 minutes later, I was at a desk getting my new drivers license, my car registered, custom plates (they are coming in 3-5 weeks), voter registration updated etc. The whole process took about 30 minutes. It was $117.00 for all of that stuff. Not bad...not bad at all. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars are the employees. They were all efficient and did their job really well. Would it hurt to crack a smile though? It was like talking to an emotionless brick wall. They got me hooked up and I appreciate the quick service. No personality from any of the 3/4 people I encountered though. All businesslike! I would definitely recommend coming here though. Its no nonsense and they DO get you taken care of very fast! A trip like this without an appointment in CA would have taken hours. AZ got it done in the length of a sitcom. Bravo AZ, bravo! read more

Pre-COVID, I showed up last minute for a registration renewal and they took care of me right away. During COVID, I made an appointment online, paid for my service online, and completed the request for a new travel ID in person in less than 10 minutes. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Theresa M was the most unprofessional and rude individual I have ever been in contact with, and she was extremely disrespectful towards my mother. She had two supervisors come out and it seemed like neither had any customer service experience. Then one of the supervisors gave us false information on a different location where they said they would be open, but falsely wasn't. And we had called previously asking about New Years eve being open, and when we got there the day before they said they would not be open that day. Please inform your employees of all correct times of business and maybe a refresher course on customer service because it seems like your employees have different information, and the customer service was horrendous. Or at least post your correct business times online, what year are we in that you don't update your online hours? Completely unprofessional. I have no personal problems with anyone, this place of business is just unprofessional, but what else can you expect from a small town DMV. Don't come unless you're 3 hours early, but definitely come if you want to be talked down to by the DMV representatives read more

I just moved to Yuma and I had to get a new DL, register 2 cars and get 3 new titles. Jackie spent about 45 mins with me and she was extremely patient and helpful. She was a doll. My DMV experience here was 1,000x better than in CA. read more

I've lived in different cities, and needless to say that MVD (DMV) in Yuma is the fastest and their customer service is great as well. Everyone that has helped me is very helpful, have a smile on their face and help me in a timely matter. MVD's in California and Phoenix area can definitely learn from MVD in Yuma. read more

I have lived in many cities in AZ and, over 5 decades, have used the DMV (MVD) facilities in all of them. The small town facilities almost always provide more pleasant experiences, but Yuma was especially friendly, well-organized (for DL renewals,) quick, and efficient. In and out in 20 minutes at noontime. Kudos to management and staff of that facility. read more

I would give the entire department zero stars if I could. I lease my car and moved here from another state. It pretty much requires an act of an unknown God to register a car. First they told me I had to get a release from the lessor. Gave me the form which they told me the lessor knew to send directly to the dmv. But of course they can't contact me when they receive it. Okay so the leasing company faxed the form back to me. Took it to the dmv. They refused it because it's not an original document. What difference does that make since they would be willing to accept a fax from my lessor. Got the fax number for the dmv. Now I have to contact the leasing company again to send this stupid form again. read more

This is the worst MVD or DMV I have ever been to. The whole place is dirty and disgusting. Dust everywhere and judging by the employee's attitude- they are overworked and probably underpaid. If you don't like people get another job. They need a new cleaning service. read more
