Tim the local representative needs to be retrained and requires a professional attitude when dealing with customer problems. In addition to the truck not having an operational liftgate, which was not inspected and repaired prior to rental, there was a loss of income and an exorbitant amount of wasted time. The manager (John) was confrontational at the end in an effort to try not to resolve the losses associated with the defective equipment (had to bring it all way back to the office for repair, my paid roadside service was useless/only basic repairs. A mobile mechanic at the office?)! John the manager had me waiting 2+ hours for a repair due to a lack of communication/ coordination between himself and the mobile mechanic. Not only was I not given an estimated invoice prior to renting the truck, upon arrival Tim tried to change the agreement and increase the cost! It was just a horrible business experience from start to finish.

Called their corporate they said $5.99 for roadside a day plus collision which was $31.xx a day. I wanted the van for 2 weeks, You do the math.. At that price they're looking for you on one trip to buy them a new truck to go on their rental lot. LOL. I'd rent some horses and hook them to a wagon before I rented anything from budget or ANY of these rental places (which I shopped around) Over $3,500 to rent a van for just a drive around the country. But when you try to get that $20, they then change the terms and say they have to be the exact same dimensions and you also have to go purchase the other boxes and bring the boxes and receipt to them. They will do anything to NOT HONOR their guarantee! over $20 worth of boxes. If this is how the move is starting with U-Haul, not sure if I want to get the rest of our boxes & truck from them. The employees in the store did not even know the guarantee was written on the box when they have 1000 boxes in the store.

I had to drive much slower then I should have due to the shaking and uncontrollable pulling to the side. There were ants all over inside the driving area they were crawling all over the cup compartment and dashboard. Now there is a charge on the credit card used to rent it with no email explaining any of it. I expected much more from a company I thought was reliable and I could trust.

After hearing about my situation, she offered to close her location to drive the hour to the facility I was at and get me signed in so that I wouldn't have to stress about finding a new storage facility at the last minute! I'm so glad I waited!! Sally went above and beyond. She took the time to not only get me set up quickly and efficiently but also brought us extra water bottles to make sure we stayed cool and hydrated in the midday Florida heat. The car was in my garage at home. Allstate gave me a window for the service and the name of this vendor. About 25 minutes BEFORE the specified time Allstate gave me I got a call from the driver of this tow truck, telling me he has been sitting outside my house for 15 minutes! I mentioned the window Allstate had given me, and said I would arrive at my home in 3 minutes, requesting him to wait for me. I had gone to put air in my spare tire. The driver was VERY rude and cut me off on each sentence I spoke on the phone. He told me I should provide him with the jack and other tools, since he didn't have these on his truck! I told him now I was only 2 minutes away, and he said he was going to wait. As I pulled into my driveway in less than 2 minutes, I saw him drive off around the corner, and he left. Tried calling him back on the phone. I got no answer. I spoke to a man at the company office, and he was also very rude and obnoxious, telling me how the driver waited for me for a long time. Again, the window that Allstate gave me was of no interest or importance to this man. I will never recommend this company to anyone.
