I am disappointed with how Gulf Coast Golf Carts handled a recent matter involving J&J Affordable…read moreTowing LLC. J&J was hired to transport a golf cart and was prepared to complete the assignment. When we learned that the transaction may have involved fraud, we acted responsibly, stopped the delivery, and turned around. That decision helped protect the property and prevented a potentially greater financial loss. J&J also suffered a loss through fuel, mileage, labor, and time spent responding to the service call. Despite our cooperation and the role we played in protecting the golf cart, we received no acknowledgment or appreciation from Gulf Coast Golf Carts. Instead, our interactions left us feeling that our efforts and losses did not matter. As the owner of a Black-owned business, the treatment we received also caused me to question whether J&J was being treated fairly and with the same professional respect that would be extended to another company. I do not raise that concern lightly. J&J did not create this situation. Once we became aware of the problem, we acted honestly and responsibly. At a minimum, we expected professional communication, acknowledgment, and respect for the role our company played in preventing further loss.

Very bad experience. Did not fully, properly or competently repair an initial problem which caused…read morea failure of the "repair" 3 months later. Returned to have the issue re-addressed; he ignored the major symptom (actual noise coming from the actual part) that we pointed out during discussion which was the same part as initial problem). He instead quoted thousands to replace items (that careful investigation would have shown) had nothing to do with the issue. To make matters worse, the quote had the potential to double, and it would have, because the things he proposed to replace were 100% not the issue. His incompetency would have cost upwards of 8K in the long run bc the repair plan was absolutely WRONG. We went elsewhere for the repair. When we returned to his shop to discuss the failure and findings from CORRECT repair; he was very unprofessional before conversation even started. He walked up saying he was "...already in a bad mood..." before conversation even began. Ultimately, he refunded (only) a portion of the costly repair and told us never to come back! As if we would. Which, ironically, is 100% confirmation that this guy lacks critical thinking skills when it matters most. Because after all the wasted money and additional expense-why would we.

The next day while traveling she had a blowout on the drivers side front tire near Livingston, AL on I59. She did not run over anything, it was just a defective tire. The van was towed to a tire store in Livingston that inspected the tire and determined it was defective. They replaced it with different brand, (Toyo). I called Bayou Motors the next day and explained what happened. They said my wife must have hit something and they were not responsible. I will never patronize this business again.

Steven had my 4 wheel over a year and keep coming up with different excuses on why it still didnt run. He said he needed some money upfront to fix it because it was an older model. I asked if he could fix everything for a 1000 he said he could so i gave him a deposit of 700 Sept 2024. Now I picked it up Sept 2025 because i was tired of waiting. Now he won't return my money saying I owe him more because of trouble shooting. I would be happy to pay if it were running. He stops responding after a while so I started just showing up at shop.
