My husband and I are first time dog owners. I am obsessed with research, and being overly prepared. When we decided to adopt a dog from Homes for Happy Dogs that was labeled 'dog aggressive,' I had a minor panic attack. Her personality is perfect, everything about her is perfect, except that. The unknown scares the you know what out of me, and I knew the weeks before we got her home and I could start to get to know her and work with her were going to be hell. And then Joe came along. We met with him once, and I already felt a million times better. He walked us through how to establish a relationship of trust that would serve as our foundation for training her. He doesn't dive right into the one problem, he gives you the tools you're going to need to fix that problem, and others that might come up too.
The second time we met with him, I went from being stressed out about bringing her home, to totally excited. He trains the people just as much as he works with the dog, and that is how you get your money's worth when it comes to dog training.
We have met with Joe twice now, and I feel more confident then I ever thought I would before bringing our dog home, and we will definitely continue to work with him after. I have been recommending him to everyone I know who has a dog, is getting a dog, might be getting a dog... you name it!
Thank you Joe! read more
