He has some awesome mopeds in his showroom, and he also does commissioned bikes as well. When I started looking into buying a moped, I found plenty of them available for sale...from people I've never met, who may or may not have maintained their machine well. Then I ran across a moped from The Crypt...a 1984 Puch Maxi LS. The confidence I got from buying from a shop run by someone who clearly knows his way around a moped and enjoys working on them made it an easy decision, and the bike is running great. Josh has been available to answer my questions and give me advice, which is much appreciated. If you are looking for a fun summer ride that'll also get 90mpg, look no further. They'll probably have a sweet ride ready for pickup, or you can have one built custom!

It wasn't holding air pressure, and one of shocks was starting to weep. He called Gilson Cycle, and then went by to check the place out. It's right on Pipestone Rd, a block beyond Napier. Very easy to find. "Himself" and the gent behind the counter talked about the issue, and took a look at the bike. The quote we were given was a pleasant surprise. We were told that they were a bit backed up, but they could get to it in a few days. A few days later, just as "Himself" was thinking on calling for a status, we get a call saying, "Come get your bike." The price was $100 less than the quote, and the front end is tight. "Himself" is very pleased and wanted me to let other Yelpers know about this wonderful establishment. Thanks for the great job, guys! We'll be back!

The bike is often hard to start, stalls constantly, brakes are weak, and the pegs have broken twice. The first two batteries were defective. But I don't recommend it unless you are too old to ride anything bigger, have deep pockets, and have the time and experience to work on it. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) gives the company its lowest rating of F for failure to address complaints about mechanical and warranty issues.
