Chicken Bitter Leaf Ndole Sauce
Erica L.

What a gem! Lovely Cameroonian restaurant that also has some Caribbean and other African dishes. Very welcoming service. It is a hole in the wall but the food is delicious and flavorful. We tried and really enjoyed the chicken in bitterleaf sauce with gaffi (cassava) fufu, goat stew with stewed cabbage, and a salmon pastie. All were hits for the family, including our toddler. I really liked the bitterleaf sauce and the goat stew.

Jerk mushroom with yam fufu

I loved the food here I got the jerk mushroom with yam fufu. My food was soo flavorful! My boyfriend got the lamb and rice and beans which was also delicious. The service was great and the owner is extremely nice and friendly! I loved how they have vegan options here.

Vegan peanut stew

My friend and I have been dying to try this place for over a year after a previous attempt to visit. I'm happy to say it was worth the wait! We ordered the tofu peanut stew and the chicken egusi. Both were delicious and completely new flavor profiles for us, but the peanut stew was the star of the show! I could eat it every day. The thing to keep in mind for this spot - and the reason that we weren't able to eat the first time - is that it's all run by one lovely woman with no help. The result is that service is understandably very slow and it's difficult to accommodate groups. I definitely want to come back because I loved the food, but it's definitely best to set your expectations accordingly - take-out may be the move if you can. I think both the items we tried are worth ordering and I'm excited to try out more on the menu. We were also pleasantly surprised to see such a huge range of vegan options!

Goat stew

Looked up places to eat while here visiting. When I pulled up to this side of the road restaurant, my expectations went through the roof because that means there would be no fluff. They did not disappoint got the goat stew and follow. Was very tasty and could have been more spicy for me, but meat was cooked to perfection. The lady who was working was sweet, was the server and cook so didn't get alot of attention but wasn't really needed,as the food was there steaming hot.if you in the area give it a try.

Oxtail stew with the two Oxtail Stew with 2 Sides Jollof Rice and 3 Greens

I been wanting to try for the longest and finally went in and place an order to go. The service was good and fast and food was fresh and hot. The owner and even another worker there greeted myself and my two girls smiling and talking. Ambiance was very welcoming. I almost forgot to take a picture of my food. We started eating already but a good amount of food for sure. All the food super good and fresh. I will be returning and I highly recommend

Food was cold and not very good. Maybe if I order at the establishment it would of been better. Maybe in the future I will do that.

Might have been the worst, dryest, most flavorless suya I've ever had and the Stew was pretty bad to... I actually just threw it all away

UberEats review…read more Service: given the distance of the restaurant, the order took a bit long but it was packaged well so nothing spilled and the food was still still fresh and warm. Dish: I ordered the spice wings with a side of jollof rice and spinach Efo-Riro. OMG! So let's start with the wings, the flavor on these wings were the right balance between rich spices and touch of sweetness. There was a hint of honey lingering on my tongue after it was greeted by a strong spicy flavor. Adding to this, the wings were fried to perfection with crispy skin resting on the top and smooth white meat down to the bone. AMAZING! The jollof rice was stellar! And while I do not know much about the perfect preparation for this dish to review if this is the best, I've had a few from various West African countries and can say that this one had that grainy texture with just the right spices mixed in. The spinach efo-riro was SO good. I honestly could have had a plate of this by itself and my taste buds would still be pleased. Overall, this place is very generous with their serving sizes. Well portioned, beautifully prepared, seasoned to perfection, and a sure trip down culture lane! I enjoyed it so much.

Favorites were the rich, thickly textured, moderately spicy palm nut soup with goat and beef, the dark and flavorful waakye rice and bean dish, the chicken suya, and the jollof rice. All the sauces were delicious. The fried turkey tail dish was well-prepared, but not my favorite. Portions were generous and every dish offered great value. We'll definitely go back. Dining in was comfortable but utilitarian and no frills. The pace was un-rushed--perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable dinner, but it wouldn't be ideal if you were in a hurry. If you've never tried west African food, I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food is Ghanaian so you'll find a lot of west African staples here. I ordered their Suya rice with chicken and beef. My wife ordered the acheke with fried fish and ordered a plate of jollof to take home. The suya fried rice was my favorite dish. It's one of their own creations but it's a fried rice with suya spice in it. It's not as spicy as I personally like, but I'm a huge fan of spice so I imagine it's a good level for most people. The jollof was also pretty good. I'll say that the chicken and beef in both the jollof and suya fried rice were a little dry, but they had good flavor to them so it can be overlooked. The acheke was standard for what I expect from it. The fried fish could have used a little bit of seasoning but was fine to go with it. Food took about 20 mins to be cooked but I appreciate that it's done fresh. The service was great! Kevin was the one who took our order and helped us with any additional requests while we ate. Definitely love the soul he adds to the restaurant. The ambiance is pretty casual. The one thing to note is that the parking lot can be a bit small so parking may take more than one try if you have a bigger car.

A humble but delicious Ethiopian experience…read more Tigi's Ethiopian Restaurant is the best Ethiopian restaurant in Howard County. While it doesn't sport a large establishment with only modest decorations, the quality of the food they serve makes it well worth repeat visits. Tigi serves traditional Ethiopian food, small blended dishes, typically pastes or chopped meats and vegtables, heavily seasoned and topped on injera, a flat spongy bread that has a hint of sour flavor. The injera is both your plate and utensils as you tear off chunks of it to grab and scoop your other dishes. Ethiopian food is typically communal, shared among friends and family, but Tigi offers smaller portions that can be personalized if you're more comfortable not sharing. If you're new to Tigi, or Ethiopian food in general, I suggest their Meat Combo 3, which offers three different meat dishes and three different vegetable dishes. You get some level of customization for the dishes, and I suggest getting a beef, chicken, and lamb dish and any of the vegetable dishes that catches your eye. The vegetable dishes are also vegan friendly! I don't suggest ordering extra injera, as Tigi provides a mountain of them with any of their combo meals. One of Tigi's biggest strengths is that you can order their food to go, making them the first Ethiopian takeout spot I've ever been to. Tigi also has a small connected store that acts as an Ethiopian market. If you love Ethiopian or want to try it, Tigi's is a great spot in Howard County.
