I purchased a vegetarian dish - Bombay Aloo - potatoes with cumin, plain nann and nann with potatoe with garlic dipping sauce, as well as Tandoori Butter Masala with chicken, and a mixed platter for two (Chicken pakora, vegetable pakora, onion bhaji, chicken tikka & seekh kebab) Everything was delivered fast and very hot, both main courses were gorgeous and I would definitely say that this place is the best Indian I've ever had, great taste, great selection and didn't get poisoned like a few take aways seem to love to do.. The only down side to the food was that the platter for two was all burnt and tasted terrible, I was surprised that it even came from the same place, luckily I had ordered enough food to discard the platter, but seriously, sort out your basic onion bhajis!

I had butter chicken, meat samosas, and garlic naan. Between the 3 of us, we all got our own butter chicken and samosas, but split 2 orders of garlic naan. It was more than enough food! Really good sized portions and everything was SO tasty. I would eat this same exact meal if I were to go back because I enjoyed it so much. And this was during the evening, not some sort of early-bird special. We were greeted by a very polite gentleman and shown to a table. The restaurant itself was decorated on the fancier side of the standard Indian decor template. There was only one other table there that evening, who, although they arrived before us, were still there when we were leaving, their plates long since removed. There was a decent variety of dishes on the specials menu. I ordered a Peshwari kebab for my starter, and a chicken rogan josh for my main. The two courses were served almost simultaneously. A Peshwari kebab is in essence a lamb burger - which was grand - and the rogan josh was very tasty. I was pleased to see that the two course deal included naan breads. It's always nice when they don't try to stiff you by not including such essential extras such as naans. I can't remember what the other two lads had, but it's safe to say that we were all thoroughly satisfied. The service was very prompt, almost too attentive - there was a waiter posted over my shoulder almost constantly, and he took up the bill almost the second after I'd paid it. I've mentioned before that I'm a teeny bit uncomfortable with the idea of being waited on, but I suppose i'm nit-picking, and I'd no doubt be giving out if the service was slow. Just as we were leaving, the chef and (I assume) the proprietor himself came out and shook my hand, which was an unexpected and nice touch. One word of warning, though - they bring you out a little saucer of toffees once you've finished the meal. I ate one which was soft and yielding, and when I chomped down on the second one, assuming it to be of a similar consistency, I almost severely damaged the muscles on the left-hand side of my jaw, so watch out for the toffees. I had the chicken Karahi which was really tasty and a dish I had never heard of before with peppers and chunks of onion. The naan bread was I think the best I have ever had, light and freshly made. The friendliness of the staff really made an impression. The waiter was chatty and friendly and the chef even came out for a chat too! So it was nice to be able to compliment him on his food. It was a very tasty main, I did enjoy the paneer and my wife enjoyed my sauce more than her own as it was sweeter. The only thing missing, that I expected to find, was green peas and only because they are always in this dish when I order it. Their absence didn't affect the dish, I was just surprised not to get them. The only disappointment was the peshwari nan as the filling was so thin we simply couldn't detect any of the flavours we expected but given the price I wouldn't drop a star. My advice is put the price up a bit and put in some more filling. Our friends enjoyed their dishes but I only recall one main - chicken biryani with the same 'sour' sauce and a garlic nan.
