I had high hopes for Caprilina and was looking forward to supporting this boutique for a very…read morespecial purchase--my first grandchild's homecoming outfit. After multiple emails and Instagram DMs, I made the trip from West Palm Beach to Miami with the understanding that I would be able to meet with the owner, Cynthia. This purchase was meaningful to me, and I had specifically inquired about meeting her. Despite her very active presence on Instagram--where she is shown personally assisting customers and helping coordinate baby outfits--I was told she would not be available. When I arrived, I noticed several women in the back working on sewing and monogramming, but I was eventually approached by Isabella. If she is meant to be representing the brand as a salesperson, there is definite room for improvement. She was unengaged and unhelpful--I had to pull all the information out of her myself. She did not offer additional outfit options or accessories, nor was I shown monogram styles. When I asked if they could email me the monogram for approval, I was told to simply look on Instagram. Later, I received a text message from an unknown number with a photo of the finished product. The layout of the lettering was incorrect, and the monogram included indentations I was never shown or approved. When I raised this concern, the person texting me simply replied that it was already done and could not be changed. No solution or accountability was offered. I also purchased a pillow for $75, only to find on their website that the pillow and blanket are listed together for that same price. This is very misleading. When I brought up all of these concerns and again asked to speak with Cynthia, I was told she would not be calling me back and that I was "interrupting her vacation." Cynthia is a small business owner, and I think it's incredibly rude and unprofessional to tell a paying customer--especially one spending over $300--that they're disturbing her time off. For someone so visible on social media, presenting herself as hands-on and personally involved, I expected more personalized care and customer service. Instead, I was given none of what is shown online. Cynthia portrays on her Instagram that shopping at Caprillina is a whole experience--well, I'm here to tell you, it's not. Still have not heard back regarding this situation from owner. I would not recommend Caprilina

She'd visited…read morethe store while she was in Miami from oversees and loved the store so much she made certain to tell me she wanted her shower gift to be from there. Upon entering the store I was taken aback by how well made the children's clothing is, and the fabrics used are obviously of great quality. The sales person was extremely helpful and told me that the owner takes custom orders so that customers can mix and match fabrics to dress their children in similar styles. I loved the store and plan on visiting again whenever i'm in the market for children's fashion.

On 05/24/16 my spouse and I visited Baby Elegant in an effort to possibly resolve an issue with a…read morespecial order blanket that we purchased back on 03/14/16 prior to our baby's birth. The issue was noted when we washed one of the (2) blankets and noticed the strings were loosening on one of the blankets. So as stated we visited the location so that we could express our concern. The lady at the counter would not allow my spouse to explain the problem and automatically blamed us for the defective product. The employee would not even examine the blanket for herself. The employee was very argumentative and stated that all items must be hand washed, our blankets did not have any type of instructions on how to care for them neither did the receipt describe otherwise. The blankets in question were not ruined we just wanted to be reassured on how we can have (1) of them possibly rethreaded? Unfortunately the Lady working the counter chose not to listen to the customer but rather argue and blame us. There were "Red Flags" from day one when we placed the order, since that day our blankets were over 10 days late and we never received a call from them, we had to contact the store and they told us their sewing machine was broken and that is why there was a delay?? A phone call would have been nice! More so the older gentleman who placed the order indicated that once the blankets were washed to not be concerned on how wrinkled they get but to make sure to have it ironed. Not once did he state they should be hand washed. On 05/24/16, The older gentleman was also there and admitted to us that he did not indicate specifically on how the blankets should be washed. Both women and older man were extremely disrespectful to my spouse, our new born baby and Myself. I was in total disbelief. I apologize for such a long review but we have never had such unprofessional interaction from a store that should be more mindful of their customers. The store sells what appears to be very nice Spaniard fabric clothing and other apparel and accessories for babies but as for the customer service and overall treatment you might as well go to a store front in the slums of Miami! Horrible experience! Stay away. They will kill you with kindness at first but once you give them your hard earned money don't expect them to help you with any type of exchange or return. We were not looking for a refund or a new blanket all we were looking for was a way to help fix the product and we were not given the opportunity to explain that to the people working there.
