After a long, hard early labor our birth plan changed while at the hospital. Our doulas were there to help us discuss our options and give us space and guidance to make the best choices for us and our baby. It wasn't the birth we initially planned for, but it was the most empowered and in control birth I've had. Mona did our placenta encapsulation and they have been a wonderful supplement to my postpartum nutrition! If we ever have another baby this will be the first call we make!

She was always professional and kind. I loved how she offered two ways of preparing the pills along with a tonic as well. She was prompt to pick up the placenta at the birth center. Kyleen went above and beyond to get me the finished placenta pills in half the time she quoted. She went way out of her way to deliver them to my house, which is in the middle of no where. When she dropped the placenta pills off she stayed to ensure that everything was good with the baby, birth, breastfeeding, siblings, comfort, mood and pain level. Which, again, was way above the service I paid for.  The actual product was amazing. I recommend Kyleen to everyone in Tucson and placenta encapsulation to absolutely everyone. They were my mood enhancing, hormone stabilizing, super milk production, anti- baby acne and energy pills. Being first time parents,…read moretransitioning out of work and into this new life of parenting a newborn, we needed all the support we could get to help us get off the ground as we came home from the hospital. Chelsea was absolutely incredible, she was with us for the evenings the first week our little one came into the world. We also had her back for the week my husband transitioned back to work so I could get caught up on sleep. Chelsea taught us a lot of great tricks to try for calming our fussy baby, she helped around the house, and she's the swaddle queen. Ask for a lesson and practice, you won't regret it. She was open to our long list of continuous questions, and helped us see that we had to continue to try a combination of things until something worked to soothe our baby. Chelsea also continued to reinforce our efforts and remind us we were doing a great job, even on days we were ready to give up. I'm so grateful to Anna at Arizona Doulas for making the time to have an introductory call with us at the beginning to help us understand how a doula could be beneficial. Nicole was professional; she worked extremely well with my nurses and doctors. She was a constant support during the whole process and she was extremely intuitive to my needs. On their website, they offer services that you can pay for that may or may not be covered by insurance. When my daughter was a baby, she was very small, and so many doctors were convinced that she needed an NG tube. Nina worked with her and helped us avoid that. She also helped my daughter work through a food aversion that had developed after so many doctors were adding and taking things away from her diet. Nina helped us get my daughter back to eating solids and, most importantly to me, she helped us get back to breastfeeding after my daughter had been taken off the breast and put on formula because of her weight. But beyond all of that, Nina was my emotional support during a really difficult time. I was constantly worried and overwhelmed with everything the doctors were telling me, and she reassured me that my daughter was okay, thriving, and that I was doing a good job as her mom. Looking back now, my daughter is healthy, happy, and thriving, and I will forever be grateful to Nina for the support and care she gave both of us. She truly made such a difference in our lives.
