I cannot imagine my birth story without Marie. From our first meeting I knew she was a perfect fit…read more I had a scheduled induction for medical reasons and from the moment my induction began, she was the steady, nurturing anchor my entire family needed. Everyone tells you that Pitocin contractions are a different level of intensity, and I know for a fact I wouldn't have survived two hours of unmedicated labor without Marie right by my side. She was perfectly in sync with me--mimicking breathing techniques, providing hip squeezes, and offering the exact words of encouragement I needed to keep going. What truly makes Marie amazing however, is how she cared for my entire support system. My husband and mom both have knee issues, and my husband can get queasy, yet Marie made sure they were comfortable and involved without ever feeling pushed aside. She managed the 'roles' we had discussed prior perfectly: she empowered my husband to be my advocate and supported my mom in her role of comfort, all while keeping the peace and ensuring no one's feelings were hurt.Even when nerves were high in the room, Marie's calming energy was infectious. She even formed a beautiful partnership with our nurse, supporting him just as much as she supported us. Marie has a rare gift for making everyone in the room feel loved, seen, and capable. If you want a doula who is as skilled with physical support as she is with emotional intelligence and family dynamics, Marie is the one. She turned a high-intensity induction into an experience where I felt completely held and empowered.

She always made me feel calm, confident, and supported, and she was such a reassuring presence for both me and my husband during birth. She went above and beyond in every way, and I am so grateful she was part of such a special and life-changing experience!

She provided us with invaluable support before, during, and after my birth. In short, Kelsey is an exceptional doula-don't hesitate to hire her! Before meeting Kelsey, I didn't know a lot about doulas; I just knew I wanted all the expert support I could get going through my first pregnancy and labor. My understanding of Doula meant home birth with a midwife, but I planned to give birth at TMC with my OB.  I first contacted Kelsey through her website (after thoroughly stalking her Instagram hygge.birth.services) when I was about three months pregnant; we scheduled a video call meeting to get to know her. After our initial call, Kelsey left her email and phone open for any follow-up questions we might have while deciding whether to become her client. Kelsey's service offerings are comprehensive, and we opted for her Complete Birth and Postpartum Support Package. While I was Kelsey's primary client, my husband also benefitted greatly from her support. We had a group text throughout the pregnancy to address any questions or concerns, ensuring we were both well-informed and prepared. Kelsey's support was instrumental in keeping us on the same page, especially when I went into labor and was unable to communicate as effectively.  Even if you're not interested in a doula for your entire pregnancy journey, I highly recommend taking Kelsey's Childbirth Education Course (CBE). She offers private sessions in your home. She is offering a reduced rate as she is in training, which is a fantastic deal. I wish we had started her CBE course when we were family planning; there is so much information that would've been really helpful in the early days of our pregnancy. Even starting when we did, around 6 months, there was still an abundance of information we took away from it. Taking her course would also be a great way to get to know Kelsey if you're not sure you need a Doula yet. On our second night home with our baby girl, she wouldn't stop crying, and my husband and I were at our wit's end. The "5 S's" weren't working. I sent Kelsey a frantic text at 11 p.m., and to my surprise, she quickly responded with encouragement and guidance. I'm sure that isn't always possible, but that's just one example of how Kelsey goes above and beyond to support her clients. Kelsey is also an amazing Mama. With a toddler and infant, she's in the thick of parenthood, which is just an added bonus. She is also very organized, which was helpful for my very disorganized personality. Although our formal package with Kelsey has ended, we will stay in touch. I plan to hire her for additional postpartum support visits. She's kind, caring, compassionate, and a great advocate. I'm very grateful she was a part of our birth journey.

When my daughter was a baby, she was very small, and so many doctors were convinced that she needed an NG tube. Nina worked with her and helped us avoid that. She also helped my daughter work through a food aversion that had developed after so many doctors were adding and taking things away from her diet. Nina helped us get my daughter back to eating solids and, most importantly to me, she helped us get back to breastfeeding after my daughter had been taken off the breast and put on formula because of her weight. But beyond all of that, Nina was my emotional support during a really difficult time. I was constantly worried and overwhelmed with everything the doctors were telling me, and she reassured me that my daughter was okay, thriving, and that I was doing a good job as her mom. Looking back now, my daughter is healthy, happy, and thriving, and I will forever be grateful to Nina for the support and care she gave both of us. She truly made such a difference in our lives. I couldn't recommend Milk & Honey and Nina enough!

Cassandra went beyond our expectations. She was able to prepare us and provide a lot of knowledge and support prior to labor. She taught us a lot of techniques we could use before, during, and after labor. She listened to me and my partner, which was another important thing for us. As for the most part, my birthing plan did not go as I had planned. I ended up having preeclampsia and got induced 3 weeks early. I couldn't have done it without Cassandra and my partner, though. Cassandra made sure I was comfortable; she brought snacks, tea, games, a tablet to watch movies, and even went out to go get me a slushie I was craving so badly. She brought all of her tools as well. She also took pictures that we will forever cherish. Her support and knowledge were everything we needed and more. I honestly could not have done it without her; she was absolutely amazing! She also kept my placenta and made tablets for me. She was also going to make a keepsake out of the cord and make it into a heart, but was unable to since my cord was so short. Cassandra has stayed in touch with us and provided a ton of resources for me, which has been so helpful. If you are looking for someone to listen to you, provide knowledge, support you, and go beyond for you, Cassandra is the perfect doula for you.

She is very knowledgeable and didn't hesitate to answer questions that fell out of the realm of the services I paid for. She gave detailed instruction about how to prepare and store everything. She was always professional and kind. I loved how she offered two ways of preparing the pills along with a tonic as well. She was prompt to pick up the placenta at the birth center. Kyleen went above and beyond to get me the finished placenta pills in half the time she quoted. She went way out of her way to deliver them to my house, which is in the middle of no where. When she dropped the placenta pills off she stayed to ensure that everything was good with the baby, birth, breastfeeding, siblings, comfort, mood and pain level. Which, again, was way above the service I paid for.  The actual product was amazing. I recommend Kyleen to everyone in Tucson and placenta encapsulation to absolutely everyone. They were my mood enhancing, hormone stabilizing, super milk production, anti- baby acne and energy pills. After I expressed sadness that they were almost gone Kyleen even gave me instructions on how I could make a tonic out of what was left.   Did I mention that she made the umbilical cord into a perfect heart. Which at first I thought I wouldn't want, but I absolutely love it. If I were to have another child Kyleen would, without a doubt, be by my side.
