Colleen is a truly a genius when it comes to babies, lactation, family dynamics, mental health, and anything else that could possibly come up post-baby. We love that we can text her and get instant answers - Google has nothing on her! She was also an amazing health advocate for me because of her background as an RN (even joining in doc apts) as I had complex postpartum complications and our family will always be so grateful for her guidance and positivity. We also hired Colleen for her sleep specialist program/sleep training and her custom schedule, coaching, and tips made it so easy. Our son has been sleeping through the night and taking 4 naps a day since 3.5 months old. (Now he's a pretty chill baby, but Colleen is magic.) Working with her is worth every penny, whether it's for a first baby or navigating multiples. I'm writing a long review because I'm so passionate about Colleen's work and I hope others hire her to make their postpartum journeys a million times better than you can possibly imagine. Thank you, Colleen!!!!

What an incredible experience my husband and I had with Arizona Doulas. Being first time parents,…read moretransitioning out of work and into this new life of parenting a newborn, we needed all the support we could get to help us get off the ground as we came home from the hospital. Chelsea was absolutely incredible, she was with us for the evenings the first week our little one came into the world. We also had her back for the week my husband transitioned back to work so I could get caught up on sleep. Chelsea taught us a lot of great tricks to try for calming our fussy baby, she helped around the house, and she's the swaddle queen. Ask for a lesson and practice, you won't regret it. She was open to our long list of continuous questions, and helped us see that we had to continue to try a combination of things until something worked to soothe our baby. Chelsea also continued to reinforce our efforts and remind us we were doing a great job, even on days we were ready to give up. I'm so grateful to Anna at Arizona Doulas for making the time to have an introductory call with us at the beginning to help us understand how a doula could be beneficial. Anna provided the various options and let us customize our support needs. Anna made sure we knew this journey was about us and getting situated and acclimated as a newly expanded family. We are so appreciative of the support and great communication we received from Arizona Doulas, and if you get a chance to request Chelsea, do it, you won't regret it!!!

We decided that we wanted to use a doula when we began researching the labor and birthing process here in the United States. Our ultimate goal was to get our baby here safely, however, we wanted to do it in the most natural way possible. Having Nicole as my and my husband's support helped us acheive exactly what we wanted from our birth experience! Nicole even provided support to my mom who was present during labor and delivery. Nicole was professional; she worked extremely well with my nurses and doctors. She was a constant support during the whole process and she was extremely intuitive to my needs. I cannot imagine going through the birthing process without her there. If my husband and I are lucky enough to have another child, we won't even consider going through the process without a doula, and if Nicole is willing to support us again we would love to have her there. Thank you Nicole for being such a wonderful support and doula! And thank you Arizona Doulas for matching us with her!

I've attended to some of their classes through my agency; specifically a class called "babies's first tastes",which discusses the introduction of food to infants through baby lead weaning. On their website, they offer services that you can pay for that may or may not be covered by insurance. They offer classes that are free to the public for new moms and their babies, including a breast-feeding support class on Fridays. Look at their calendar to confirm availability. When we (my husband & I) were called back for our appointment, she only shook my hand. I understand that it's an appointment for me and baby but as my biggest supporter, I felt that he was dismissed from the very beginning. During the appointment all was going smoothly until she asked about my medical history, and my husband made a comment that I've struggled with anxiety since we met and Rodin then commented back "have you guys been together for like a thousand years or something?". Her comment not really even making sense, but I found that her comment was very unprofessional, dismissive, unnecessary, and to an extent disrespectful to us both. Like I said, this was my first experience and I purposely scheduled with someone else the next time. Don't schedule with Rodin, her expertise was good but her customer care was horrible and if anyone should know better not to kick someone while they are down it is her with her knowledge in postpartum care. First impression is everything!
