We stayed at this hotel during our trip and it wasn't bad at all. We did pay extra for a corner…read moreroom and it was nice. C H E C K - I N It was relatively easy for check in and they do speak both French and English which is helpful. But if you're not used to Québécois French, it might be a little hard to understand as my bf is fluent in French but he had a hard time understanding to the point the person at the desk switched to English. They will clean your room once so decide when you'd like to get it cleaned. We ended up not wanting to get our room cleaned and just asked for more toilet paper and towels when we needed it. E L E V A T O R I appreciated the hand sanitizer near the elevator. Due to COVID, one family or folks staying in one room can be in the elevator at any given time. So no mixing groups in the elevator which is great and helpful during these challenging times. The elevators are quite responsive and quick! R O O M The room is pretty spacious with a bathroom area, kitchenette area with a microwave and fridge, a sitting area and the bed. The bed was a nice king sized bed with comfortable bedding. I slept well :) The only thing is the heating situation, we couldn't figure out how to set it to a high enough temperature where it would stop turning on and off too often as we are a bit light sleepers. We eventually figured out a sweet spot after a couple days where we weren't disrupted too often or way too hot or cold in the middle of the night. The bathroom situation was a little interesting. They had a frosted area with a graphic for the shower area so you can actually see the person showering inside. So it may be a bit awkward if you go with someone you're not that close to. The toilet also didn't have a fan for any number 2 situations so again unless you're super comfortable with the person you may be traveling with, then this might be a little awkward. Maybe bring some poopouri. The toilet paper was a bit thin which is typical of hotels. The towels smelled normal instead of your over bleached towel situation. The TV has a few channels in both French and English which was nice. I spent my time watching news or Christmas movies while we were there. They had several areas with normal plugs and also USB charging which was nice. O V E R A L L It was definitely a nice room, but the heating/AC system was a bit challenging. The bathroom situation can be a bit awkward if you're sharing the room. Other than that, it's great to be near the DIX30 shopping area as it's convenient to walk around, park, as well as get food or shop! The staff was quite helpful and they even gave us a do-it-yourself hot cocoa inside a clear ball ornament. Will definitely consider this place again if we visit in the future.

I listen to the rhythmic, percussive (maybe tympanic) undulations of the AC. I'm breathing in deeply the scent of old smoke from where the room used to be a smoking room? The furniture/curtains/carpet are old enough that they would have been around when smoking in a hotel room was normal ... room reeks of smoke. old... worn out ... smelly... and EXPENSIVE for this crappy room. In the same 10 day trip we stayed at the Best Western Fredericton. THAT was a class act. Modern, clean, and clean smelling, with modern furnishings, comfortable mattress and pillows... and NO stress. Brossard BW needs to take a look at what Fredericton is doing a take note. If Best Western Corporate would allow me to contact them directly I would have done so... instead I am here letting you all know what a dive it is. The positive reviews have either too little experience or too low standards... for the money I paid I could (SHOULD) have done a whole lot better. P.S. Keep flushing... eventually it will go.

Definitely an above average hotel here in Montreal…read more Technically, the hotel is not in Montreal, but instead in Longueuil (Don't ask me to pronounce it), which is a city directly east of Montreal. It's only about a short 15 minute drive from Montreal's city center, so it's very conveniently located. In addition, the rooms were shockingly inexpensive, so if you don't want to spend an arm and leg, but still be pretty close to the city center, this IS the hotel to stay at. We found the rooms to be clean and spacious enough for 3 people. The mini fridge in the room wasn't exactly super cool for storing cold beverages, but it worked. There is also a free continental breakfast every morning from 6-10am, where they have boiled eggs, muffins, pastries, cereal, juices, milk, coffee and fruits. It's not the greatest hotel complimentary breakfast ever, but we thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the addictively delicious chocolate croissants! Also, there is a very large parking lot for hotel guests on the premises so you won't have trouble finding parking here. It's free for guests and can only be accessed with a room key. If you're visiting Montreal, this hotel is as good as it gets in terms of having all of the amenities you need to have an enjoyable stay - relatively inexpensive, clean rooms, free parking for guests, complimentary breakfast. And DO NOT leave without trying those chocolate croissants during breakfast! Need I say more???

Room was very nice with a mini fridge, small desk and a very strange chair in the corner. It may have looked cool, but I tried it but it was hardly comfortable! The dogs used it for looking out the windows. The bathroom was spacious with a wooden spa bench for getting dressed, plus plenty of high quality towels. Bonus points for a make up mirror! The lounge is a mix of comfortable chairs/couches and nice for a glass of wine. The front desk will happily make you a latte and there are a selection of menu items for a light breakfast or lunch. While there are no microwaves in the room, you can use the one in the lobby. Free parking was also a huge reason to stay in Broussard vs. Montreal. Luckily I was wrong. On the outside the hotel looks like nothing to write home about but the inside is nicely done. We checked in pretty late and there were two young men working at the desk and had us checked in in minutes. Both spoke English well. He knew we booked our room with free points but did not skimp and give us a trashy room. We got exactly the room we had reserved, top floor corner with double beds. Most importantly, they listened to my request and did not spray the room with air freshener. Our room was a decent size. The TV worked well and the room did not smell like smoke, thankfully. It was quiet for the most part but late at night we could hear one of the neighbors TV loudly. My biggest complaint would be the shower. The pressure was extremely low and made it hard to rinse my hair. What impressed me the most was the complimentary breakfast. They had make your own waffles just like we have in the states and they came in original and blueberry flavors. Their breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had. Other items included oatmeal, cereal (fruit loops, Rice Krispies, raisin bran) bread, peanut butter and jelly, yogurt, etc. the room was nicely done and the lady who worked their stocked up finished items in a timely fashion. On a weekday the breakfast ran until 9:30am. A few things you should beware of: the first floor rooms all have a patio door. This means you can walk directly from your car to your room. Personally, it would make me feel scared for my safety but some may like it. There are no elevators and the hotel employees did not offer to help us with our many bags. They allow dogs for an extra $25 per stay. The hotel is located about 25 minutes outside of Montreal and we did hit some traffic from the construction going in and out of the city. It's located near a ton of chain stores, grocery stores and food establishments. Mall Champlain is a few minutes away from the hotel. I did not feel unsafe in the neighborhood. I liked the hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again next tim I go to Montreal.

The decor in the room wasn't super new or out of date, it's exactly what I'd expect from a hotel in this price range. Every morning we got a bag of snacks delivered to our room in lieu of a breakfast due to Covid restrictions. Considering they could have cancelled breakfast altogether, this was a welcome addition - bottles of water, fruit, cheese, granola bars, yogurts, they really gave quite a few things (plus there was coffee and a pot in the room already). Staff were friendly and helpful. The area itself is convenient, with Atwater metro and Alexis Nihon mall a 5 minute walk away. The local standout for us was Shaughnessy Cafe, a 2 minute walk away. On this visit, I had a corner room on an upper floor with windows on two side sides that looked out into the neighborhood. It was a really impressive and stunning view.
