Room was clean, beds were comfy, they provided enough pillows. We had wifi and TV. No breakfast (not expected but it might have been nice to have an apple or an orange but we had to go to the front counter to get coffee). My biggest complaint is that the farthest door from the office did not open with a card key. This was only important because our room, a room for disabled people, was located just a couple of doors down from this exit (you could exit but not enter). It would have been so much easier to be able to enter through this entry. Also, there was a mysterious bag of bedspreads in a bag outside one of the doors that didn't disappear in two days, why was it not picked up? Weird. read more

It seemed clean upon check in. Front desk clerk was not exactly friendly but it was easy checking in. Clean refrigerator. Clean bathroom. Beds super comfy. It was quiet. Sad that there is no coffee but there was a microwave if needed. Great location, plenty of services nearby. That night though, we discovered the floors must not be mopped AT ALL, EVER! Our feet and socks were black. Absolutely black. Filthy! So if you don't mind wearing shoes the entire time, this place is fine. read more

There's good parking across the street and the hotel is inexpensive, clean and convenient. Staff are likewise friendly. In six years Ive never had a bad experience. The stay was quiet and cozy. We stay here all the time when we visit Oregon. It's our favorite haunt because there are groceries and gas stations all over this area. I love that they allow pets. They have a terrific pool and patio. There are tons of parking places. We will continue using this location each time we come back on vacation as well. read more

I gave 4 stars because we know our risk when we stay at motel 6. We know what arena we are entering and this was one of the better ones. I've stayed at some motel 6 that made me wanna pack up and got to a KOA. I was actually super thankful at seeing the giant stack of mattress out front because that means they've been doing some good renovations in the right direction. On our way back to the Boise area we needed a place to stay. Decided on this Motel 6 as the rooms were a good value and they do not charge a pet fee. We were traveling with our 2 Wirehaire Doxies. All concerns went away as we stepped into our room. Very clean, sparse furniture, laminate floors (no carpet!) The room was perfect for those not wanting a fancy at a fancy price. To start with both people running the front desk were professional AND friendly! Wish I had gotten their names. When travelling to & from Washington state we will definitely be staying here in the future. The only negative was the rooms do not come with a coffee maker. Now that I know this I will pack my insta hot pot on future trips. They do have coffee in the office after 6am. read more

Staff was amazing...but unfortunately that was the only good part about the motel. The room had stains on the pillowcases, which also smelled unpleasant. Mold in the shower. Bed side had tons of stains. They had no toiletries to give out because of covid they claimed, but yet the staff doesn't have to wear masks? The walls literally looked like they haven't been been cleaned in MONTHS. Dirt, food, and something in the bathroom that literally looked like blood. The location looks a little sketchy from the outside but the staff was very friendly and the room was attractive and clean. The beds were comfortable. The TV worked. The only complaint I had, besides the location, was that the faucet in the sink was installed backwards and my son burned his hands a little. Surely nothing fancy here but the room is very clean and is perfect for the one night stay on a long road traveled. Room resembles a dorm room, only had enough towels and toiletries for one person although we booked for two, and the only complaint is the god awful scratchy towels that were available. They were makeup stained and very very very rough. It looks like the inside of the hotel has recently received an upgrade, let's hope they replace these awful towels. I am not expecting luxury, but these were absolutely terrible. However, the water pressure was great, the water was hot, the bed was comfy, and it was exactly what we needed. The room was clean and the staff were not rude however the policy in particular regarding the deposit and return of the deposit policy and process is not clearly communicated during the check-in process and therefore results in a real runaround and delay in the return of the hundred dollar required deposit. Let me elaborate, upon checking into the room we were informed that would be $100 deposit, implying that once we checked out of the room that $100 deposit would be returned however that was only really implied because so in fact in order to get your hundred dollar deposit back you have to actually check out with the front desk and physically ask them about your deposit and then give them that credit card that was used for the hundred dollar deposit or the brother the credit card number and then and only then will they be able to issue a return of your deposit because they don't store your credit card number to just put it back on when you check out but this isn't disclosed to you so therefore the process for returning someone's hundred dollar deposit in particular someone who should be being rewarded not punished for leaving the room in a condition in which they are eligible for that deposit to be returned is in no way efficient disclosed to me as a guest so that I can do what I need to do to get that ball rolling to get that money back if it's a deposit and there's a process like that that's required in order for them to return that deposit to you it should be disclosed during the check-in process I should be informed and then able to make that choice myself when I check out and if I forget to do that when I check out then it's on me because it was disclosed at the front desk instead I feel like I'm getting the shaft and like I'm actually being stolen from because in order for me to get that deposit back I have to go way out of my way to call give my credit card number to all these things that had this just been disclosed to me in the beginning of the check in process I would've known that this was how it works and I would've stopped at checkout and done that this is bad business and is not good business practice this policy needs to be adjusted and accommodate disclosure immediately any other person that comes through here my goodness people out here are struggling that $100 could make or break somebody's whole months worth of food and they didn't even know they had to ask for it read more

Rooms appeared clean upon inspection. I still never use the comforter in any motel I stay. Excellent wifi signal and a good range of channels that include HBO and new LCD televisions. Not the greatest view considering it's a truck stop- kinda area in Dalles, OR. The rates are what brought me here. The check in went quick and pleasant. Give this place a shot. I reserved a room a week ahead of time because I knew I'd be arriving at 2:00 am and would only get 5 or 6 hours of sleep before my next work day. I wanted to make sure I could get to bed quickly. When I arrived at the Motel 6 office the clerk was not able to get his computer to log into their system. He said he couldn't connect to the "hotel key". I stood in the office for 45 minutes while he rebooted his system, called his supervisor and rebooted the computer over and over. At 2:45 I told the clerk that I needed to get some sleep. So, he got my credit card info and I signed a form. He said we would take care of the rest in the morning, once he got the system connected again. I finally crawled into bed at 3:00 and slept until 4:30 am, when the phone started ringing. It was the clerk and he said he'd gotten the computer connected and I needed to come down and finish the payment process. He apologized and said the manager approved a discount. I pulled myself out of bed and stumbled down to the office. The discount turned out to be $2. That is just an insult. Then when he ran my cards, both were rejected (my cards are fine). I had him run the cards repeatedly and of course eventually it worked. I don't expect a lot from a Motel 6 but I do expect that they will leave me alone long enough to sleep. If there computer system is down it should not be the customer that pays the price. I spoke to the manager the next day to find out if this was a problem with the employee, the management or company policy. She said her hand were tied and that this is company policy. Very disappointed in the overall service of this hotel. I booked this hotel long before arrival. When I got here (9:50pm) I was given a room to check into. I wasn't looking for anything fancy just fast and clean for the night. My mother and I headed up to our room and when we opened the door the room had not been cleaned. We thought it may still be occupied considering the state of the room so we backed out. I walked back down the stairs (there is no elevator) to talk to the front desk. The desk women apologized for the inconvenience, but offered no discount or coupon. This was the last room they had so my mom.and I had to wait till the cleaning lady came to clean the room. She was at home and was called in to clean the room. She did a fast clean up and replaced all the linens. By the time she was done it was 10:30pm. read more

Two years ago stayed here, commented on issues when asked for survey. Prompt response! All issues remedied. Redesigning all property, very nice for economy lodging. ..it is a Motel 6. However, the staff's customer service, efficiency & helpfulness far exceeds that of hotels in moderate to high costs, such as Ramada Inns, Holiday Inns, Regency, etc... Does someone occasionally have a rough day? I suppose...haven't seen it yet here. These people, and their owner, care about your experience and will work hard and honorably to improve your experience. All for basic Motel 6 pricing. Love this place! Stayed here a week while our house was being remodeled. The room was very clean and had everything I could need for a week stay. The towels were stocked up and the bathroom was spotless. There was a fairly large TV in our room which was a plus. A small mini fridge allowed us to store some drinks and snacks. This was also very pet friendly as we had our dogs with us and the house keepers were kind enough to play with them when we passed by the halls. This hotel was extremely affordable but made you feel as if you were in a higher end establishment. I recommend this hotel if you're needing a place to stay as they cater to locals, and as well if you're passing through on a trip. It runs smoothly and efficiently with someone always at the front desk and at your service. Great management. read more

After checking the Motel 6 main website and seeing $62 for a 2 bed bedroom, we were a bit taken back by a differing price on site (we were told that was the discounted AARP price; although the website didn't state that). Staff was pleasant & the hotel room smelled clean. There is a microwave and frig in the room, but no other amenities (ie, no shampoo, no coffee pot or small packet of coffee, & no hair dryer.) I don't know if this is standard for all motel 6's, but I can't recall staying anywhere that shampoo wasn't in the bathroom. The location has been recently updated (I would assume within the past 3 to 5 years) but there were many finishing touches not done well - new paint in the room /flooring, but the bottom of the bathroom door was battered and peeling on both sides and the molding around the door stopped 1 to 1.5 inches before the floor leaving a large gap. It's a comfortable bed. But for the price, I expected a bit more. read more

I liked this location because it was between two places we wanted to go. There was a small outdoor pool with plexiglass walls around the pool. It was very inviting. If I had brought a bathing suit, I would have gone in. This is also one of the newer Motel 6 buildings. All of the rooms are inside. The vending and ice machines are inside. If you have little children, it makes you feel more protected than the typical older Motel 6 buildings. This is a location I'd have no problem reserving a room for again. read more

Second stay here in two years. Stay here for wildflower blooms I have no problem with the staff, location or cleanliness of rooms. Accommodations like fridge, tv, microwave, wifi are all decent and price is right. Parking and door access All good. What they recently did this year was do away with the Do Not Disturb signs. Apparently they had enough trouble with some who stayed for days and trashed the rooms and left a real mess. Thats what i was told when I checked in ut now I see aftre the Las Vegas mass shooting where the gunman stockpiled weapons in his room, many chains are changing to this policy. I get that. Either way I get that and have changed my review but you need to be aware. I want to leave stuff in my room and not have anyone in there. I don't want new towels or my bed made of new ice bucket bag, or my room temperature mucked with, etc every day. I don't need it . If I want it give me the option. But if i am on the throne I dont want to have to worry about housekeeping walking in on me or getting dressed etc. This is annoying. Some hotel have occupied signs i am not sure what the solution is but i better not get walked in on in an inopportune time or if i am staying up late to work, and want to sleep, don't wake me up. Maybe the front desk keeps a list of rooms and when they can be disturbed? In addition, residents of the local counties are not allowed to pay cash so buyer be ware. I was told this is to curb the huge drug problem and local dealers using cash. Does it help? I dunno. What I see as clientele here are hard working blue collar types. If you want to stay in a white collar hotel this is not it, but I have no problems with this hotel and value in the rooms I have had. Easy on off freeway and lots of food choices around. When we got there they gave us a smoking room apparently - nasty smell, ash trays all over the place, smoke detector wrapped in plastic. Went back to the office, but they said it was the last room. Nothing else available. By that time it was too late to go looking for other hotels though, plus they had already charged my card. The front desk guy called a manager to ask for advice, but did not offer a refund or a discount. Slept with the window open, heater on, bathroom fan on, and still did not air out the room by morning. It is a motel 6 so it doesn't offer much more than a bed, tv, and bath. Clean but small. Pretty firm mattress. Was not crowded and that helped. No shampoo or conditioner. This is probably one of the older Motel 6's that you will ever find. Coffee in at the check-in desk is the only amenity I saw. Outdoor pool was closed for the season. Stayed here earlier this week, but got very sick from the chemicals in the bedding. It was quite strong. Thankfully, I had extra bedding in the car, and got that out, but it led to quite the migraine. The staff were competent and polite. The room was decent...but I just can't get past how intense the chemical smell was in the bedding. That's not normal. read more

Clean, Quite, Friendly staff, the only motel 6 I ever stayed at where the front desk called my room to see if I needed anything!! They even saved the room I requested as opposed to just any room. If all Motel 6's we're like this one, I would always stay at them, however we all know that's not the case, as some Motel 6's suck. Pet friendly with a big field behind it for the dogs to romp. No in-room coffee as with all Motel 6's but as far as cheap Motels go this place is Great. For a lower end hotel this place gets 4 stars. Free WiFi, Very clean rooms, great staff, Mini Fridge ,microwave and a comfy bed what more could you want for 50 bucks!!!! The staff at the Klamath Falls and Medford Motel 6's should be sent here for training because those places suck!!! read more

The rooms were very clean. However, this is our second time staying here, (the only reason there is a second time is because my husband is here for work, it's pet "friendly", and the only place we could find a weekly rate)... The outdoor area is covered in dog crap everywhere you step, my dog isn't even comfortable setting foot in the little grassy areas. I was also treated very rudely by the manager in regards to my dog, and felt like my every move was watched because I have a dog. I followed the pet policy to a T. And then witnessed people leaving their dogs in the hotel rooms by themselves yelping and barking the whole while, and then myself being treated the way I was, had us looking everywhere else before we had to come back here. Also, when I used to be a housekeeper, I was told first day on the job that if you go into someone's room you are NOT to touch any belongings. My dog and I left one afternoon so they could clean the room, per pet policy, before I left I picked up all of our clothes and bags and put them on the bed. I returned to all of my stuff hiding in a corner, and felt very uncomfortable about the whole situation. read more

I mistakenly booked this hotel assuming it was in Goldendale (40 minutes away which would be backtracking) and was tired from our 18 hour drive and needed to rest. I called the hotel just to see if they would cancel as a courtesy and not charge me as many have done. My issue isn't that they wouldn't refund, but the rudeness of Mariah - the clerk. She was extremely rude, would not give her last name and hung up on me. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. They were a little overpriced tho, the room for (2) Queen beds was $76.00 after tax, and they had no jacuzzi. The Hooker at the back door was a bonus tho, she was VERY Friendly to the truck drivers staying there. Room was clean, but as stated above a bit overpriced.
