I would like to give this business a negative. The desk clerk, whoever she is, (on duty at noon on March 17, 2025) is truly from the dregs of society. I, in a wheel chair, & with reservations with early check in, was exceedingly rude. She is definitely costing that company money. I'm 85 years old, in a wheelchair, and was treated like sh*t. This motel is way past its prime. I don't recommend. The bed near the window was so hard and lumpy! I switched to the other bed after a couple of hours so thank goodness that there was another bed that was a little better. The window was broken. The walls in the bathroom and bedroom had mystery stains on the walls. The refrigerator was not very cold. Worst coffee that I have ever tasted! So strong and undrinkable!!! We have stayed here several times before traveling between Nevada and Oklahoma. It is nice to stay here on the way out because it is away from Albuquerque enough to beat rush-hour traffic in the morning. It's basically a safe place to stay. On this trip we were not too pleased. First of all when when we arrived in our room the temperature was 48°. Inside our room! The air conditioner had been removed so many times and repaired that there was no insulation at all on the wall. Wind was blowing through our room. We did use the heater and things were fine after it finally warmed up. Our bed was stained in several spots, one at the end of the bed was definitely blood. We could only use cold water in our sink. They hung a mirror above it that would not allow the hot to turn on. See my photo. The bathtub was also very dirty inside. Parts of the hardware in the shower had what felt like barnacles all over it. Our room did not have a microwave or a refrigerator but did have the cart for them. I'm generally not picky and just want comfortable bed and a safe place to sleep. I felt safe here, but my bed was like sleeping on a stack of bricks. Extremely uncomfortable my husband and I both woke up sore the following day. read more

Would give negative 10 stars if i could. Was told that you can't smoke cigarettes in the room but weed is ok? Room had a bed,chair and TV.tv didn't work but was told we rented a room not a tv. Loud stomping in the stairs and second floor.shower head sprays out of the joint and sprays everywhere. Blood spots on the wall,bed sheets are stained and when I unrolled a towel there was actual hairs that fell out of it! The final straw was we woke up to ants in our bed. We waited for management to arrive to make a complaint and the manager "annie" was extremely rude and offered a 30% discount (20$) only on the condition that I didn't leave a bad review and made me put it in writing that I accepted a 30% . Review is still posted and I will be contacting corporate. Definitely better places to stay! Have pictures of all complaints to send to corporate. read more

We paid 67+ $ for a room trying to budget our money as we move to Kentucky. Well, you get what you pay for. This is the most disgusting place I have ever (almost) stayed. We went to our room , so tired from the long drive from CA. As soon as we opened the door, the stench of bleach and other cleaners hi us HARD. What are they covering up?? Room was hot. Went to turn on AC, did not work, TV did not work! Now, I must go back 10 mins. and tell you, the girl at the front desk told us at the onset, "if something in the room does not work, let me know, and I will try to fix it, or set you up in another room." Well, thank you for that, appreciate it. Like I mentioned above, those did not work. So hubby called down, she came up, tried to fix. We were already put off by the whole thing. We mentioned the flies, she heard us discussing our options. She tried to put us in another room, we decided to leave. She would NOT REFUND the monies we paid!!! WTF??? Well, we said we would rather just be out of money than stay in this stench hole. We ended up at Best Western. What a big difference!! First of all as soon as we walked in i found hair all over restroom like it was an attempt to clean but only swirled the dirt and Hair. 2nd of all the shower head itself had built up mud looking all around it. 3rd Was The biggest Grossest thing Ive ever seen, where peace should come Naturally to rest your head but unfortunately we were given Dirty pillows!! Highly disappointed in this motel 6! This review will be short and to the point. This place was one of the worst motels I've ever stayed in. They no longer have shampoo, conditioner or body wash. It is dirty! No refrigerator or microwave, which was advertised. The staff was unable to give me and my girlfriend the room we requested. After talking with corporate they were making excuses for why they couldn't accommodate me. We are getting an AirBnB for the remainder of our stay. Check in at 3 am and even though I've been staying in motel 6 across the country and have not had a problem with receiving a late check out (1pm instead of 11 am) the lady at the front told me right off the bat that i could not have a late check out because of house keeping. I explained to her I've not had a problem the past few nights at other motel 6 and she didn't care... told me I could go drive around and look for another place to see what I could find. Being exhausted from driving I checked in anyway. Went to shower and no hot water... called the front desk and was told "no one else has mentioned anything". Rates too high for the rooms, customer service lacking and there was even a picture that had obviously been stolen from our room. Dump. This semi-dump used to be a Days Inn, so that's why it has no resemblence to any normal Motel 6. Yeah you can survive here for a night or two, but they have a bizzarre way of setting up the smoking and non-smoking rooms. Right across the hall from the non-smoking rooms is ..you guessed it- the smoking rooms. So that translates into smoke wafing across the hall into the other rooms. This place is a bit overpriced for this little town. Why do I pay $50 here and $29 in Las Vegas right next to the strip? It's days Inn prices at the motel 6. Steer clear of the coffee machine, but the free Wifi (i'm guessing they just included the wifi in the hotel room fee) is fast. Some employees look questionable too, so keep that door locked and loaded. read more

After using the bathroom, I couldn't find soap. I went to the front desk. They are out of soap. NO SOAP!? Opened the curtain to see the 1st floor view: a dirty towel and crushed lamp shade. I have rented 4 rooms for me & my family here. No shampoo, conditioner, lotion, tissues. Advertises fridge but not all the rooms have one. Towels are stained, see through, small and rough. Beds are uncomfortable. Tried to charge me a pet deposit and discriminated on which room I could have because of the service dog. (Both illegal). Faucet drips. Shower knob coming off the wall completely. Towel rack falling apart. Floors feel sticky. Coffee is the worst ive ever had. I tried to open the window curtain and it fell off the rack. They couldn't find my reservation and would not honor the online price. I asked to speak with a manager and she said he was at a party and wouldn't be in the next day either. I called motel 6 corporate, they did nothing. The front desk girl said she has no ability to do anything either. This hotel is $45-$55/night & not worth it. I will never stay at a hotel 6 again. read more

snow flurries on I-40 going West from Amarillo, TX turned into a freak snow storm, http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/45501/snowstorm-to-disrupt-travel-al.asp , and using my the ATT navigator iPhone4 App found this place while in the 40mph white-out conditions after calling about four en-route. it was the best deal for 42 bucks for one night for one person with WiFi, two beds, large tub/shower, cable, fresh bedding and clean, new towels located just off I-40. This was a great Motel 6 with a decent rate. The room was a big larger than most Motel 6 rooms and had a full bath shower instead of the typical corner shower that is cramped and tight. Disgusting location. No hotels for a few miles so this was a last minute choice when needing to sleep on a long drive. They allow smoking in certain rooms which makes every room smell like smoke. I am highly allergic and had to sleep with my head under the sheets in order to breathe properly all night. Still barely slept because of it. Paid to lay in bed in pain due to allergies. I stayed at a Motel 6 the night before in St. Robert, MO and was very impressed. When I got to NM, I figured how could I go wrong? The staff were super friendly and the desk is open 24 hours. That's were my 2 stars come from. The hallway floors seemed like they were going to give out at any moment and I'm a pretty lightweight adult. The room was alright at best. Something seemed a bit off, I just didn't feel comfortable there. Beds weren't comfortable (I had 2 to choose from). The tiles in the bathroom were all broken/cracked. The toilet sat at an angle. The sink was outside the bathroom door. If it weren't for my previous night's stay, I wouldn't have ventured in. With so many options, choose a different place. Glad I was only there for 8 or 9 hours total. Staff-you guys are still great. The whole building just needs a renovation or a wrecking ball. read more

I'm staying here as I write this, on my second of two nights. Where to start? No micro or fridge. Tub backs up very quickly. Toilet runs nonstop but rarely flushes. I've had the stomach flu the last couple days, so that makes for an interesting situation in the bathroom. This morning I heard a scream and a woman yelling, "I'll kill you, b***h." Then more screaming and yelling. I picked up the phone to call 911, and the phone is broken! Luckily, someone else called, and the police and sheriff responded. We had just gone on an 8 hour train ride in Chama; then we decided to get a head start on our drive to Cloudcroft. We called to reserve with the "lady" at the front desk. When we got there the place was trashed, and that was just outside.They put us in a smoking room, it smelled like a wet ashtray and looked just as bad. When we asked for a refund, said female said she didn't know how to print a refund and my mother In law had to show her how to print. Most rude and obnoxious manager one has ever met. While enroute to the Motel 6 on Moriarty, NM, My wife made a reservation from the national reservation phone number at the rate of $49.95 PLUS TAX. When we tried to check in, the manager told us told us the rate was 52.95 plus tax. When we questioned why the rate was higher than the reservation, the manager got very indignant and rude, stating it didn't matter what the reservation system rate was, her rate was 52.95 and she couldn't change it. When we tried to question this some more, she told us to leave the motel. Taken aback we tried to ask more questions but she ignored us and actually called the local police to have us removed from the property. When the police arrive, she actually lied to them as well about how we handled the situation. In all my years of traveling, I have never met a more rude manager. She also would not give us her name or the name of her supervisor, only stating her supervisor was watching on the security camera. There is no way that this person with that sort of attitude should ever be working in the hospitality industry. I have never had a hotel not honor the reservation rate, nor have I ever had a manager be so rude and indignant, refuse to answer questions and call the police. This behavior is outrageous and a black eye for the motel 6 hotel chain. We used to stay at motel 6's when we travel, I will probably select other hotels. I have stayed there once a year for 7 years this was the very worst stay out of anywhere. The place smelt terrible. the handicap rooms bathroom door hit the stool. There was no table the 1 chair was torn. I tried to lay down and the other patrons were so loud there was no chance to rest. While all the noise was going on the desk clerk was outside smoking. It's not as terrible as some are making out - free wifi and the front desk staff are very nice - as long as you use it for the only possible reason it should be used - to crash when you're too tired to drive any further. Check in, go to sleep immediately. It has all the charm and ambiance of a college dorm room from the 70s, which is the era the TVs are from. There was no shampoo. A couple of the light switches didn't work. If you have to stay in the area for more than one night, stay somewhere else. For one night, it's fine. read more

All I wanted was any cheap place to stop for the night on our disastrous journey from Oklahoma City to San Jose. For what we paid I was expecting a dumpy and dirty room. I was too exhausted to notice much that night, but when we got up and left in the morning, I notice that it was actually quite a nice hotel; the sort that one would pay quite a bit of money for if it were in an urban area. But perhaps I should have expected it to be a nice place after being surprised by the standards of Motel 6 in the past. They left the light on for us. read more
