I'm 63 years old, and have stayed at a lot of Motel 6's my whole life, mainly because of their pet policy. Let me tell you I have never been disrespected by a manager like this in my entire life. I have 5 dogs, 2 adults and 3 puppies. I told them upfront how many dogs I had and was willing to pay extra. They gave me 2 adjoining rooms, but they were on the 2nd floor, and a very long walk to get to the rooms. The mom of the puppies is pretty much a puppy herself and she was 8months old when I got her and she a Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd . She is not well socialized and a bit high strung. This was our first long trip and she is very smart, and is getting it. My German Shepherd is 5 years old and he is extremely well socialized, and I don't even need to put a leash on him. After our first night we were getting ready to go out for the day and I had taken them to the dog area to do their business before we went out. As they were taking care of business, one of the employees approached me and asked if she could take pictures of my pack. No one picks up after their dogs there so I decided to pick up some extra poop since there was so much. Being distracted by the employee and as I was picking up poop, 2 of the puppies went exploring. I went to get them and it became a bit chaotic, so I put the others in the car and went to retrieve the wayward puppies. An obese woman with no teeth came out and was extremely rude, and lecturing me on leashes and I said sorry, explained how I was distracted and was respectful to her. We go out for the day and I did not get back to my room until around 11 pm. All doggos went into the room with no incident and the puppies slept with me so they would stay out of trouble. I keep them on the bed with me because there was a complaint from the night before about them running on the floor and we had a good quiet night. I needed to stay one more day so I call the front desk and they said no. I asked them why and they said they were took loud. I told them they were in my bed with me all night and lot loud at all. I didn't argue and started packing up, and cleaning up their messes. I put them in the car first, and had a few loads of stuff to carry to the car. I put some cloth's in some bags so I could just drop them at my car from the 2nd floor, there was no one else around and it saved me 2 trips up and down the stairs. I'm getting the last load out and this dude who guess was the manager that day starts screaming about me dropping 2 bags of clothes next to my car. He starts going off on a tangent, threatening to call the cops and have me trespassed, for dropping the bags near my car. I was ready to go, had made sure there were no surprises for the house maid and this guy was unhinged. I tried to ignore him and get the hell out of there, but he would not let up. I lost my patience and told him he needs to calm down and back off or I was gonna beat his ass so he better check himself. I was respectful to all the staff until he started to threaten me with the cops. He kept on about the bags with nothing but cloths in them for some reason. That place is a shit hole with sketchey people riding bikes around the parking lot selling meth or who knows what. No fridge, no microwave and the dog area was full of dogshit. My guess is the entire staff have been doing too much meth and need to chill out. My advice is to avoid that place like the plague. I admitted my dogs got slightly out of hand and I apologised many times, but that only seemed to make them think they could abuse me. They were wrong. Some people just can't handle having some authority, or was it the meth speaking?...Worst motel/hotel experience I have ever had. Don't go there and I'm contacting corporate to let them know they have meth heads running their hotel.. read more

first off when we got there it took two hours to get us ina room, then we pre-booked and STILL was waiting, then when Me and my family FINALLY got ina room i went in the shower the floors in the shower where absolutely DISGUSTING, like im talking borderline black, I wore socks in the shower because it was so nasty. these people have no respect in there company or for there clients!!!! then when i got out of the shower i grabbed a towel off the rack looked clean on the rack and i opened it and there was stains on the inside of the towel and a big clump of hair, gross asf. Came to town around 9 pm from out of state. Ran across Motel 6 thinking it would be inexpensive. $218 later (one night) we went to our room that had one bed with a thin sheet and no comforter. The bathroom was almost bigger than the room with the bed. It was clean, but no coffee pot, no refrigerator, no hair dryer. Definitely not worth the money we paid. read more

What can I say? It's Motel 6. After a long ride fraught with calamity we came upon this Motel 6. As tired as we were we did not want to start the motel search once we hit town. It was a Friday so I figured the rates would be higher than mid-week. That's standard. What I didn't expect was the clerk to quote $120 for a one person room. I said I could probably book cheaper online and instead of saying he would match whatever I found he just said I had to go back outside to do it. He actually said I had to leave the lobby. Ok whatever. I go out and use booking.com and book 4 rooms right there at that Motel 6. Cheaper by about $25 each. I go back in and get the rate I booked for the very same room. That's so stupid in my opinion. On to the room quality. Of course I booked a non smoking room. I didn't even know motels/hotels even had smoking rooms anymore. My non smoking room must have been next to the smoking section of rooms because the place smelled like stale cigarettes to the max. I smelled smoke outside on my way in then inside the bathroom especially. Then later I smelled it on the bed linens. By then it was way too late to switch and I was fading out anyway. Why do people even smoke anyway? It's a disgusting habit and will eventually kill a person. The room was clean at least but the shower stall in the bathroom looked like something out of a 1970's Woody Allen movie about the future. Yes you know the one. I think it would have been more at home on a train or in a motor home. It was barely big enough to turn around and wash. The shower head was not moveable and that made it difficult at best. Add the fact that I'm over 6 feet and 230 lbs and it was almost comical. There were also quite a few shady people loitering on the fringes of the property. There were a few rooms on the backside that appeared as if people actually lived there full time. I hoped I would not be assigned to the back side of the building with all the creepers. Needless to say I removed everything off my motorcycle and locked the steering lock. Criminal activity was rampant in the lot. I noticed a couple hand-to-hand transactions and the same car and driver stationed in the lot when I went to and came back from a late dinner. The boys in blue would do well there but I'm sure there's other mayhem in that town that occupies their time. Klamath Falls as a whole is not the best as it is. It's two stars and not one because I was tired and they had a room for me. Otherwise one star it would be. I've stayed at other Motel 6's that were far superior in other cities. Next time I go through Klamath Falls I will stay elsewhere. read more

If I could give it 1/2 star, I would. I purchased my one night via Expedia, i.e. non-refundable, an hour before I arrived. Once I was in the room, I turned around and left. People were partying in the parking lot. The young man behind the counter did nothing to move them along. He was clearly intimidated by the crowd. There was no parking on the side of the motel that my room was on. The room was worn out, no coffee maker, and lots of noise outside and in the adjoining rooms. I left my key cards on the table and departed, more than willing to forego the money I'd paid. As a woman traveling alone, the onus for feeling safe is on me. Returning from a fishing trip in Bend, my buddy booked a night here. Most all other lodging was booked. We arrived around 6pm and on check-in the young man was pleasant. He did insist on our car license number and asked for and took each of our IDs to record as well. That seemed a little sketchy until we looked at some of the characters hanging around the parking lot, maybe long termers. They gave us keys to a room which our noses immediately identified as a smoking room, the ashtray on the counter confirming it. On request we moved to a non-smoking room which was fine, but our experience went south from there. Returning from dinner it was dark and all the parking spots appeared occupied. We did find an empty one and pulled into it and went up to the room. Moments later the room phone rang and a woman identified herself as the "manager." She told me to move my car because we had parked in her space. I told her that the parking appeared full and asked where else we could park. She told me: "I don't care. You're in my spot and if you don't move it, you'll need to pack up and leave." A bit miffed at this "unusual" brand of customer care, I told her that I had an Achilles injury and would rather not so she demanded that we pack up and leave. I caved in, hobbled down the stairs, moved my car and happened to find a space that had cleared. Once re-parked, I walked back to look at "her" parking space to see if there was any notice about not parking there. There was nothing but an old and faded "Reserved" on the spot's asphalt that neither of us had seen prior, which could easily have meant "Reserved" for Motel 6 guests, but I digress. As I was walking away from her spot, a car pulled in and out of it comes a heavy set blond woman, who had clearly seen better days. She waddled quickly into a room that was directly in front of her space. I hobbled back up to our room and the phone rang again. This time my buddy picked up and it was the "manager" again who I could overhear yelling at him as he was calm as a cucumber. She told him that I was peeping through her room window (absolutely untrue) and that we must pack up and leave and if we didn't she would call the cops to kick us out. He told her to go ahead. (Trust me, any cop who would come by and take one look at her would realize her peeper tale was nothing more than a whopper of wishful thinking). She then got even more angry and threatened him saying that she would see to it that he never could stay in a Motel 6 ever again. No cop ever showed up. This location is probably desperate for night managers, but this woman should go find a tent somewhere. She clearly has no business being in customer service. If ever in Klamath Falls, again, will look elsewhere. read more

The eclipse coming up reminded me of Motel 6 in Klamath Falls. We had reservations there (I've still got the confirmation) but when we got there they were full and refused to honor the reservations. To be precise, they were so disorganized that they couldn't find their information! So, we wound up paying over $400, lucky to get a room at all at another motel. I thought this was a good place because they let you have your pet(whether is was a dog or cat) I rented for 2 days then went back to rent another 2 days! My son was trying to stay one nore night. As he was trying to get enough money the manaher said no and that they are denying to rent to my son anymore ! He has a high risk pregnant fiancee that should not be on the streets! Worst motel to stay at. First when we got there, there was already a cop at one of the rooms. There were bugs in our room, but the hotel was sold out, so we couldn't be moved. In the morning, when we went to get ice out of the machine, there was a homeless guy sleeping in the lobby with his little dog that would bark at you when you tried to go inside. The smoke detector started beeping in our room and the front desk guy said we'd have to wait till morning when maintenance gets there. I told him to get a battery out of another room and I could just change it myself. After all these issues, they wouldn't give us a credit. STAY AWAY!! read more

First, the price for our room was about $10 less than a few others in the area, DON'T FALL FOR IT!! There is absolutely nothing in the rooms. No fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker, no blow dryer, no shampoo or conditioner. What there was was filth. Mildew in the shower and leftover food from who knows when. Also, no free breakfast. So the money saved in a cheaper room, you'll spend on breakfast. Then to top if off, they have the audacity to charge $2.99 for WiFi!!! My husband and I travel a lot on our bikes. Disappointing!! I like to stay in Motel 6 because the rates are reasonable (usually under $100) and the rooms are clean and spare. Motel 6 in Missoula Montana is one of my favorites. BUT - my stay in Klamath Falls, Oregon (July 8, 2023) fell quite short of the 4-5 stars I usually rate my stays. I booked at the last minute and I arrived after dark. When I opened the room door, the AC was on, which was nice. When I turned on the lights, the first thing I noted was that there was no bedding on the bed. It was wadded into a corner of the room. I called the nighttime front desk clerk and only got an apology. I had a sleeping bag and my own pillow so I brought them up. I went to take a shower and noted that there was no floor mat, wash rags, hand towels, soap or shampoo. There was only one body towel. The shower was hard to manuever in, but the water was hot. When I was done with my shower and walked back in to the main room, I realized something had been spilled by the bed (I stepped in it). I used the towel I dried with to clean the floor. It was absolutely filthy!! It was late and I was tired, so I didn't pursue the matter that night. In the morning, when I checked out, I spoke with both the daytime front desk staff and the cleaning staff and they all insisted that the state of the room was not their fault, that it had been clean when they got off shift the day prior. They blamed the night time front desk staff, something to the effect of a last minute room change prior to my arrival, but the night staffperson didn't take my dirty room off the list of available CLEAN rooms. The day staffperson asked for my contact information and assured me that the manager, Sabrina, would be notified and that I would be contacted as soon as she came in. It has been more than a week and I have not heard from Sabrina, or Motel 6. MOTEL 6, I HOPE YOU STEP UP AND MAKE THIS RIGHT. read more

It was for one night (May 15) single., I departed from Sacramento at 8 am and arrived in Klamath Falls at 310/. I showed the receptionist the email. She was obnoxious in this manner: Show me your ID. Take it out of your wallet. Was is your vehicle license plate number. You need to produce a credit card. (It took her three tried to get the visa to work) (I have never had to answer these kinds of questions at any previous visit so I asked why are you asking. I was told DO you want me to cancel this reservation. I obtained my receipt and informewd her that she needed more training and because of her attitude I would NEVER stay at another Motel 6 and would pay twice as much anywhere else. There was a party in the room down the hall, where the idea of staying the night in a Motel 6 instead of sleeping on the side of the road in their truck was their idea of living large. Door open with music playing, drinking a case of Milwaukee's Best. Let the good times roll. The room was what you'd expect from a Motel 6. Cheap, not dirty, but you won't catch me licking anything in the room either. Klamath Falls itself is a dump and there's nothing to do in "town", such as it is. There is no nice way to say this. This place is a sh*t hole. Once again, Motel 6 positively refused to honor a reservation for a non smoking room. They cannot be bothered to let you know hours ahead of time so that you can make other arrangements - oh, no. You find out when you arrive at 1 am, tired, cranky, and with no other options. Next time, I will sleep in my car. This is one of the old, run-down motels from horror movies. It smells. It has scary people who actually LIVE there (I was honored to get the room next to the resident, who leaves his door open and TV blaring all night.) It has old, broken furniture - I ended up tearing the bed apart so that I could put it back together correctly. My laptop literally has a bigger screen than the billion-year-old TV in the room. The "cable" came in as good as rabbit ears and tinfoil will get you. The remote worked, so there is that. In the morning, the toilet exploded. I will say that the front desk was friendly as they can be while they're denying you the room you reserved they day before. They gave me a plunger but then also sent the maintenance guy, who ultimately got the toilet working again. It's pet friendly. If you don't mind smelling like old dog and older tavern, the rest is pretty typical. read more

Pulled in around midnight after coming through the snowy passes, totally beat. The lady at the reception was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was a little nervous checking in so late, but she really made me feel safe and welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and just what I needed after 20 hours on the road. Having been a reserve deputy with the Klamath County Sheriff's Office, I know all about the reputation of this establishment as I've answered plenty of calls for service here. And even though I am fully aware of the goings-on, I chose to stay here twice because they have the best price in town and the times I needed to stay in Klamath it was what I could afford. The first time there was a pretty strong party going on a few doors down from my room, though thankfully I was able to get to sleep and managed to stay asleep throughout the "event." The second time there wasn't any party or excessive noise, but I did manage to get a room with an incredibly uncomfortable bed, as I could feel every single spring in the mattress. It was like sleeping on an Eggo waffle made of steel. I also tried watching a movie, but I couldn't enjoy it because A) the TV was way too small, and B) there was no way to turn off the bright green, lower-left notification of what channel was tuned in. I'm not talking about the lower-right watermark you find on most channels, I'm talking about the notification generated by the television; absolutely obnoxious. Sure, the price is good, but you definitely get what you pay for. Next time I need to visit Klamath I'll be saving a few more bucks ahead of time so I can stay elsewhere. read more

We reserved a non-smoking room, and the room is so smelly and smoky. Front desk refused our request of swapping room, and kept saying "We are not guarantee anything, including non-smoking room. There is nothing I can do about it!!!" We asked to talk to the manager. Funny enough, she couldn't find manager's phone number or business card, and simply told us "No manager on site or on call". We had staying with Motel 6 for many times as we like to travel with our pet. However, this unfriendly ad unhelpful attitude will not bring me back to this hotel. The room was clean and looks like it had been recently renovated. It was an excellent cheap room for the night.

So we arrived only to be told that half our reservations were cancelled because they couldn't verify by phone that we had meant to book two rooms. And the hotel was sold out other than our one lonely room. So this review is not about the hotel, but is about its manager and the customer service. He was great. He apologized profusely, explained the error, apologized again, and gave us two certificates for a free room at any other Motel 6. He really did everything in his power to fix his honest mistake and really felt bad about it. read more

I was traveling to California with a friend of mine and we were all fir d up to drive straight through the 13 hours to get there! We were wrong. At 12:40am I checked into the hotel. Was told that even though they provide wifi, I have to pay for it separately. This is new to me as every hotel I've ever had has included wifi into their price. N obig deal, as the really nice guy gave me their $5 WiFi on the house. We got to our room, which was on the back side of the building and at the top floor. No elevator so be prepared! Our room was absolutely disgusting. I've never had a nastier room. Ever. I'm talking pee on the toilet seat (um, we're both girls), PUBIC HAIR on it as well and toothpaste still in the sink. There was a half drank bottle of water laying around so I'm assuming that the maid started to "clean our room" and then dipped out. Never came back to wipe down the counters or clean the dead bugs off the windowsill. Huge bummer cause I travel through here all the time. The checkout staff were adamant about me filling out a survey cause it "goes towards rewards for staff" or something. If you want a reward, maybe clean the room. If I have to literally disinfect everything with wipes when I come in, why should YOU get the reward? read more
