Look, I get it. I have stayed at some pretty bad motel 6s. And a lot of them have the reputation for being well less than reputable. Not the case with this one! I need a cheap room for the night, because I'm heading to Canada and didn't need a luxury hotel. Hotel just a bed. A lamp and a pillow. This was a very pleasant place to check into. The front desk lady was very nice, the whole check-in procedure took maybe 5 minutes. She got me the room I had requested, so I was good to go. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door, the room was neat and tidy and smelled fresh. A far cry from some of the other places I have stayed under this brand. The beds were freshly made, the restroom was clean, and everything was functioning. And that's really all I can ask. To be sure this is not a Hilton or a Radisson, this is your basic. I need a place to spend the night room. The place feels safe. It's by a bunch of restaurants, and there is just so much to love about this place! Bottom line? If I'm ever coming this way again and need a room for the night, this is going to be my go-to. If you're in the area, be sure to check it out. read more

We stayed here overnight while transfering a foster dog since pets always stay free. This hotel was clean and reasonably priced. Out room also had a mini refrigerator and microwave. A couple things could use some maintenance like the loose toilet seat, broken outlet cover and dripping facet but majority of room was well maintained. The dog area was smaller and some of the other guest were noisy early in the morning. Overall, the stay was still good. read more

For God's sake, I do not know why did I book this, probably because of reviews. This is horrible. Started with fast check-in and a very friendly person in the office. After that it all went down. Room doesn't have a bottle of water and there is no vending unit nearby. No ice maker either, only in the front office. Well, those are inconveniences but not the end of the world. TV is old and small, wires are hanging out. Also not the end of the world. TV handset was covered with geese, just nasty. AC is louder than my Macintosh amplifier, I couldn't sleep. Sorry, guys, I understand that you get what you paid for, however this is not the case here. I paid for a room, not for a splitting headache after not even 2 hours in the room. read more

I am surprised no one wrote review about this Motel 6. I don't usually rate Motel 6 because they are generally not memorable. I stay at Motel 6 most of the time basically because they allow dogs with no additional charge which is a huge plus for traveler who just stays few hours on the road trip. I lodged here at the end of June on my road trip from California to Colorado and took south route back. I had stayed at so many motel 6...from CA, OR. WA, UT, NV, NM, AZ... this is the BEST motel 6 EVER. this was the ONLY motel 6 that the room comes with fridge and microwave... The BEST part was...they let me check up at 2:30 pm which was really nice so I can get more rest. (the usually check out time on West coast is 11 and central is 12 noon) not to mention the staffs were super nice. They remembered your face and came out from the office to greet you when taking off... If you are happen to be in the area, lodge here instead closer to Grand Canyon. However, If you want to stay closer to Grand Canyon, the Motel 6 at Williams East was good too. read more

DO NOT STAY!! 1 star is only given because I half too leave a star. The power went out multiple times and then finally shut off from 10pm-1am. Our ac from the get go was spotty and horrible but when asked to move rooms were told there was none. Went in this morning to ask for a refund or discount due to the multiple inconveniences we got told we should have left the room at 2am with our 3 kids...um yeah cause that makes sense. The front desk lady was absolutely rude and her tone was ridiculous. Would never recommend staying here! Shower is absolutely ridiculous. Way to small to even shower. Pretty good stay for our one night stop... When we entered the room was a bit smelly though :/ I love that the rooms curtains keep it nice and dark!! My favorite. When checking in though the lady took forever to acknowledge me and I was trying to nurse my son... I was like I really don't want to just stand here waiting for you... but yeah fridge and microwave! Stayed here against my will - car broke down on the way to Albuquerque in Middle o'Nowhere, AZ! Scotty and Son Towing came and got me off the side of the road and helped me find this Motel 6 to stay at while I awaited my repairs. (Which they did, affordably.) This Motel 6 was cheaper than the one I had stayed at in Flagstaff and I liked it much better. Pet-friendly, but this one has a great little dog area. (NOT fenced in, but my dog who is usually a runner didn't wander off) I'd stay here again and would recommend if you're travelling through the area, but I suggest you avoid the Dennys next door :/ read more

Decent room, quiet, they made sure to space out the guests rooms so no one had neighbors which was nice, ac worked alright, and shower had good pressure. Just wear your shoes. Towels are like sand paper so bring your own. The shower is tiny so make sure the shower curtain is in the shower. Definitely a situation that you get what you pay for. My roommate, boyfriend, and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a subpar experience. First off, the room. Wow. Very small. The beds were both full sized beds; not even queen sized beds. The bathroom had no lock on the door and pushed open with ease-- not much of a latch. The ceiling was covered in brown spots and the shower was the smallest shower I have ever had the displeasure to bathe myself in. This closet of a shower could barely accommodate to my petite 5'4" 115lb frame; I can't even imagine how it was for my 6 ft 220lb roommate. Not only was it the smallest shower in all hotel experience, there was only a cloth shower curtain (no liner) so you were sure to soak the floor as you showered. Then to top off your awful shower experience, you are provided with the smallest towels possible for an adult human to dry themself off with. Award for smallest towels goes to Motel 6 Holbrook AZ! Now not only was the shower situation most unideal, I was fortunate to find a wad of hair in my "clean" linens in my bed. Also might I add that the cigarette burns in my thread-bare blanket was a nice homey touch to give me the most luxurious experience. We were frequently inconvenienced by our card keys not working in the door and having to request them to reactivate them within our short stay on more than one occasion as well. In short, I would describe our stay at Motel 6 in Holbrook AZ as unfavorable; not likely to come back. read more

I was traveling with my 34 pound dog Daisy, and Motel 6 offers a room for no extra fee for pets. This was truly a consideration when choosing this hotel. I only stayed one night. I was visiting The Petrified Forest National Park, and the next day, Meteor Crater, with a stop at the "Standing On The Corner Park" in Winslow AZ. I recommend all three. The motel was central to the three places. I was in #151. Things I liked: The room was clean. It had a vinyl floor which might just be for the "pet" carrying customers. It was OK, cheap (did I say cheap?), easy to access, and had a dog walk right across the parking lot from the room. It served me and Daisy well. It was cheap ( : I got the senior citizen discount and it priced out at less than $50.00 with tax - a bargain. Things I did not like: The shower is fine (no tub), except it's kind of small, and the shower-head is not adjustable enough to get it spraying on your body more and the shower curtain less. There must have been a giant in the room above us. The floor creaked loudly every time they moved across the floor, and they did that a lot until late. The AC worked well, was quiet enough, but did not hold the "set" temperature very well. I must have tried adjusting it 10-15 times. read more

Stayed here a few nights ago with five of my friends. We got two rooms VERY last minute and the staff was very helpful with accommodating us. Getting the rooms was quick and easy. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had mini fridges which were really useful!! The rooms also connected which was cool for my group. My only complaint is that there was a huge dead bug on the floor, and the shower head was not adjustable and the shower was small so the water kind of sprayed all over the bathroom. read more

I stayed here about 2 weeks ago. This was after Chris' review about the infection. First: I do not like Motel 6 but I am traveling on biz so need something economical. This is not a vacation. Second: Chris' exposure to an infection, if it happened in this motel & not elsewhere, was in the one single room. I presume that if that room needed care that Motel 6 has done it by now. This is Motel 6. No facial tissue. Water flows at a crawl. Small bed. Etc. This motel is privately owned & had microwaves & refrigerators which is rare for Motel 6. It was clean. It was safe. Some of the other Holbrook economical motels are suspect or have noisy trains near by. I had no problems. read more

Every Motel 6 should be run by people who care about their customers like this. Checked in with a friend who has a disability and travels with an animal. We did not call ahead, but checked in after coming out of the Petrified Forest at about 7:30 p.m. Not only did we get a ground floor no-smoking room as requested to accommodate my friend, but they made sure we got a room so we didn't even need to re-park the car! The sign outside posts the rate of $39.99 for one person and $44.99 for two. (Unlike other Motel 6's on our travels that added as much as $20 for a second person.) The outside signs promised a microwave and refrigerator, which our room had. (Unlike other Motel 6's that required you request one of the few rooms that had these amenities as an "extra".) The wifi is free. (Unlike a number of places that tack on a $2.99 per day "prepaid internet card") When we checked in there were families around the BBQ's in the court yard. So definitely a plus for families traveling during the summer. We were eating on the road, and were delighted to find out that the Denny's next door provides a discount to Motel 6 guests who show their room key when they order. The rooms were clean and moderately spacious. The TV was a large flat screen that was mounted on the wall, giving us the full desk space for our stuff. This Motel 6 was definitely a welcome oasis in the desert. read more

I needed to pull over and get some rest. The room was super clean. BASIC with no frills. No worries. I just needed to sleep! Clean. Friendly front desk staff. Comfortable, quiet room. Our dog is very happily sleeping on the floor - so I guess that means, he's comfy too. Better than the average Motel 6 - and we've seen quite a few across the country. One of the most unique amenities at this location is their dog run off to the side of the property. What a nice treat for our dog! Also, food nearby - including a really good hole in the wall Italian joint, and a Denny's next door. The only negative is that they could use some new towels. This place is a joke! After driving all night I decided to pull over at 4am to get a room. Was told I had to be out 7hours later at 11am. I was fine with that even after paying $55. Well as I'm laying in bed, 7:30 am comes along and I just couldn't take it anymore. Not being able to sleep because of a nonstop bass music bouncing off my walls I get up to wash up and head to the office to complain, not only was there dry blood on the floor AND walls in the bathroom, the bugs and roaches inside and outside my room. As I took pics and proceeded to the front desk... I started to speak to a Hispanic woman at the front desk who refused to give me her name only after I told her my situation and not ONCE DID she apologize or accommodate me to another room. This place is nasty and unsanitary! Sleep in your car and save yourself a waste of money and no sleep. read more

I recognize that Covid 19 has left hotels short handed but some people should not be given jobs if they have the personality of a prison matron. I arrived with my assistant, we were both exhausted from driving in a terrible rainstorm all day. I entered the lobby to check in while my assistant stepped away for a smoke. She smokes only rarely and never inside, not even in her own home, she smokes nowhere that could cause discomfort for others. The check in person never greeted me, she slammed a plate down on a desk and even though I said hello a second time she did not respond with a welcome greeting. I provided my reservation information and the usual DL and Credit card. She then said "I need to see both IDs". I was confused by that because I had already provided my reservation info and my two ID items. She said she needed to see my assistant's ID. What the heck was that all about? We provided it and then the clerk proceeded to harass me about my assistant's smoking because she had seen her smoking across the parking lot. I always get a non-smoking room and have never had this issue come up at any Motel 6. I expressed my dismay with her attitude and we went to the room. Clerk had already informed us no maintenance or housekeeping available after 5PM so when we saw condition of room we knew better than try to get her to help us. I am 75 and felt she had bullied me enough already. I've done nothing ever to be bullied like that. Bathroom: Blood clot on wall under sink, blood splatters elsewhere. Floor had obviously been mopped with filthy water. Large glob of unknown substance on wall, toilet seat so loose it pinched my thigh and left a bruise. Towels gray and stiff. Bed area: Microwave had wrong turntable plate installed so our food tilted off the plate spilling everywhere. What a horrid mess! It was not cheap food but we had to throw everything out. Exterior: Door to room had not been cleaned, possibly never! Same with room next door. Exterior lights did not come on until after it was completely dark. Avoid this place. There are plenty of other hotels in Holbrook. The worst thing about it was the prison matron running the front desk, sullen, rude, inhospitable. Maybe it is time to stop using Motel 6 altogether,even though I have stayed with Motel 6 for years as a budget conscious traveler. read more

So motel 6 is always hit and miss his was a miss a lot of them have really tried cleaning them up and updating the rooms this one had two beds first one we pulled back the sheets and the bed sheets were dirty and blood stained. Then the other one had a dead moth in it and the maid that made the bed short sheeted the bed at the end of the bed by about 8 inches so you feet would touch the mattress cover. I think they have a lazy maid and it's time to find one who wants to do their job. Other then that looks like they have new showers ,carpet , tvs and bed spreads.. The blankets are to be less then desired they are like old packing blankets very old and nasty. The reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the front desk seams very concerned and apologized They took care of us. So maids get 1 star and front desk I would say 4 for good customer service read more

My boyfriend and I called in our reservation for ourselves & dog about an hour prior to arrival, our room was readily available but there weren't any fitted sheets on the bed. The sheets used on both queen beds were sized for twin beds, so the mattresses and mattress pads were exposed... And dirty! Seemed as if they never made it to a wash after previous guest, or were dirtied and went unnoticed. It was late so we didn't complain, We slept in separate beds, diagonally, as to avoid the exposed parts of the bed. If you're tired, stop and stay- if you can afford to keep going, I would. read more

The pros: Cheap, convenient, lots of space to walk a dog, quiet. Cons: Our room wasn't very clean. There were grimy spots on the walls, long human hairs on the blanket and TV remote controls, cigarette burns on the blanket, and the towels were clean but dingy, as if they hadn't been bleached in ages. The room was hot and stuffy but the ventilation system only put out hot air. Fortunately the window opened so it was tolerable as long as we were awake. But obviously we closed and locked the window when we went to sleep and with 2 adults and 2 big dogs the room was too hot and stuffy all night. This place seems popular with folks going cross country on I 40 and it fills up at night. But even though there are lots of people they seem pretty committed to sleeping, not partying, so even though it got full the night was quiet. Around 6 AM though began a mass exodus of folks eager to get on the road again. I'm OK with that as I'm an early riser anyhow but if you want to sleep in it might be a problem. After a long 12 hour drive, my friend and I stopped here for the night....ballin on a budget.....We didn't have a few toiletries we needed for the night and because of Covid19, hotels have been limiting what they provide. I have to say they were so accommodating and went out of their way to help us out in need; and they had every right to just tell us no.
