Booked 2 rooms for a work trip. First impression was that it was old but they were trying to do improvements. Checked in, parked and immediately noticed glass throughout the parking lot. Got to the entrance to go to my room only to find a group of guys staying there hanging out drinking beer and whiskey right outside the door. This was a nightly occurance, at least for the 4 nights we were there Got to the room and found out my employees door wouldn't lock. The deadbolt wasn't lined up with the door frame. Next surprise were the cockroaches! Fast forward to 5 a.m. to be woken up by someone slamming their room door over and over again. When someone finally came out of their room and told them to stop they said they were doing it because someone broke into their car and they were angry. Pretty rough. I can where they've made efforts to modernize, but rough drywall and pait, cords draping every which way. Draperies hooked-unhooked-sagging. Not really nice. Received rollaway; rolled out in preparation for bed...it's damp...these things happen. I call front desk...manager accuses us of...who knows what. NOT helpful. Finally they say "I'll bring you some sheets"...huh? Budget Inn next door might have been a better choice? At least Budget Inn has a pool that's not been filled in with fill dirt. Plus side, yes, we're fair; the air conditioner is great...that counts for something when it's 100° outside...and a dirt pool. read more

This Motel 6 was very outdated compared to the one I had stayed at the night before in Montana. I came here specifically because I was traveling with a cat, and Motel 6 does not charge extra. This place was located close to a Chinese restaurant, Starbucks and convenience store which was nice. The parking lot is small and cramped. The man at the desk cleaned by credit card and ID with disinfectant, and they had drop-boxes for room keys. My overall impression was they were taking COVID seriously. Is a " pet friendly" location but the front desk lady hates dogs. I showed up and was incredibly stressed out, crying hysterically. I yelled at my fiance outside to get the dog away from the building because the front desk lady was becoming angry. Thats When she told me " no being loud and no fighting" . my room key wouldnt work. So i was assigned to another room instead. No wifi password but free wifi is advertised. I needed to use the phone to call the airport , when I was called by managment and told I needed to pay $25 for the " long distance" calls I made. When i asked WHY theres nothing in the room stating the extra charge, he continued to repeat himself as though he was answering my question- which he was actually deflecting. I've stayed at this location for a few months now and I'm moving on, but would still recommend this location. The beds aren't the most comfortable, if your room is close to the front you will hear a lot of road noise (traffic/vehicles), and you can hear a mouse fart in the hallway (sound just seems to carry in the halls and is very audible in room). But... The rooms are well kept and very clean. They have all the basic amenities. The staff is fantastic and the thing I will miss the most. I would definitely recommend to give them a try. read more

A rude indian lady checked us in. We told her we were going to call corporate because she didnt have the correct reservation amount. Had the receipt on the phone and she still wanted to argue it. Let me start by saying that I travel a LOT for work, and unfortunately this means I stay at the least expensive motel in an ever growing number of small towns and suburbs all across the west. My company books my accommodations and I don't expect much, and I don't need much. Instant oatmeal is a rare lobby treat. As you can imagine Motel 6 is the standard fare of my road war, and this is absolutely the worst one yet. To start there was a burnt out light bulb that was never changed during my 2 week stay. Half the channels were blurry, and the walls were paper thin so that I heard the coughing trucker next door all night. What really got me though, was the shocking service. I don't like to eat out for every meal on the road so I bring a stove top and oven. This motel is the only one that ever told me I can't cook in the room, because the smell won't go away. Despite that there was a fridge and microwave in the room. Absurd but nothing I can't just ignore. What really took the cake was being called a maricon (anti-homosexual slur in espanol) by a housekeeper. We left about 20 minutes past 11am on our last day, and this brought on a cop like knock and screaming 10 min after I said give me 10 minutes. I've left way later than this in many places and never has anyone been so rude. I'm reporting this hate speech to the BBB and would recommend anyone besides a total masochist steer clear of the depraved Motel 6 of Hermiston, OR. Ps. Nothing exceptional here, except the universally bad attitude displayed by the staff! I did not have a reservation, and you'd of thought I had committed a crime when I tried to check in without one! When I checked in, the clerk told me coffee was available 24 hours a day. At 4:30 a.m., I rolled down expecting coffee and was emphatically told the pots were clean and no coffee available. Very dated Motel, maybe even the first on built (kidding). I only give it 3 Stars because they do allow pets with no questions. Our room was clean, nice big screen T.V., bed was a Queen (no box springs) just sat on a wood platform. Can't say it was the best bed, however I did get a good night sleep which is rare for me. The toilet in my room, well just say, you had to plan what you might be doing and do plan on at least a three flusher (and very slow at that). Good news, it never backed up. Bathrooms were clean, and plenty of hot water. Staff was nice. For what they had to work with, it was OK. Great "Homemade" pizza just 4 min walk and the Panda Buffett next door was excellent and very clean. Yes I would stay again. p.s. Ive stayed here twice now and compared to most other motel 6's in oregon and washington its 5 star!!. The sheets are nice and crisp and very white and clean. You get 4 pillows. The room is very clean and also smells very clean. I like a firm bed and thats what theyll give u. Big tv, The managment is very nice and freindly but professional. Very c that ean and comfortable at a more than fair price, 60 bucks after tax!! I just wish they were all like this. read more

Traveled to hermiston for a family emergency. Didn't make a reservation anywhere. Got to the motel 6, they had a room available...a smoking room with 2 queen beds. Sounds fantastic. Now I know this is a low budget motel and all..... But holy cow.... We have a fridge in the room, it doesn't work. We have an ac unit as well.... Doesn't work. There's no coffee pot in the room. You have to walk to the office to get the free coffee they offer. I mentioned queen beds... No they are the size of a double and they are like sleeping on top of a concrete slab.. No water pressure in the shower either. There's no little bottles of shampoo, just a tiny sliver of packaged soap, and the toilet don't flush right. The only upside to this experience was being able to smoke in the room. When I went to front office to inquire about the ac... He just gave me the run around and I went and asked twice and still got run around. Hubby has to get ice in a bag to keep our sushi cold since the fridge don't work and all the same guy said was to not spill ice on the floor and another run around excuse like with the AC. My advice... If you gotta do low budget skip this one cause at 75$ a night... This crap ain't worth it! If I could I'd give zero stars! If you have children do not stay here! I had been traveling with my family for almost 15 hours. I had called 2 hours prior to reserve 2 rooms. It was close to midnight when we got to the motel. When we arrived the front desk manager who also turned out to be the owner was extremely hostile. He was upset that my husband asked for extra linens for our children. The owner told my husband that I needed to be in there because the reservation was in my name, my husband tried to explain that I was sitting in the car with our kids which includes an 8 month old. He got very angry about this. He then slammed down my husbands ID and debit card and told him to leave. He proceeded to tell him that we would not be getting a room and good luck finding one. On his was out he told my husband to go back to our own country while flipping him off (my husband in turn returned the gesture). We were born and raised in the United States so I don't really know where exactly he wants me to go but okay. We ended up going to the motel right next door where the girl was extremely friendly. As it turned out the owner from motel 6 had just called over there to speak to the owner who was not in. The only reason I think he would do this was to try to get us shut out from getting a room, because of his remark when we left. I would understand his behavior if we had been rude or snobbish or any negative behavior but all this was due from asking for extra linens and telling him I was sitting in the car with my kids. I drove 23 hours to see my grand daughter graduate from high school. I stayed here and was treated so well that I will be staying here every time I come back to this area. I was not impressed with the hotel nor the staff.. There was smoke on the walls and let the manager know and he was flat out RUDE he cursed me out up one side and down the back side. I asked him for a free room or discount and he told me no you Washington people always want a discount or something free. The freezer had something orange in it it was very dusty. I went to the front desk I asked for him to apologize. I tried to be nice to him and he was just rude his front desk clerk was going to call the police on me. There were stained mattresses in the pool area. It was the worse experience of my life!!!! I felt as though they did not care about their guest at all!!! Very disappointing!!!
