Opposite door jam of bathroom entry.

This should be a Zero but that option is not available. This property is in worse decay than it was three years ago. My question is why are they allowed, this day and age of COVID-19, they are open for operation. When I rejected the first room offered the desk clerk took my being disturbed at the condition of this property as an agent to mankind. His response, "What do you want, it is a Motel 6!" I was so taken aback at his callous attitude it took all of my resolve to maintain civility. I had a very long day and needed to get off my feet. So I sprayed every surface and wiped down with Clorox wipes. Seriously, I won't be sleeping on their sheets!! Avoid this property like the COVID-19 pandemic lives here.

This was by far the most disgusting motel I've ever been to. We got a refund but the attitude of the employee/manager was horrible. A lesson learned...always check the reviews! I cannot believe anyone would pay money to stay there-I wouldn't stay there if they paid me

My mom made a reservation at this motel 6 by accident and it was too late to cancel our reservation so we decided to keep it and check it out. After we received our keys at check in we walked into the room and were immediately disgusted by the sight of stains all over the bed and various spills all over the room. My brother also noticed a cockroach on the wall. We were throughly disgusted and my mom immediately told the front desk. The man at the front desk said that they do not have roaches and that we must have mistaken a gnat for a roach. The man said they have had a lots of gnats in the rooms due to the air conditioning being out and customers having to have the windows open. When trying to take pictures the bugs scattered and we were unfortunately unable to capture them in photos. Upon complaints, we were moved rooms. The second room was just as bad without the bugs. With spills on the furniture that had not been wiped up and trash shoved under the beds. When brought up with the front desk to see if they could at least clean up the trash, their response was to hand my mom a broom and to tell her she can do it herself. We refused to stay at the hotel so we had to pay to stay at another hotel. Before leaving, we demanded a refund and the man at the desk said he was not authorized to do so. So, he gave us a phone number to call the next day. We have called the number several times and no one answers. Needless to say, we will not be staying at a motel 6 again. Update: We were able to get ahold of the front desk and the manager said she would issue a full refund. Over a month later still never received anything. Called back, the manager refuses to speak with us. Corporate now states they do not give refunds.

For $130 this is what we got upon check in... And, with all the unsavory hotel guest mingling about the property even after switching rooms we decided we did not feel safe & left without a refund. We would never stay here again

I'm an elder punk rocker and have seen some things over the last two decades. Absolutely DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! No matter how good of a deal you think it is, it's not! I witnessed literal collapsing and taped off infrastructure. There's an abundance of indoor flys and bugs (multiple types). Black stains on the towels and bed sheets. Chips, dings, and dents left and right. No a/c, no shampoo, no conditioner, no iron, no blow dryer (if you're fancy). Just plain dirty. Not to mention the past 10pm motorcycles, people hanging out in their cars in the parking lot, and loud (yelling and having sex) guests. I want my money back but this place is too awful to deal with to try and fight it. Avoid at all costs.

Bed bugs

If you guys want free bed bugs, then you will be going to the right place. I Called when I got back home and they said they don't have any bed bugs when I specifically showed pictures to the morning worker. We ended up drying all of stuff and sleeping in my car. Mind you, we only went up there to support our cousin's play football at Cal Poly instead of driving back to Kerman. Smh bad service!

!!BED BUGS!!, !!ROACHES!!, !!ATTITUDES OH MY!! Horrible treatment from management. Many rooms have bed bugs and get rented out. The manager is rude and very unprofessional. Rooms smell like cigarettes because the manager smokes cigarettes constantly, she goes into rooms to do cleaning, and she is smoking cigarettes. She talks to guests and sparks cigarettes and smokes with the smoke going into people's faces. The rooms have no working heater, no working air conditioning.. the mattresses are bloody and full of what we assume are cigarette burns. We tried talking to corporate, and they told us to talk to the owner. The owner never got back to us. Housekeeping is being mistreated and yelled at by the manager. Motel 6 in atascadero used to be a place with friendly staff until Amy became manager and let the property go down the drain. Never going back here again. This was a horrible experience and now we have bed bugs. Thanks Amy..

Do not stay here, it's gross. The whole place is filthy and the air conditioning does not work no matter what they tell you.

We happily chose this particular Home 2 Suites due to its proximity to all the places we were planning to visit over the weekend. We arrived on a Friday night to check in. This Home 2 Suites is in a nice location off the exit in the beautiful town of Atascadero. There was a Valley Fresh Market which is similar to a Whole Foods was conveniently located across the street. Plenty of free parking is accessible all around the hotel. The hotel lobby looked very nice, clean, and fairly new. There were plenty of tables, chairs, and lounge couches for the breakfast area. I always appreciate the amenities that Home 2 Suites provides. There was a moderate size heated outdoor swimming pool that our kids took advantage of at night. There are 2 outdoor propane fire pits and a pair of outdoor grills that are available for guests. The gym was nice and had just enough equipment to have a good workout. Our room had 2 queens beds, a sofa bed and a mini kitchen. They were very spacious and comfortable. We always appreciate the extra storage space for luggage and the Hilton provided toiletries in the bathroom and showers. My only gripe was our rooms were on the freeway side and so I heard the cars zooming by when I was laying down to sleep. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Home 2 Suites Atascadero. Everyone we came across from the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff when we checked in helped us cancel one of our rooms due to family members not making it last minute. We appreciated the kind gesture. The price point was a great value. The complementary breakfast was tasty and unique with breakfast sandwiches as an option. Excellent location. We plan to be back next time we are visiting the area.

First, I was genuinely impressed to see Hilton offering non‑toxic toiletries, free‑range eggs, and nitrite‑free bacon. As someone who normally travels with my own non‑toxic products, it was refreshing not to have to do that. These healthier options are noticed and appreciated. However, the breakfast service itself fell short of Hilton's standards. When I asked the male staff member with reddish‑brown hair for full‑fat milk and honey for my coffee, he directed me to the coffee station. Unfortunately, the only options available were low‑fat milk and processed tiny plastic creamers, no stevia and both honey bottles were completely empty. I checked again when I returned for a second cup of coffee, assuming the honey would have been refilled by then. It had not. After 45 minutes, both bottles were still empty. I attempted to place one of the empty bottles on the counter behind the serving trays so staff would notice it, but because it was sticky, it stuck to my finger and fell to the floor. A few minutes later, from about 40 feet away, the same staff member loudly called out to me in a chastising tone, holding up the bottle and asking if I had "thrown it behind the counter." I explained that I was trying to get his attention because both honey containers had been empty for nearly an hour, and several guests were waiting for them to be refilled while their breakfasts cooled. Instead of acknowledging the oversight or offering an apology, he continued speaking to me in an accusatory manner. This interaction was unnecessary and unprofessional. Had he been monitoring the breakfast station and replenishing items proactively, none of this would have occurred. Suggestions for improvement: * Ensure breakfast staff regularly check and refill items, especially basics like honey, milk, and cream. * Consider offering organic full‑fat milk, half‑and‑half, or cream, which many guests prefer. * Provide staff training on guest interaction, tone, and proactive service. A simple acknowledgment and quick refill would have resolved the issue immediately. I appreciate Hilton's efforts to elevate the quality of ingredients offered. With more attentive service and better communication from staff, the guest experience would match the quality of the food. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

The owner is very down to earth and friendly. She has a lot of her art and personal touches around the place, both in the guest house and around the yard. I think the best thing about this place is how quiet and peaceful the location is. If you're trying to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, this will no doubt sate that. I heard maybe one or two cars, at most, during our stay. And the view? Amazing in all directions! The amenities themselves are beyond anything we expected. Keurig? Check! Board Games? Yup, those too. DVDs/movies? Yup! Miscellaneous books?! Covered! Food wise, there's a lot to work with in the room. Almost something for everyone. And there's a few places that do delivery to the location (one was Chinese and the other a pizza place). Wine, beer, snacks, cereal, etc. Amie was nice and gave us a few hard boiled eggs from her chickens on the property. Don't think you can get more organic than that. She also baked us some Pumpkin Pecan Raisin Cinnamon rolls as well. We couldn't have asked for a better first impression and experience. This is definitely above and beyond anything we expected. On a final note, to help address the concerns in the negative reviews posted here, our host kept in touch with us, via email, the entire time up to our visit.
