A few weeks ago, we had some difficulties placing our orders, thanks largely to (our) old, now defunct email address that we'd somehow forgotten to change. So, we contacted Alaina in C/S and finally got the account updated, but unfortunately it was not in time for our 2nd Box of Goods to be added to our order for delivery on Thursday, our scheduled delivery date. When we we were told we'd have to wait until the following Thursday as the order wasn't updated in time, we were a little disappointed, of course; however, it was really our fault, after all, and besides, Klesick's quality products are definitely worth waiting for. Fast forward a couple days later to Saturday, and as I'm outside sweeping our driveway, a small sedan suddenly pulls up and out pops Alaina with our second Box of Goods, cheerily announcing, "Well, I was going to be in the area today, so we figured we'd get this to you right away". Instead of supporting their staff and helping them succeed, they put unrealistic expectations on employees and then punish them when they can't meet them. It creates a toxic and discouraging work environment where people don't feel valued. No one should be treated this way, especially when they are new and still learning. The way the manager handles situations shows a complete lack of professionalism and compassion. Grocery Outlet needs to take a serious look at how their managers treat their teams, because good employees are being driven away.

We've been going there for years. Sadly, they no longer offer ice cream cones (just ice cream in pints and quarts) - they explained to me that they were overwhelmed by people who just wanted ice cream, and that it made it hard to sell fish. The penalty of popularity. If you need fish, whether to consume nearby, or to take home on ice, this is a great place to buy it - conveniently located on route 20, not far from I-5.

I have been a customer of Town & Country for many years, and this was a deeply disappointing and…read morehumiliating experience. A security guard followed me inside the store and confronted me to ask whether my dog was a service dog, even though the dog was clearly wearing a vest that says "PTSD SERVICE DOG." He also told me that the dog was not allowed in that area, openly questioning my right to remain there in a public establishment. Additionally, he asked questions that went beyond what is legally permitted, including questioning my disability--something a security guard is not allowed to ask. What was most alarming is that, minutes later, another person entered with a dog without any identification, and no questions were asked at all. The difference in treatment was obvious. As a longtime customer, I felt singled out and treated differently--an experience that came across as discriminatory and racist. No one should have to go through something like this while simply shopping :-(
