We've been so pleased with the work by Moss Landscaping. Lillia did a wonderful job coming up with plants and designs to address several problem areas in our front and back yards. LIllia worked with me, fine-tuning the project, taking great notes and pictures. Her very detailed proposal gave me confidence that the work would be exactly what we wanted. She made certain that the work was done to our satisfaction. When I described problems with our sprinkler system, she arranged for the irrigation manager, Jerry, to come by. His team solved problems with our old system at a reasonable price. It was nice to have them working together. The work was done about 3 months ago. The plants are thriving! A few of my neighbors recommended Moss to do some general yard maintenance and correction to some previous work done by a less than qualified landscaping company. Robert Cook came out at the scheduled time, we did a through walk around, and he promptly sent me a bid. When we decided that we wanted to go with Moss, but had questions over some of the fees and line items that he provided the communication slowed. He provided one revised quote, but I still had questions over a couple items. I asked him to call me at his convenience to discuss and then never heard back from him. No email or phone call. I would've loved to have given them a glowing review on work done, but we never got that far. read more

This is a dishonest company. My experience is based on how Moss treats its employees. Management is fast to fire its employees with no explanation, fabricating documentation of workplace violations to keep those employees from collecting unemployment. Management has poor communication with its employees, points out problems but provides no guidance or solutions, and acts dishonestly. As an example of their dishonesty, they sought to fire an employee who could not come to work because they were hospitalized. The wife of the hospitalized employee called Moss management to explain why her husband would not be able to come to work, but due to language barriers, Moss management claimed they did not receive such a call. Further, a driver purposefully slammed on its breaks at a green light causing a Moss employee going 5 mph to rear-end the driver in a Moss Landscaping truck during business hours. That driver is claiming extensive medical issues and suing Moss. Moss proceeded to fire that employee without cause, fabricate workplace write ups on the employee, and pass the lawsuit onto the employee as an individual, rather than litigating it as a company. In my opinion, a company who treats their employees this way likely will not treat their own customers well, either. Moss Landscaping is not a "people first" company. We moved into a new house and I saw Moss Landscaping company doing nice looking work in the neighborhood. I put a call in to them for an estimate to maintain our property, and do additional landscaping. Actually, I placed several calls and left messages - even spoke with the woman who fields the company calls and told her I'd been waiting for a callback. Finally, a couple of weeks later (maybe a bit longer) Eddie called and said we'd been playing phone tag - that's not what I would call it. We're looking for professionals who are courteous enough to be responsive in a reasonable time, and I was disappointed. They may be great at what they do, I have no first hand knowledge on that, but I don't want to work with a company that shows a dismissive attitude toward potential clients. read more

Several of my neighbors use Moss and i was getting mixed results from my landscaping company, so I switched the account over to Moss. They have done a great job, and dramatically improved the health of the grass, the upkeep of the beds, and have suggested some plant material that is more appropriate and durable for my trouble spots. I worked with Robert Cook at Moss Landscaping. I left a voicemail with him letting him know i was interested in getting a quote for some landscaping. He returned my call within 24 hours and we set up a time 2 days later to look at the yard and discuss what i would like to do. After meeting with me he had a quote to me within 24 hours with a line by line cost (very detailed). I was not happy with some of the plants he picked out, so i e-mailed him to let him know. He had a revised bid to me with in 48 hours with the changes. I was so happy with his professionalism and timely replies that i didn't even bother looking at other companies for quotes. His team was out within one and half weeks from me approving the bid. They finished everything in one day and cleaned up perfectly afterwards. The yard looks great and I couldn't have asked for better service. I feel like a got a good deal. Even if i didn't get the best deal it was worth overpaying for the exceptional service which is hard to find these days. Robert was also very helpful in answering some dumb questions like how often do i need to water and so on. I would feel confident in hiring Robert and his team again if needed. read more
