I really appreciate the time he spent inspecting the house and explaining what he found, especially since he didn't charge anything for the inspection. Completely disorganized company. We were customers of Aberdeen Exterminating and were very…read moresatisfied with their service. Rentokil which is the owner of Bug Out took over the company and has ruined it. It started out okay and then they changed how everything was run and how they did their service. Many times you have no idea when they are actually going to show up. Often they just show up randomly at my door expecting to do some kind of inspection or whatever that I had never ordered. We only get a voice mail letting us know that a tech is coming on a specific date for quarterly spray and if you want to change it, you have to call. But often the person who answers the call can only request a change. And it's a mixed bag if you can get the date you want. It's very strange. So consequently, I try to just be here when the voice mail says they are coming. And they started this practice of merely spraying outside instead of the inside of the house. So if I can corner the tech, I have them do the inside. Of course, they bill me extra for that. One of the techs told me they were required to take only 10 minutes to do the whole property which is ridiculous. I used to have the same tech come to my house when Aberdeen owned the company and now it's someone different almost every time. I can't request the same person who knows my home. My favorite tech left the company. I called to ask why he wasn't coming out anymore and they didn't even know who he was. Billing practices are backwards--they send you an invoice before they have done the work--sometimes before you even have a date for the job. And then you will get a past due notice! Twice! That happened to me and I ended up calling the main corporate office of Rentokil to complain. That was two weeks ago and I got nada. The only thing I can count on is that they will send an invoice. And the prices go up without notice. Someone called me to try to schedule a big job that very day! That wasn't happening. So I tried to schedule it tentatively for today because they didn't know for sure when the materials would show up, and would "call me." They never called and I called the manager and never heard back so it's a crapshoot if they show up today. And they are supposed to have someone checking traps and their "pre-traps" and were supposed to come back every 4 days to check them but that's another company that is now a division of Bug Out and is overwhelmed and cannot get the work accomplished. My husband ended up checking the traps. Trying to get in touch with them locally is impossible. It seems like they have people taking calls from their homes and are completely disconnected from any actual central location. They can virtually give the customer no real assistance. They can only promise that they will "get back to you" or "get a manager to call you" and the only person whom you can trust to call you back is a salesman or another person from their home. Or pretty much no one. I can agree with all of the other one star comments. I feel sorry for the techs who were part of Aberdeen. Some of them are very good at their job but they are part of a company that is very poorly managed. And this Rentokil group just seems to be absorbing all these small businesses that were successful and then destroying them by changing their great business practices or just overwhelming them with work that they can't accomplish. It is a big mess. Try to avoid involvement.

We have now fired them from both our locations. We had an overall inspection due this morning and they were a NO SHOW....No call no messages....I highly recommend you go somewhere else for service.
