I understand there is a schedule that needs to be kept because I have common sense and understand how an office runs. However, I do not find it appropriate to put my aunt's safety at risk by having her walk in the office without her cane/walker that she unfortunately now needs to use on a daily basis. On top of that, as I'm helping my aunt to sit in the eye doctor chair, I waited to make sure she was comfortable. Bell looks at me and rudely says "Are you going to stay in here or leave?" There needs to be a negative star for my experience with the Vision Point store located at…read more1525 U.S. HWY 41 Schererville, IN 46375 Phone # 219-322-5205 I have been to the Scherervillie, IN store for the three times now, the first time I was coming from Lens Crafters and was vary pleased with the service, however my bendable titanium frames bent so I brought them in to be fixed, the lady's in the store broke them and told me that I'd have to order new frames and that even though I could still wear and use them before they broke the arm off did not matter, I was able to locate an email address at that time to email the company office to correct that problem. The second pair I ordered had the finish peel off before I was able to order new ones and have my ins pay (every two years), when I came in this time I had asked about the finish and was told not to let hair spray touch the frame, I don't use hair products except shampoo. I paid $592.95 which I thought was extremely high, but I needed them and they sounded convincing so I paid but waited for my ins statement of benefits to come in, my ins said that I should only be billed $473.00 still high, so I called the store and was told I'd have to bring in the paperwork, so I did the following day and was meant with extremely high amounts of defending attitude to there bill of $592.95 after some calculations from the receipt on file she said that I should have paid $624.00 and offered no clear explanation of why such a difference. I was told that my ins had made a mistake in there calculation and did I talk to them about it, being that I got my mail with this information on a Friday afternoon they were closed, I told them and asked for a copy of the receipt I was met with the response of you should have your copy, I did but wanted to see if they sent in different costs to my ins, they gave it to me with extreme attitude. I don't think I was in that store more that 5 minutes and had not once gotten mean or belligerent with the lady looking at my info, I just wanted to know why my ins thinks I should only be paying $473.00. So Monday I will be calling my ins company to find out what they think and if it turns out that I should've only been charged $473.00 then I'll call Discover card and dispute the over charge and will NEVER go to this store again.

They staff are among the RUDEST people I have ever dealt with. The manager was rude to my fiancé in person and when I called back to see what could be done Karen was the worst. After our conversation she refused to tell me the manager's name that my fiancé had dealt with. She was the manager around 4pm on Tuesday 6/21, I'm sure it could be looked up. She talked in circles and when I brought it to her attention that nothing she said was making sense, she was even more rude. She said the locations aren't affiliated so they had no record of purchase since it was made in Portage. Never offered to call Portage or have my fiancé call while in the store to have the info faxed. (Portage and Schererville both use the Crown Point lab, so they would've come from the same place regardless of where they were purchased) While on the phone I gave her the date of purchase and asked if she could call Portage and get the info. I asked if that was a HIPPA violation and she quickly said yes. I doubt that idiot even knows what HIPPA is. She was just too lazy to call. I wish I could use expletives to describe this woman and her manager. Needless to say we went to the Portage and they sent the glasses to crown point to have anti reflective coating replaced and they are mailing them to my house.
