I have been a long time customer for over 20 years. I have brought my children up coming to this…read moreeye doctor facility and I myself was a patient of Dr. Michelle Millard. Went there 2 years ago and found out she was not longer there. Fast forward to today, i was trying to book an appointment to get a basic eye exam and while doing so, I called, the phone rang twice, phone picked up and i was tossed on hold without being asked if it was okay for me to be placed on hold. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service at this office. The staff is ratchet, unprofessional, dismissive, and made no effort to communicate clearly or respectfully. A medical office should make patients feel supported, not ignored. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone. Honestly the only thing missing is the staff members wearing bonnets and coming in with their house slippers.

Waited 45 days for scheduled appointment, filled out all the new patient forms even tho I've been…read moreto them in past years, left work early to make the 45 minute drive, only to be told I need to reschedule because I was 12 minutes late after being stopped by a 15 minute train. Apparently I missed the deadline by 2 minutes and there was "nothing they could do". I understand I was 12 minutes late, but you'd think they'd take into account I took a half day and drove nearly an hour after waiting a month and a half for the appointment. I will find somewhere else to make my business.

On 1/11/21, I had an exam for eyeglasses at LensCrafters; my glasses were ready on 1/16/21 and I…read morewas excited to finally have a pair with the correct prescription since my previous prescription from the other retailer wasn't correct. However, as soon as I tried the new glasses on, something seemed a little off, but I wasn't sure what it was. I decided to wear them and to see if I noticed anything unusual. As I drove and walked around in a couple of stores, I noticed that when I turned my head to the left, things looked a little blurry (looking straight ahead or to the right didn't seem to be an issue). I compared the vision of my new and old glasses in a store parking lot--with the new glasses, I noticed that the neon signs on different buildings were blurry in the left lens but my old glasses didn't have this issue. I called LensCrafters the same day and spoke to someone who scheduled me to for an appt. to have the glasses looked at (he later called and left a message to reschedule because the doctor was booked up; I had missed the call). I decided to go to LensCrafters on Sunday 1/17/21 to see if I could get a refund; after speaking with one of the sales reps, I decided to see the doctor for a second exam. I also still liked the frames and hoped that this issue could be resolved. On Monday 1/18/21, I was examined by the doctor again and she adjusted the prescription. Another sales rep, Chris A., who was really nice, curved the left lens to see if that would help the issue. She suggested I wear the glasses for a week and if those didn't work out, I could choose another frame and use the new prescription with that. She had also mentioned that the issue could be occurring due to the frame and lens sizes since they were larger than my old glasses. I agreed to give the glasses a chance. After the adjustment/curving the left lens, the blurriness seemed to have disappeared. But later on, I noticed that it appeared again (maybe it never left?). My left eye was also hurting and felt strained. Looking through the lens seemed distorted (like looking through an object with prisms? Or maybe the lens was "bent" after the adjustment so when I looked through it, ). I decided to return the glasses on Tuesday 1/19/21 because I was concerned that the issue wouldn't get better or that the new prescription would have another issue. I was able to get my money back without a problem. I wrote this review to let you guys know that I do appreciate you letting me see the doctor again and to thank you for trying to help (the previous retailer didn't give me that option). I'm wondering if there is an issue with the laboratory (could something weird be going on due to the pandemic?) or even with my insurance, EyeMed (I saw negative reviews about EyeMed so I don't know if they're using poorly made materials).

Received a phone call on January 12, 2026 telling me the glasses were never processed due to a computer glitch. Called back on January 15, 2026 because Evette the General Manager was suppose to further update me on the process, needless to say she did not. Yvette was very rude and short. AS Of Jan 22,2026 still no glasses. In a few days I will be revisiting this location to get my money back and place a complaint with the BBB. I'm currently in the process of trying to reach out to MyEyedr's corporate location, in or near Vienna. I would advise anyone needing eye care of any type not to visit this particular place of business. The staff is rude and they dont care.

However, the end of the night---there's not enough help. There was a lady waiting to be checked out. Idk if she looked around, but she said was not getting frames and wanted to get checked out. She spoke up at the register. The one lady told her they were only two ppl and she needed to wait her turn. Maybe 5-7 mins go by, she spoke up a 2nd time, and said she was gonna leave. Then one of the ladies decided to ring her up. It took all of 2-3 minutes. As a customer, I didn't like seeing that. I didn't notice her until she spoke up, but I would guess she must have waited 15 mins altogether. I also ended up leaving and not getting frames (though I did try), it had more to do with price--and I felt I could get a better deal elsewhere. There was still one customer after me. They were closing in 15-20 mins.

My experience today with the staff and Dr. Qtami was way better than I had anticipated! A customer…read moreservice representative from my insurance company recommended that I give them a try because my prescription is such a high index. She understood my plight with the insurance company covering very little of the cost because of the high index prescription. So, I ventured over and had an eye exam. The eye exam was $59 out of pocket. It would be free if my insurance were accepted at Walmart but apparently not. That was a small price for the great service that I received. Doctor Qtami was very informative and answered questions that I had about cataracts, PVD and other vitreous eye concerns. He is the first optometrist in 3 years to give a helpful prescription for my left eye and not settle for giving a balance prescription that does nothing to strengthen the eye, nor helps with night driving. So, kudos to you Dr. Qtami! How did he do it? In addition to the machine for testing vision he pulled out a classic ocular lense kit and had me hold different strength lenses up with the machine to get better acuity. Better vision is always a 5 start result in my book! Oh, the reception staff was helpful and friendly. No rude snappy comments or sassy looks, just good service! You can take your own frames and get new lenses put in, a practice that is frowned upon when I use my insurance in network locations. So, I was happy to pay out if pocket... Saving almost $100 from using the insurance plan in the past. Dr. Qtami also explained that he did not work for Walmart, rather his business is private practice in a Walmart store, which I did not understand previously. I told him to let need know if he decides to leave. He replied, "I'm not going anywhere, God put me here". From there he shared his story of how he came to this location and his plan to serve the community, beyond expected basic eye care. Again, kudos to you Dr. Qtami!
