At every visit, they required full payment upfront without waiting for an EOB from the insurance company. I paid all charges in good faith. Now, after completing treatment, they have sent me an additional bill claiming that insurance did not cover my treatment. This is completely opposite of what I was told during my last phone conversation with their staff, when I was assured that I had no remaining balance. I feel misled and taken advantage of. The office staff member I spoke with was also rude, which made the situation even more frustrating.

I was surprised that this service was not included as part of my preventive care visit and, more importantly, that the additional charge was not disclosed before the treatment was performed. I understand that not all services are covered by insurance, but patients deserve clear communication about any out-of-pocket costs before receiving treatment. Unfortunately, experiences like this have eroded my trust in the practice. While the $48 charge itself is not significant, the lack of transparency is. Dr Hawa and his team were very patient with all my questions and concerns while they went to work filling cavities, replacing and adding crowns, getting molds, prepping my teeth and preparing and placing veneers on my upper teeth. Trays were made to whiten and maintain my lower teeth. And a night guard was made for me to wear as obviously I grind and clinch my teeth at night. I now have the most beautiful smile that I never imagined was possible. Dr Hawa is a very caring professional as is his whole team. I feel like part of their extended family.
