Once inside, you will be able to rent/buy any equipment that will get you (safely) up the walls. It had been a long time since I climbed so I did take the quick belay course $6 and was climbing up the wall in no time. If you just want to climb on the shorter walls (called bouldering) you will not need to have a harness or take the class. You will need to buy a day pass $10 or some other membership. Shoe rental is $4 and I skipped that as I did it in a pair of vibram five fingers shoes. The only other cost for rope climbing is for a harness ($4). So, for either $20 or 24 you can find yourself climbing up one of the various walls, each with its own unique challenge. Some of the walls are really difficult and some are just difficult enough that you will feel really proud of yourself if you can reach the top. And pay no attention to those around you that scale the walls like spiders, they were just like you once. The vibe is really chill and people are friendly and able to offer advice if you need it. I recommend taking breaks every once in a while so that your arms can rest and watch other climbers. My best tip is to use your legs, they are much stronger than your arms and will really get you up the wall. Climbing is very challenging and I really find it both frustrating and rewarding. You will have fun (go with some friends: they do have group rates) and get a workout too!

I've trained at aerial studios across the country and I've never encountered these predatory practices. If you are confident in your services, let people move on without trying to wring money out of them if they need to stop training for whatever reason. Also, beginner pole dancers are permitted to be an instructor at this studio. Because Cincinnati is a small city without many options, Dimension Fitness is still in business. In other cities, people would choose a professional studio with more experienced instructors and non predatory billing practices. If you live in Cincinnati, find online instructors. Trust me.

We attended the orientation and free class offered by Swift Movement and was blown away by the professionalism, the immersive environment and the friendly staff. My son began his first lesson and was soon climbing to new heights (LITERALLY) within one hour. The equipment is well designed and sturdy. The cost for membership is extremely affordable. However, as a busy family, the nicest surprise was the introduction to the zenplanner app that is used to schedule classes. We can see how many kids have signed up for particular classes, easily coordinate attending special events and even cancel a reservation (with 12 hours notice) very easily. As a member, you are able to attend unlimited amounts of classes and there are many scheduled throughout the week, that my child could attend two each day if our schedule allows it. He is begging to go each day! I highly recommend Swift Movement Studio as creative alternative to typical fitness classes for both children and adults.

So far I'm really not liking it…read more Bouldering: In terms of bouldering, the routes are difficult, which is fine, but the wall is also sand paper so you'll get scrapes if you're pushing yourself. Additionally the routes are ridiculously condensed which both makes it easy to bang your hand or knee going for power moves and makes it confusing to tell which rocks are in each route. Top Rope: I've only used auto-belay because I just moved here and don't have any climbing partners. Given how difficult the bouldering routes are, it's crazy how easy the top rope routes are graded. Most people seem to come to this place in groups and I assume that the regular top-route and lead routes are graded more difficult. If so I'll update my rating later. Overall, my biggest problem is the vibe. I came from a very friendly and supportive bouldering gym in Cleveland (shoutout Nosotros) and this place does not compare. It's expensive and super corporatized. Hopefully, I meet some nicer people soon, but at the moment there is just something off about this place that I don't think reflects the climbing community as a whole.

He called almost every time we were in the building, I'm sure he wants to make sure things are running smoothly, but dang the whole place freezes in fear when the phone rings. The $25 was all inclusive of life jackets, cable ticket, board, and helmet. There are plenty of obstacles and trick equipment in the wake oval for you to try if you're up for it. I didn't fall off at all, but if you do, a potentially long walk awaits you to get back to the launch station. NOTE: Beginners should have good core and upper body strength. Some friends had trouble staying on the tow line due to the speed and jerky turns. I lift weights daily and do advanced hot yoga which really helped. You will get tired and need to take breaks too, they have a nice patio area for that. All in all, I'll be back and up for trying full wakeboarding next time. It's a cheap, fun (if you can stay up/hang on), and unique experience!

They opened in the middle of the pandemic, but that really has not stopped their growth of clientele. I'll start with safety. Everyone is spaced out and has their own machines and dumbbells to use. They do a cleaning after each class and you have to wear your mask to move about the class or be in any other space of the building. I have always felt very safe while in there and I am one who is definitely paranoid about the virus. Now, moving on to the workouts. It's basically a high intensity work out for an hour. You spend 15 minute increments on the floor with weights and on the treadmill- two times for each. No class is the same and no instructor is the same. I love that because you're getting a different experience every time you walk in the door. Your body will constantly be challenged because of this also. I will say that each instructor is very motivating and great at pushing you to be your best you inside and outside of the classroom. None of that "earn what you eat" mess. That's the number one thing that keeps me coming back. I've been to a lot of other gyms in the city and this one takes the cake. Check them out!
