    Mongolian Beef

From the moment I walked in i was warmly greeted! Everyone was genuinely so kind and made me feel at home. They helped walk me through understanding how spicy each dish would be and make sure it would be perfect for what I was wanting, Not only that the food was outstanding. The hot and sour wontons were so yummy! I also love the Mosa Pad Thai was so good! Everything was amazing portions too! I can't wait to return!!

Eh, I was between 3 and 4 stars for this place. We came for dinner during the week and were seated quickly. After that point is when the service went way down. They definitely care more about their Togo orders than their dine in. After about 15 min our waiter took our order (we asked for drinks and food because we were already hungry). The food was average. The one thing that was perfect was their spice level. A true medium with a bit of a kick on everything. Hot and sour dumplings: decent. You can tell they are made there which I enjoyed. Cucumber salad: good, a bit sweet, but fresh and crunchy Pad see u: big portion of noodles, but lacked anything else. Minimal flavor other than spice Rainbow Padang curry: not right. As someone who loves Padang curry, this was not good at all. Chucked was over breaded, sauce was thick like mayo and lacked curry flavor. I wish they would call this dish something else, because it was not a curry. Thai iced tea: delicious. Definitely the best thing there. Flavorful and not too sweet at all. I'd come back just for tea to go.

This place is garbage! I ordered the special entree Mongolian beef. It was special garbage! I got onion mush with a couple pieces of beef with no flavor. Who ever gave this place a good review owes me 18 dollars. The stray dog in the parking lot wouldn't even eat it.

Chicken pad see ewe. Almost no veggies, not a ton of chicken, mostly noodles.

Really waffled between a 2 star and a 3 star here, but my family in Memphis says they really like this place, so I'll settle on a 3 and just say maybe I missed something or got unlucky. Came here with my aunt and parents when we stopped overnight in Memphis last Sunday. There's a spacious parking lot and the restaurant itself is quite large, so we had no problems getting in. They weren't especially busy when we visited. First thing's first: it was COLD in there! I'm perpetually hot and even I was a little chilly; my poor parents and aunt were freezing! The restaurant also feels a little empty and bare decor-wise. Seating was kind of confusing. My aunt, who's visited before, anticipated ordering at the counter. We received conflicting information from two different staff members on how to proceed. After standing around for a couple minutes in limbo, someone finally told us they'd seat us and take our order at our table. They did, but disjointed service was kind of the theme for the night. Different people seating us, taking orders, checking in, etc. Our most commonly seen waiter was a bit of an odd duck; he had a slightly off putting sense of humor. It wasn't terrible, but just sort of strange. Lots of young college student types working here, so I guess I'll chalk it up to nerves or inexperience. We ordered lettuce wraps and potstickers as apps. My parents split Mr. Eddie's favorite noodles, my aunt got the Taiwanese lo mein, and I had chicken pad see ewe. As you can gather from our order, this is a pan-Asian / Asian fusion type of restaurant, and there's probably something for everyone here, considering they have Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Vietnamese dishes on the menu. I just wasn't very impressed with the food. The chicken lettuce wraps were probably the best thing, about equal to what you'd get at PF Chang's before it went off the rails. The potstickers were a little greasy and didn't have a ton of flavor but the dipping sauce was good. I think the best main dish was probably Mr. Eddie's noodles; I stole a bite of that and it was decent. My pad see ewe that I ordered medium had no heat at all to my palate, and was mostly just noodles. Maybe two or three pieces of broccoli. A decent amount of chicken, I guess, but it was unbearably tough, to the point that I didn't hardly eat any of it. It was pretty disappointing. Lastly, my Thai tea wasn't sweet enough to suit my preferences. They have a very large menu and I think the prices are reasonable. Service wasn't unpleasant, just a little unorganized and unpolished. Food was a mixed bag, but I do think my folks ordered better than I did. If I wind up coming back with family the next time I'm in town, I'll try something different.

YUM!! We ordered Chicken lettuce wrap- I just wish they gave us a few more lettuce for the chicken. The chicken was delicious ! Very savory. Def recommend ! The general pao's was one of the best I've had in a while. There were like 5 jumbo pieces of chicken and the sauce was sweet and spicy. I thought it was the perfect amount. The mr Eddie noods was super good. A bit plain some might say, but I loved it! The chicken was crispy ish. The sauce for the noods was nothing I've had before. The combination was yummy!! Would definitely recommend this place. Service was fast, staff was Uber nice!

Worst experience ever - slow ordering and then they "lost" our order and took an additional 15 min waiting (20 minutes already) after that to get it - tried the Panang Veggie Curry - huge mistake - globby sweet mess. Could not eat it. Asked to get rice noodles on side and happy to pay for it - manager was not al all accomodating - tried to order a replacement meal - Pad Se Ew since another my daughter got that one and it was ok - never came and my two companions were done - so we paid and left = no apology - and then went home to make a separate dinner. Huge bummer as past visits over the years were so much better.

Let me tell you. We barely spoke from the moment we took our first bite. We only stopped to tell each other how delicious the food is. It's THAT GOOD! I love me some Mosa Asian Bistro and they haven't missed a beat in the pandemic. The food is perfectly seasoned and tastes so clean. The portions are enough for two meals. They have one of the easiest curbside pickup experiences to date. The packaging was tight and didn't fall over in the car. LOL In addition to the Spring Roll and Wonton Soup, we ordered Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Three Seasoned Shrimp entree. The last time I went, I had the Potstickers and my eyes rolled into the back of my head. They also have an unusually amazing dessert menu with to-die-for cupcakes, cheesecakes and chocolate covered strawberries. Who knew? FYI, you can order online, and they deliver. Speaking of sweet, the owner is so nice! She mentioned they're renovating before they reopen. If you are a fan of Asian cuisine, you really cannot live in Memphis without a stop at Mosa Asian Bistro.

We also really liked the decor inside the restaurant, but this time we actually dined on the patio, which made for a nice change of pace So we ordered the wings, and they absolutely delicious --we liked them so much we ordered a second round. The crawfish dumplings were also solid, but the wings were the standout of the meal. We also tried the Bake MF Margarita, which I expected to taste like tea, but it's actually a refreshing peach-flavored margarita. At about $22, it's generously sized for two people and definitely worth trying. Our server, Mason, was very nice and made great selections for us. Overall, I'm giving Good Fortune Company (4/5). The only reason it wasn't a perfect score was the missing Slap Noodles. Even so, I'd happily return and hope to try them next time. Next time im ordering Ramen!

So, Little Petals, i.e., Petals of a Peony, Jr.: no one was inside. I assume this to be per usual for 2:30pm on a Tuesday. It follows then, that the service was, um, efficient and bespoke. Ordered the pork eggrolls (very good, the sauce that came with it - oddly the perfect amount was given in a little rectangular container - made these delectable) and the General Peony's Chicken. And this was damned good. Pricey for lunch, but I could have made 2 or 3 meals off of it. A satisfying amount of heat from the szcheuan (sp?) peppers; not overly breaded so as to make it a fried dough dish, but rather to carry the sauce on the chicken; the chicken was a quality cut, nicely sized per bite. A new go-to for lunch downtown.

To be correct as my husband would point out this is not the specific Michelin recognized restaurant but a sister restaurant. The same items are sold here yet this is a fast casual version with a drive thru. I have never been to the original restaurant so I could not compare but I thought overall it was pretty good. The price for a bento box was really reasonable I believe it was about $10. For that price you get a protein, a base, an egg roll or spring roll, and a drink. The portions were very decent! I wish they had other drink options available other than soft drinks. Technically you can get a bottled tea but it's an up charge. You know what, first impressions the Hong Kongnese owners seem like as*holes with that Ronny Chieng "Give me your money and f*ck off vibes.." but hey, you know what, they get a pass.. I totally understand....when you in a neighborhood and you once gave a damn about dining in, then COVID hits, and everything is worn down, carpets need revamping, wallpaper needs proper care, customers *some* are difficult to deal with, as a owner, you say, "f*ckit, if they want our food, they come stand in line and do take out." And so it was at that moment, having driven my rig into the WhiteHaven Plaza, making sure I didn't piss off the patrolling security and walking into this forgotten time capsule that I realized....what is this place ....social security and family help services....a dimly lit lamp of an Asian Pawn Shop owner taking orders at a window with a warm spot light on him, with green hues around...a ton of black people....hear me out, this is culture shock.. I've lived in South Dallas before, I've been around black folk...but to be the only Asian customer in line, and for the entirety of the 1 hours to 2 hours there not seeing any white people....that's a first! Well...come to think of it, living in Los Angeles over the decades...never really venture out to Compton or Crenshaw back in the days to have Chinese food, so if this many Black People all line up and spend their hard earned monies on Hong Kong Restaurant.....must be some DAMN good Chinese food. AND YES!!!!!! After placing my order and getting everything packed in a paper bag, I dug everything out went right in and I said, "Hong Kong Uncle and Auntie....you guys have EVERY RIGHT to be A**holes....Keep serving the community!!!" Food was Grade A in a Grade F environment. The Hong Kong Original Chicken Wings...you know what it reminded me of? You can't really find these in LA...it's like Foil Wrapped Chicken marinaded in Teriyaki, White Pepper, MSG, and Cinnamon, then fried. So much goodness, so much flavor, and having not had anything remotely close to foil wrap chicken since...2017 when I was working in a remote kitchen in bum f*ck nowhere RockSprings Wyoming....this was a piece of heaven! The Hot & Sour Soup...靠!!! 真他媽好喝!! Sorry translation, "so f*cking good!!!" I wanted to light a cigarette up indoors (because this place gives off indoor smoking permitted vibes) and just slowly savor the hot and sour soup packed with so much ingredients, not overwhelmed with bamboo shoots, with decent amounts of mushrooms but not those woodear shroom, this is American Hot & Sour Soup 2.0, the evolved form that fits non-Chinese people palates, and I downed an entire Large Container of it, not a drop wasted! And then I move onto the holy grails....Hong Kong Restaurant House Fried Rice and Kung Pao Chicken! Since I'm a traveling blue collared tourist, and don't really get to experience the dining scene in a town like Memphis unless I'm at a nearby Logistics Hub experiencing some down time and I get to explore town....having not tried any other Chinese restaurant and this being the only other fried rice I've tried between the states of Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennessee....... Hong Kong's House Fried Rice is singlehandedly probably the best Fried Rice I've had since my days back in 2018s working up in Greeley Colorado with a Guangzhou Super Chef and up in Monterey California with another old timer Chinese Chef when they used to make staff meals and you thoroughly enjoyed the fried rice, every overnight grain, coated with msg, soy sauce, scallions. Onions, garlic, thrown into a Wok with High Bursting Flames, charring each grain, giving each grain that solidarity, smoking flavor....ya, this is the type of fried rice you can only experience with true OG Chinese Chefs, or at the very least, the owners need to know the elements that goes into making genuine Cantonese soy sauce fried rice. Absolute chef's kiss. Here in a worn down Chinese restaurant, with owners that really just DGAF, but they kept the soul of the food intact, they look toward retirement, maybe look towards getting out of there, but because they make Good food, and they love money more, and people just keep lining up for takeout here making Panda Express look amateur....I'm gonna say it...Uncle and Auntie are the most low key millionaires...... As for the Kung Pao Chicken, a tad bit too much gravy, but I finished it all in two sittings. Americanized Kung Pao Chicken, way better than Pandas. So to all the tourists on Yelp Questioning this place. I too have passed this place for over 30 years and never stopped in. The restaurant was very neat and clean on the inside, to go only style but, a few seats available to dine in. Starting with the soup, it lacked flavor, the dumplings were doughy and undercooked however I did enjoy all the veggies and pork pieces in side the soup especially the actual fried wontons. The inside is eclectic, it's not fancy...though this isn't a bad thing. It's a nice escape from the run-of-the-mill Chinese take-out places (where you can eat inside also), it's not trying to be corporate-flashy. Best I can describe it is authentic to the people who own the joint. And I like it; a couple of fish tanks, some kitsch, the odd neon signs inside (over the bar, on the west wall towards the rear), the unused area to the right of the bar. Somethings work, something's are out of place, but it's a testament to the longevity of the location. So the food: the value is great. The apps were middle-of-the-road (sweet fire shrimp, spicy cucumbers (sans spicy but ponzu), spring rolls. The stand out was the hot and sour soup. Nothing really novel about it, but exactly what I was looking for. As the duck sauce was a bit sweet for the spring rolls to my liking, I found it necessary, and delicious, to dunk the spring rolls in the hot and sour soup. The Scientist had her usual kung-pao chicken. Really good, if not a bit basic (though the slight notch up of heat from the Szechuan peppers was appreciated). I went with the Peking duck. It's the most expensive thing on the menu (as it is everywhere else), but worth it. This is going to feed 2-3 or a big meal there and a healthy portion to take home. The skin crispy, the meat moist. Bones removed, but for the wings and thigh bones...it was appreciated. Served with Chinese pancakes and onions and a delightful hoisin. Highly recommended. The staff was delightful. Efficient (if not a little too efficient; we had two servers ask for our order), attentive, hospitable. We don't really have a go-to for Chinese food. Despite being out in Gtown, this may be our new default for Chinese eat-in or take-out.
