We were told the costs clearly, in advance, and the costs were very reasonable. We have an aging gas furnace (that we plan to replace with electric, but want to get a little more time out of), and it decided to work correctly while Aaron was looking at it, which made it a bit tricky for him to diagnose the issue. He told us the two things that were mostly likely causing the problem. We decided to ask him to replace the part that was mostly likely to be the failing part; but it was completely our decision, with no pressure from Aaron. He had the part in his truck, and replaced it quickly, along with the filter (which we had also asked him to replace). This was our first time calling Atlas Heating. Thanks to Aaron's excellent work, we will definitely be calling again, for future maintenance if we keep the furnace for that long, or for his help when we switch to a heat pump.

We started having problems with it, so we had a technician come out to perform preventative maintenance. However, less than a week later, it died completely and I could not revive it. I called Atlas, thinking that I would be a priority for service, assuming they would stand behind their work. Instead I was told that I could not get scheduled for service until 5 days later, and the money I had spent on the maintenance was essentially forfeit, as I would receive no credit towards the repairs. Instead, I went with a different company that diagnosed and repaired the problem two days later. After the rather disappointing interaction with Atlas, the owner called and was mortified at how I was treated. She was extremely apologetic and offered to not only refund the cost of the preventative maintenance, but tried to give me even more money for the poor handling of my case. While I did accept the refund, I did not think it fair to take more money. We parted on good terms and when it comes time to replace my furnace (in the near future), Atlas will definitely be part of the process. I would leave five stars, but have to deduct one for the initial poor handling of my case.

I found this company based on all the wonderful Yelp reviews to tune up my old gas furnace- something I do every year before the winter season to ensure optimal maintenance. They came out and immediately refused to do the service citing possible asbestos tape. I asked how this was possible when the last 15 years I've gotten service and have even asked the contractors to do a visual inspection of my system. They weren't sure but said that another employee in the area can come look and give me an estimate for a new system. I thought this was shady and it turns out, I was 100% right. They came later that day and quoted me $26K for a new system not including subcontracting to get the asbestos removed (another $1500). I was told and shown pictures that there was evidence of the same tape inside the duct work. I was told I would get these pictures sent to me with along with the estimate but never received any of them. I got someone to come out and test a sample of said material for $100 which did come out positive for asbestos. However the only asbestos that presented any harm was the tape on the outside of the system. There was no asbestos inside but it was recommended that I do more expensive air testing since Perfect Star said I would not be able to use my heater without the asbestos getting released into the air. Not only was this stressful to hear right before the cold weather, but I was very concerned that over the last decade I had inadvertently put my whole families health in danger using this furnace. Meanwhile, Raymond Kinder texted me a few days later to find out if I was going to move forward with the new unit. I told him asbestos removal was my priority. His response via text was "if they remove asbestos, you will not be able to run that furnace as the gases will not be vented out properly." This was not true. After several weeks of not using my heater and exploring other options to deal with a pretend problem they created for me, I went with Air Quality Testing who charged $540 for an air test. $640 later along with having no use of my heater, I learned that there is no asbestos running through my air or ducts. Perfect Star literally lied to me in order to attempt to get me to drop nearly $30,000 on a new system. Stay away from this company! They do not deserve your business for lying to their customers.

During the estimate phase, Constantine was a breath of fresh air. Instead of pushing generic upsells, he actually "downsold" us by engineering exactly what we needed to work seamlessly with our home's downflow ducting. He was honest, straightforward, and clearly explained the system without any high-pressure sales tactics. For the installation, Mike and Diego were our crew. They arrived a little past the initial 9am window on the first day, but they worked incredibly hard and got the entire complex job done right on schedule. At the start of Day 1, I handed them a simple "homeowner's QA" list of things I wanted to check with them at the end. They were super nice, listened, and gladly accommodated every single request. The workmanship is top-notch. They perfectly sealed the exterior wall where the lineset exits, helped me get the Kumo Cloud Wi-Fi connected to my phone, and hauled away all the old debris, leaving the site spotless. As a testament to their technical skill, when I asked about the refrigerant line vacuum test, they had pulled it down to 350 microns--which is a great number and proves they don't cut corners!     I was a new homeowner in 2022 when Vic (the owner) and his company, Elite Comfort Systems, saved my…read morefamily (including the feline members) from sweltering in 100+F degree weather by diagnosing and repairing my air conditioner. Since then, they've serviced the almost 22 year old system at my home, nursing it along. With each semi-annual "check-up" service, they advised me on what I needed to do, and what could wait. When funds were tight, they suggested stopgaps to help. Because of this history, when Alex showed me that my heater was leeching carbon monoxide into my home, I knew I could trust him. While I waited for my appointment, I was provided with space heaters gratis. This IS an independently owned business, and they treat customers like family. Ozzy (Osvaldo) and Anthony installed a new heat pump and air conditioner for me last week. They were at my home three days. Not only were they professional, friendly, and polite, they were also respectful of my home--taking time EVERY day to cover my carpeted areas, covering their boots as they came into and exited the house, and cleaning up any installation debris before they left each day. Ozzy and Anthony discovered that a part of the original system was not going to work as efficiently with the new system (the dampers) given the difference in the size. Ozzy explained the difference to me, noted the cost, and the pros and cons. He didn't pressure me to upgrade the items but he made sure I had enough information to make a decision. At the end of the installation, Ozzy took the time to show me how to use the new digital thermostat controls and gave me tips on how to use the system economically. He provided me information on how to follow up if there were ever any problems. Just like other times, Vic called a few days later to see how things were going (I missed the call, but still...so so kind and thoughtful). It's a lot of money to replace your entire HVAC system, no matter which company you use, but hiring one where you know you can trust the company. Simply put, you'll never have worries about trusting Elite Comfort Systems.
