I opted not to proceed with replacing the part since I'm likely replacing the car soon and did not feel pressured at all to change my mind. I have…read morejust recently moved to the Vancouver area and have always had great experiences with valvoline as company. I drive 30000 miles a year that's a lot of oil changes and always received a full service inspection from my old location in Issaquah Washington. I came into this location today was no one their pulled in was greeted by I'll call them by their first initial V he was friendly greeted me and ran me through their steps but this is where it got frustrating. V asked if I like to have my tire pressure checked I said yes and presumed to watch him not check one tire the whole time. They did not check my lights as well which Is advertised by valvoline. I always received this check in Issaquah. About ten minutes go by and my car is shaking quite a bit and the under bay mechanic started to say I can't get this plug and honestly sounded extremely stressed from their tone and just kept going at it car shaking and all. finally V went down and they seemed to get it this does worry me now that they stripped my plug for my oil pan but I guess time will tell. Very uneasy as a customer when it seems like the mechanic does not know what they're doing and you can actively hear them yelling at the other. Service kept moving forward and was a lot of back and forth between underbay mechanic and the manager C who was the other employee helping with my service. Honestly a lot of it sounded passive aggressive but also sarcastic banter back and forth. Just did not seem like anyone was actually focused on me and my car. Now this last part is something that is honestly coming off like a scam and this is actually the third valvoline to do this I ignored in Issaquah because of how well of service they gave me but I get a full synthetic oil change recommended that you change it every 5000 to 7500 miles instead of 3000 miles for typical oil change. I will post pictures of my sticker and my mileage and but they gave me a 3000 mile reminder sticker. For someone who doesn't pay attention that can cost them twice as much a year very shady business practice and or just pure laziness I'm not sure. Like I said this location Issaquah and the one on mill plain location which I took my wife's car too about a month ago have all done the same sticker situation. Truly not sure I will keep moving forward with further business at any valvoline as it seems like the service per price point is just not there anymore or just does not seem like management cares. That was the probably the part that got me to write this review as I personally had the manager C working with me and if this is how you manage a shop I'm just not sure I want to go back. They only get two stars cause at least they were friendly with me.

When they told me I needed new brake pads before my trip. With any other shop I probably would have gotten a 2nd opinion and done some price shopping, I trust them. They also go above and beyond in their customer service. I 1st went there on the recommendation of a friend. The dealership had just quoted $110 to change a headlight bulb. When I asked them how much it would be, they quoted the price of the bulb, 20ish if I remember, and didn't charge me to put it in. Fast forward 5 years, I asked them to change my husband's headlight. They looked at it, it had a loose connection, they tightened it up at no charge. These seem like small things but it speaks volumes about the business. I highly recommend this shop.

I have gone to this Valvoline location many times for oil changes without any issues, but my most…read morerecent experience was extremely disappointing. After my oil change, which was performed by the manager, Donald, I was driving to a family dinner the following day when my car suddenly started smoking heavily from the exhaust. It looked like my car was on fire. I immediately had it inspected by another repair shop, where I was told that my oil had not been properly changed or actually changed at all and that the engine had been overfilled with oil. They explained that this could potentially cause serious engine damage. Since then, I've been dealing with ongoing issues with my vehicle. It's been over a month, and my car still has not returned to normal. I've spent countless hours going back and forth with Valvoline regarding the damage and repairs. While corporate has been involved and I have documentation supporting my experience, the overall process has been frustrating and difficult. I'm sharing my experience to warn others. Based on what happened to my vehicle and the way this situation has been handled, I would not recommend this location at all or valvoline as a company. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through the stress, inconvenience, and uncertainty that I've experienced.
