We went by the other day on a foggy day. It was shortly before Christmas and we wandered around the beautiful rooms to admire the housewares. The building is very inviting to begin with because it's wood and has brick flooring throughout. Everything is displayed artistically with lots of space and in a manner that you might use it in your own home, it's like walking from one beautiful dining room to another beautiful area of a home. I started adding pottery from the Garden Gallery to my collection of housewares and they have served me well over the years because they're always such high-quality. I always get joy from using them The designs and colors are always tasteful and they really go well with any decor. More than that, the way the objects are displayed together is truly artistic and never fails to inspire me!

We did not see the no food and drink signs and my husband brought in an empty metal cup. We were told as the woman walked past us and not to our faces, her back turned to us the whole time, to put it at the front but my husband wanted to hold onto it just to not forget it and my husband even indicated it was empty. The woman then proceeded to loudly talk about us with another worker as we were also the only ones in the store. She said "they can probably hear me talking about them" and said it was rude and she didn't like rude people. We promptly put back the merchandise we had been holding to buy and left the store, she was also singly loudly a song about thieves and jokers and singing get out. Yes we did not see the signs walking into the shop as there is a lot going on in terms of signs at the front of the door so a kind warning letting us know drinks and food are not allowed would have been sufficient. She did not have to talk loudly about us trying to embarrass us to the other worker. This is not even kind or customer care at all. If you would liked to be talked down to and treated poorly this is your shop. Not that it should matter, but I am also a visibly Muslim woman and she was very peachy to other Caucasian customers prior to our entering the store.

Located in downtown Morro Bay, the Treasures Antique Building houses the curated displays of fifty…read moredifferent vendors. Street parking is available nearby. It seemed like the vendors had autonomy to sell what they wanted. The single employee would call a vendor if there was a question from a prospective customer. Some displays were behind glass, but the majority were open, counting on the carefulness of customers. We stopped by to see if we could pick up a memento from Morro Bay, but no luck. My wife did end up buying a blouse from a brand that she liked, so the trip wasn't a total loss. I did enjoy slowly wandering down the cramped aisles...a lot of hobbyists displaying their passions: a lot of toys, comic books, and hardcover novels.

Apparently the clerk I got on the phone was, unfortunately the same one that has gotten several negative reviews. She sounded older, think she said her name was Martha. I hadn't even finished telling her what I was looking for, and she cut me off, saying "Could you please call back, thank you" and hung up on me! Just like that! Not sure I want to make an hour and a half round-trip if she's going to be running the store, and I don't even know if they have what I want! Owner needs to consider either having a serious talk with her, or letting her go (hopefully she isn't the owner!)

Some of the real beauties are the frames and little animals that they make out of shells as well as the ships made out of shells. I got a lot of scallop shells to use to make craft items with, ranging color from pale white to a beautiful coral in natural colorations. It's a fun place to come visit and simply look at the multitude of shells, or stock up on all reasonably priced shells.

There is a short description and you purchase a token at the counter and vend the art out. We got the glass heart pendant and mini drawing on tile. Aside from the machine they offer prints on wood, metal or aluminum in 30 min which is a nice touch. I've also seen them do photo pop ups.

Darling little gift shop that just opened 3 weeks ago. She has another store in Cambria. They print…read morethe (super soft) shirts there so if they don't have your size, she can print it right on the spot for you. They have fun gifty items and the coolest part is that their business and name came from their photography business where they started recording people's love stories on video weddings. It's now become a full-blown website which you can check out. The phone booth in her store is going to be converted into an audio recorder so that she can get recordings of your Love Story on tape to add to the website. The Cambria store has the capacity for video recordings, apparently. The owner is super sweet too!
