Located in downtown Morro Bay, the Treasures Antique Building houses the curated displays of fifty different vendors. Street parking is available nearby. It seemed like the vendors had autonomy to sell what they wanted. The single employee would call a vendor if there was a question from a prospective customer. Some displays were behind glass, but the majority were open, counting on the carefulness of customers. We stopped by to see if we could pick up a memento from Morro Bay, but no luck. My wife did end up buying a blouse from a brand that she liked, so the trip wasn't a total loss. I did enjoy slowly wandering down the cramped aisles...a lot of hobbyists displaying their passions: a lot of toys, comic books, and hardcover novels. read more

What a cool place! Everywhere you look (including up!) there is something unique. The vibe inside is very chill, and the way everything's arranged makes it feel like a magical place (as opposed to some of the stuffier antique shops I've visited, which feel more like warehouses). I'm always on the hunt for books, and Treasures has a big selection throughout the store. The lady that helped us was friendly, greeting us as we entered and being very pleasant when we checked out, including bringing a stepstool around the front of the cash register so my 5-yo daughter could climb up and chat with her. This was our first visit to Treasures. We like to vacation in Morro Bay, and this is sure to become a new spot for us to return. read more

Savvy Antique and Thrift Store shoppers know that this self-contained universe is not just about shopping, it's about people. The curators, the other shoppers, the rare long-awaited treasured find and talking up the experience with the curators. It's that unique glimpse into Industrial history and the products, clothing and art that you can only find in these stores. Treasures Antique Mall's layout and array of offerings suggests that they get this. But their choice of employee to run the joint on this particular bustling Sunday suggests they don't. We, after years of searching, found a delicate acrylic glass vintage 60s family room centerpiece we'd dreamed of. I immediately went to the front desk to stash it while I continued shopping. The desk was unmanned. The impatient line of people there already queued up suggested the helm had been unmanned for quite some time. I grab the Ring For Service Bell, give it a good shake, and out comes the young lady "on duty". During the next 10-15 minutes, that bell rang 3 more times. Upon checkout, she rings me up...then slides the 60s vintage piece back toward me across the counter. Incredulously, I look at her - waiting for even a glimmer of eye contact - but instead, she starts ringing up the next person. I continue standing there until she finally looks at me and asks; "Can I help you?" I said; "Yes. I need this wrapped up." Her just a little huffy; "Really." Then...she HANDS ME A BAG - and goes back to the other customer. Okay. Slack-cutting me says "she was overwhelmed. Her BOSS was crazy to let her man that ship solo." Slack-cutting me might also say "the girl suffers from something social anxiety-related. Her BOSS was short-sighted in choosing this young lady for front-counter interaction ." But savvy Antiquer me says - the boss set her up for failure. The boss failed to rise to the needs of the customer. The boss lacked the common sense to properly train this employee. The boss...failed to remember that this is a business that's about people...not just ringing a cash register. Hey "Treasured" - wake up and enjoy your 2 stars - you get 'em only because you were the one to facilitate an incredibly rare find. But frankly, that was pure luck. And that's pretty much what you're going to need to survive in the savvy world of Treasure shoppers. read more

Best antique slash consignment shop in all of Morro Bay. This place has a little bit of everything and you will no doubt find whatever it is you are looking for. The shop is very large, but the isles are kind of tight, so make sure that if you bring your kids, you watch what they are doing because they can easily bump into something. This is really just such an enjoyable stop whenever we visit Morro Bay, and everyone has a really good time looking at all the goods. Really brings back memories for those of us old enough to remember our items from our youth. read more

This is the most biggest and coolest thrift store I have ever been. So much unique items and so much to look at. The owner/cash register lady was nice and helpful. She was the only worker and had to work the register and open the restroom for customers. She was patient and kind. The store is filled with cool old school collectibles and clothing. If I could leave zero stars I would, which is really sad because I've enjoyed browsing this store every time we visit the area. I found these boots and for $65 I figured I'd ask if the owner could lower the price a bit, considering the shape they were in. As an owner, there is no reason to speak to a loyal customer in a condescending manner, and specifically said that they were in really good shape (obviously they were not, this was after 30 minutes of walking). It was a simple question, and did not warrant the attitude she immediately gave. read more

BEWARE, CONSIGNOR S & SHOPPERS! This store IS NOT always open when it's online hours says it's open! If you show up expecting them to be open, according to their posted hours online, they will rudely turn you away at the locked door. SO CALL FIRST! They close an hour earlier, apparently on some days, without having that on their online details of operation. I showed up 40 minutes prior to closing, according to their online hours of operation details. I shopped and purchased some items at this store earlier in the day, and after, I left and drove back to another town I was staying in while on my one night stay to the area. While enjoying the last part of the day and sun, on a beautiful beach, about 30 minutes from there, I kept thinking about some cast iron items I had seen earlier that day. I decided I would go back to buy them if they were still open. I checked their online hours and they were listed as open until 7 pm...it was a Tuesday. I decided to pack up and head back to this store to make almost a $100 purchase of these cast iron items I had seen earlier that day, and I had to immediately go since I'd be leaving town before sunrise the next morning. I left the beautiful beach I was on, 30 minutes away, and arrived to the store at 6:20 pm. I saw employees inside as I approached. I was so excited to make this purchase, only to pull the door open and only to find it locked. I was confused. I'm looking on their online hours of operation and looking at their locked door and the employee inside who is looking at me. He walks over to the glass door, but won't open it, and said they were closed. I pointed to my phone and said the hours online say your open and kindly asked if he would mind selling me something quickly. He said NO and that they had closed early that day and they had already emptied the cash drawer. I would have paid with a card, but he didn't care to ask. This employee displayed zero care in customer service and also exuded the most apathetic demeanor and attitude during his interaction. It shouldn't have been a surprise that he chose not to honor their business hours. I had made a special trip based on their business hours and was unfortunately unable to return the next day since I had to depart before sunrise. The cast iron items were a couple of long awaited and searched for items. Since I couldn't return the next day, and since he refused to sell it during operating hours, then I had to accept it wasn't going to happen. As a business owner, myself, I cannot understand how a business doesn't compensate for an error they make to benefit the customer. It's good business practice. I don't understand how they can turn away business when they should have been taking business. And I don't know how they can turn customers away from their consignors! I won't return to this store that I've visited many times in the past. I will no longer recommend this store to all of my guests that I get from all over California , the United States, and all over the world. If you are reading this and do decide to go towards the end of their online hours of operation, call first to confirm hours. Think twice if you're a consignor, or insist they honor their online hours of operation. There are many other antiques shops (and thrift shops) to enjoy, too. read more

This place is so awesome. I've never seen an antique store quite so well laid out, and Sheryle and I live to stop at antique stores. We love to stop and see if they have any rare books, which Treasures did have a few. We also like to see their selection, and man, this treasures Antiques place really has a wide range. They have the best selection of great jewelry I've ever seen at any antique store ever. They have a fair selection of books, and their weapons section is very good! I found a great looking dagger, it's probably not authentic, but it sure looks nice. True to the name, you'll find some great treasures. Also, if you're a Christian like Sheryle and I, and you like to support Christian businesses, please do support this one. The owner is a Christian trying to shine her light here in California, which is a beautiful state but definitely not a place that's friendly towards us. And she has been able to lead people to the Lord here, plus she uses her business as an opportunity to bless people. I really encourage you to come and support Mary at Treasures Antiques. read more

I try to make it into this shop once a month, some of the booths have sales and they do bring in new items (unlike some other malls in the area). It is set up pretty well to browse as you walk through. Prices are pretty steep for most items, but that it typical, and I usually find something to buy despite the high prices. There are many booths with new items, they shouldn't be in an "Antique" shop. Another thing that makes this shop lose a star is the attitude of the owner who often works the checkout counter. Maybe she is an acquired taste, but I wonder why some of these shops are owned by people who really don't seem to like people!! The last time I went in she was so rude to me, I was just asking a simple question, too. I am thinking twice about if I should continue to shop here due to her rudeness. I will most likely stop by a couple more times, especially because I like the Christmas items that the sellers offer. If she is still rude I will have to stop shopping here. The owners should realize that the items being sold and the customers are what makes their business successful. read more

Oh I absolutely love this small intimate antique/thrift store. It has antiques, vintage, and new items in it which would satiate anybody's need for collecting a treasure. Found beautiful vintage dresses just my size and a classic bolo. Boot selection was incredible although sadly too small or too big for me. Also picked up some great books, some classic Westerns and a few newer ones for $5 or less. Purchasing or not, it's like walking through a museum. So much to look at. Love this place! The store is absolutely beautiful, and I did come away with a couple small goodies, but I would say that the only setback would be the gal at the front desk. Tried to make cheerful smalltalk and compliment the store while she rang us up, but we were completely ignored. I guess she was more interested in eating her french fries and playing on her phone. I've recently fallen in love with Morro Bay, and this is part of the reason why. This antique mall is filled with wonderful, 20th century antiques. A lot of great jewelry and kitchen items. People rent out spaces here to sell their things, so prices will vary. Unfortunately they haven't got many sellers with cameras or "man"tiques, as are my favorite, but you're still going to find yourself here for a couple hours browsing. The staff here are so funny and amazing, and they love what they do. I've been to all of the antique shops in this area and no other store has staff that are as engaging or interested in helping as they are. read more

Plenty of interesting stuff , prices that tend to be high but not ridiculous from a broad range of sellers. The girl who works here is extremely rude, I walked in and asked for her help to try on a ring and she completely ignored me, after asking her for help multiple times she finally acknowledged me and didn't even say one word to me the whole time, just giving me a dirty look. Didn't welcome me into the store or say bye at all, just quiet the whole time with a dirty look on her face. I went in today and was appalled with how I was treated. The owner of the store spoke to me and my friend in such a condescending tone. I am in my early twenties but that is no reason to treat me lesser. While perusing the thin aisles and sharp corners of the shop, my friends scarf caught on an item hanging off one of the corners. Her scarf was pulled off while the item fell breaking a part of it. We we're quickly told, "if you break it, you buy it." We tried to discuss the issue but we soon found out she wasn't about to budge. It wasn't the policy that I had a problem with but rather they way in which it was approached. She was simply rude and insulting. She directly questioned our morals, never speaking in a tone of respect. I thought the entire interaction was unprofessional. After feeling personally attacked I will never again enter this store. read more

At first I was overwhelmingly excited to find the type of tooled leather purse I had been looking for for months. After purchasing it, within five minutes the leather snapped. I went in to return the purse and the lady at the front desk treated me exceptionally rude, as if it was my fault that she sells faulty merchandise. She proceeded to treat me and family rudely as she begrudgingly returned my money to me. After the return had finished she gave no indicator that it was over and I waited patiently for her to tell me it was over. She took my patience as contempt and yelled at me for "being disappointed at her". And I mean she quite literally rose her voice at me and my mother. If you are looking for at least decent costumer service, this store is the opposite of what you're looking for. read more

RUDE!! We were treated like thiefs! After entering the store, within 10 minutes we were asked for our purses.. (store policy) after shopping and getting ready to make our purchase, we noticed every woman in the store had her purse except us. When asking for our purses back at the counter, they were shoved at us :( I called and asked for the owner... it took me asking at least 6 or 7 times, for someone on the other end of the phone to finally say she was the owner.. She was so rude, no apologies for how we were treated. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!! read more

My opinion is steadfast in that I will never enter Treasures Antique Mall again. In the antique store, a crowded corner around a shelf lead me to accidentally brush a poorly placed dangling marinate off to the ground. Instantly the store owner was nothing but nasty to me, stating in a condescending tone "Well you know what that means!" As a patron I was trying to be reasonable to see if an agreement could be made over the matter of what to do, but I was attacked as a person as opposed to her trying to back the policy, "you break it you buy it". Purchasing the item was of no issue, it was the way in which I was addressed and the situation was handled that was off putting. Maliciously turning the incident into a personal matter with my moral fiber being questioned I realized she had no care to level with me and talk to me let alone as a costumer but someone worthy of respect. With no consideration as a patron and having been disrespected with personal opinions irrelevant to the debut I was heavily insulted. What would I do if it was my store; have the costumer leave happy. You lost me as a costumer today. read more
