Dr. Morris Ahdoot C-section cesarean
Danial S.

We had an absolutely exceptional experience with Dr. Morris Ahdoot, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the very beginning, everything was incredibly easy and stress-free. Scheduling appointments was simple, and whenever we needed to be seen or had questions, Dr. Ahdoot and his team were always responsive, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. It truly felt like we were supported every step of the way. Dr. Ahdoot's knowledge, professionalism, and calm confidence immediately put us at ease. He is incredibly smart and always spot-on with his diagnoses -- every concern we had was addressed accurately and thoughtfully. He takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure you fully understand every decision, which made a huge difference during such an important time for our family. Beyond his expertise, his kindness and compassionate approach truly stand out -- you can tell he deeply cares about his patients. At the hospital, something that gave us even more confidence was hearing the staff's reaction when they learned Dr. Ahdoot was our doctor. Multiple nurses and hospital team members told us, "You are in very good hands -- he is one of the best." Hearing that from medical professionals themselves reassured us that we had made the right choice. We had a C-section with Dr. Ahdoot, and the entire procedure was smooth, well-organized, and handled with incredible precision. The surgery went perfectly, the stitches were clean and beautifully done, and there were absolutely no post-surgery complications. The recovery process was far better than we expected, thanks to his skill and attention to detail. He also performed the circumcision for our little Valentine's boy, and again, everything was handled with professionalism, care, and reassurance. As new parents, that level of confidence and trust meant the world to us. A very special mention goes to Claudia at the front desk -- she is truly amazing. Claudia is a game changer and a huge asset to Dr. Ahdoot's practice. She is warm, organized, responsive, and always goes above and beyond to help with scheduling, questions, and coordination. Every interaction with her made the experience smoother and more pleasant. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and welcoming, creating an environment where you feel cared for from the moment you walk in. If you are looking for a doctor who combines outstanding medical expertise with genuine compassion and an incredible team, Dr. Morris Ahdoot is simply the best. We are beyond grateful for the care he provided to our family and will always recommend him with complete confidence.

Thank you Dr Ahdoot!

Months late, but a much needed review of a provider I will always hold much respect and gratitude for! Dr Ahdoot cared for my daughter Maddie's pregnancy. At 36 wks, he noted complications which prompted a need for delivery early. That unfortunately was met with challenges from the hospital side. His steadfastness, knowledge, and determination in advocating for her delivery got her induction to start the moment she hit 37wks. During her labor, it became evident he was spot on with his concerns! And although it got stressful at the end, his patience , skill and timely interventions ensured a safe delivery of our sweet Dawson on 11/30. To think waiting any longer it could have been a much different outcome. We are forever grateful for him and his entire office staff! ~Janssen & Ponder family

Very disappointing experience -- serious patient safety concerns…read more I was referred to HRC Fertility Newport Beach by a friend who had a good IVF experience there. I chose HRC because it has a good reputation and is one of the larger and more established fertility clinics. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I waited almost 40 minutes for my blood work and ultrasound. But the worst part was the blood draw. The staff member who drew my blood had tattoos covering her arms and stuck me three times, my blood even spurted onto the floor. I was very scared, she then told me that she had only been working as a phlebotomist for about one month and did not have much experience. What really concerned me that the floor had a lot of used needles, tourniquets, alcohol swabs on it. this made me seriously question the clinic's quality standards, as well as its patient safety and infection-control procedures. as a patient, I feel unsafe and uncomfortable. HRC has a long-standing reputation in fertility care, so I expected a much higher standard. I sincerely hope management looks into what happened and takes this seriously. This was more than just a customer-service issue for me. It was a patient-safety concern.

If you're here because of infertility, first I just want to say I am so sorry you are part of this…read moreclub. It is such a terrible journey to be on. My husband and I were TTC for 4 years and tried a lot of different routes before finally giving IVF a chance. As a background, I have Graves Disease, stage 4 endometriosis, and I'm in my thirties. My husband and I tried IUI before doing IVF with a different fertility doctor, but she wasn't the right fit for us. I contacted Dr. Hatch's office for a new patient appt after that, but couldn't get in for six months. I made the appt anyway, hoping I wouldn't need it and would be pregnant before then. Very long and traumatic story short, during that six-month period we met with another fertility doctor. I miraculously got a few embryos out of the IVF process with him, but that doctor was horrible. (His license was revoked and he is no longer practicing). We took our embryos to Dr. Hatch when we finally got to meet with her and the difference in level of care was staggering. Neither of the former two doctors came anywhere near her attention to detail, willingness to listen, and drive to continuously check every level and adjust the plan accordingly. If you're looking for order, perfect schedules, and a clinical-feeling experience, this office won't be your vibe. But if you want a doctor that truly cares, spends extra time with you to hear you out and explain things, and someone willing to work around the clock to try her hardest to get you pregnant, this is the place for you. I've never experienced this level of care from any other doctor in my life - and I have had many, many doctors. I am now almost 30 weeks along with my first pregnancy! I recognize that every baby is a miracle and not everyone will have this same outcome, but if you want to give it your absolute best shot, I really believe Dr. Hatch is worth every penny. She cares deeply for her patients and is your biggest cheerleader. I cannot wait to use her again for our other embryos. Dr. Elizabeth Dilday is wonderful, and if I were rating her alone, it would be 5 stars without a…read moresecond thought. But this review is about my entire experience with egg freezing here -- and the frustrations have buried the highlights. I genuinely wanted to love this place. I just can't. Start with billing, which has been a nightmare. I need my invoices for medical reimbursement -- that's money I'm owed back -- and despite staff promising to "expedite things," it took 2.5 to 3 months to get them, lack of email responses, calls with no number to call back, extensions that only goes to empty voicemails, after they'd sat marked "pending" for nearly two months. And when I finally reviewed the charges, the refund amounts had been added up wrong. So now I'm double-checking their math too. To fix it, I had to chase a separate department on East Coast time, which became an endless game of phone tag. Their billing is somehow both impossible to reach and disorganized once you do. I came on a referral specifically for Dr. Dilday, and everything was fine -- until the morning of my procedure, when I was casually told she wouldn't be performing it. Instead it'd be whoever was on rotation. How is the day-of an acceptable time to learn that the entire reason I chose this clinic isn't the person operating on me? A heads-up days in advance is not a big ask. Dr. Dilday did visit me, which was genuinely sweet -- but one kind gesture can't paper over how poorly this was communicated. Then the anesthesia, which still upsets me. I told the anesthesia team and every doctor that I come out of anesthesia rough -- clearly and repeatedly. Nobody believed me. The anesthesiologist brushed me off, saying that in all his years he'd never had a problem, and any issues before were because I hadn't had him. Well -- I had an adverse reaction. I woke up in traumatic, screaming pain, a 20 out of 10, exactly what I'd warned about. I wish he'd taken me seriously as he weaned me off the medication after the OR. My recovery was far worse than the two similar procedures I've had before -- genuinely concerning -- and I'm left wondering if it was the technique, the anesthesia, or both. When a patient tells you exactly what will happen to their body and you ignore them, this is what you get. Now the pharmacy. CCRM uses an outside pharmacy, and that was its own disaster. The driver "missed the delivery window," and then management couldn't even locate their own driver for hours. When they finally found him, he had to meet me at a dinner venue -- where I walked out in front of all my friends to grab a giant cooling box for medication I did not want to explain to anyone. I was over an hour and a half late to my event, then had to inconvenience someone to store the meds in their fridge, which meant sharing a deeply personal situation I'd have preferred to keep private. I basically lost a whole day on the phone juggling team members over a pickup that should have been a simple delivery. And all that chaos traced back to one decision: the clinic sent only a single day's loaned dose. So of course I then had to call the on-call doctor after hours to report I didn't have what I needed for day two. I still don't understand why they couldn't just loan two days' worth so nobody has to scramble. It got worse. Right before my trigger injection -- the most time-sensitive, do-not-mess-this-up part of the whole process -- the on-call doctor clearly hadn't read the notes from the physician before him. He instructed me to start a medication I was never given and that was never ordered. I was at work, and he sent me into a full panic attack, because I couldn't drop everything to figure out what I supposedly had, literally the second-to-last day before my trigger. The lack of professionalism, the broken handoffs, the total breakdown in communication between departments, physicians, and billing -- it has genuinely let me down. And it's worse because this could be such a great place. The talent is here, the reputation is real, and I drove two hours each way because of it. I could have stayed local, but I took the referral and did my research -- only to find out how much exhausting, unnecessary work this would be. Roughly four months later, I'm still chasing invoices that don't add up or aren't complete enough to even submit. Fertility patients are already carrying enough emotionally, physically, and financially. It should not be this exhausting. The anxiety, the frustration, the helplessness, and the feeling of not being heard at times really don't make this experience with CCRM. I wish it wasn't so, and I am so sorry for leaving this review, but i really don't wish this upon anyone who is coming hoping for a good result.

The financial coord. had 3-4 weeks to obtain the authorization, and failed to do so until I called on the first day my of cycle. We ultimately completed 3 IUIs. Our experience with Rosencrantz himself was positive. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the office staff and administrative process. There was very little proactive communication throughout the process. Everything was self-directed. If we wanted to proceed with another IUI or discuss moving on to IVF, we had to initiate the contact ourselves. Even after our first IUI, to begin the 2nd, I was told that I could not proceed because either a required test had not been completed or the needed some type of records a certain way. Regardless, the larger issue was the lack of communication and coordination. I was consistently trying to stay ahead of everything the office needed so that there would not be delays when my cycle began, yet there seemed to be something new that prevented us from moving forward each time. In July, our insurance benefits changed and IVF became a covered benefit. We made an appt with Rosencrantz in August and shortly afterward made an appointment with the financial coord. This was a different financial coord. from the one we had previously worked with. I had also previously tried contacting the original financial coord. through the patient portal with questions and often did not receive a response. If my husband called and left a message for the financial coord., he would not get a call back. It got to the point of contacting the nursing staff to get answers. During our appt with Dr. Rosencrantz, we discussed our desire to begin IVF as soon as possible. He instructed us to communicate this to the financial coord. That conversation initially seemed to go well, and again, I specifically explained that our insurance required prior authorization. Because of what had happened with our IUI experience, I was very proactive about monitoring the authorization process myself. Despite this, the IVF prior authorization was not submitted until the end of August. We later discovered that prior authorization was also required for certain medications, and those authorizations were not submitted until September. At one point, I called the office to speak with a financial coord., and the person who answered the phone would not provide her name. I was also told that my insurance did not cover IVF, despite the fact that we had confirmed that IVF was a covered benefit under our new insurance plan. This was incredibly frustrating and concerning. We initially expressed our desire to begin IVF in August. It is now October, and we are still not close to starting. The medication authorization expires in November, and there has also been a lack of follow-through regarding authorization for one of the medications, Omnitrope. My insurance covers it, however the clinic failed to respond within 5 days. Therefore, my insurance canceled the authorization and the medication would cost me to pay 700-900, even though this is covered, because RMA failed to do their job. At this point, we have gone through three different financial coordinators, and we are now more than two months past our initial IVF financial consultation. Despite our efforts to stay on top of the process and repeatedly communicate what was needed, we still have not been able to move forward with IVF. Our biggest issue is not one isolated mistake. It is the repeated pattern of having to chase the office for information, discovering that necessary steps had not been completed, receiving conflicting information, and having treatment delayed as a result. This office is extremely disorganized when it comes to insurance coordination and communication. If you are considering treatment here and your insurance is involved, I strongly recommend doing your own research, confirming your benefits directly with your insurance company, and closely monitoring every authorization yourself. Do not assume that something has been submitted simply because you were told it would be handled. Ultimately, after the repeated delays and frustration, we have decided to leave RMA. The experience has unfortunately made that impossible for us.
