It's been over 10 years since I left a poor yelp review, but this experience was so over the top horrible that I'm taking the time to chronicle it. My wife and I spent tens of thousands of dollars with this clinic and not only did it fail to produce a viable embryo, but we didn't even merit a phone call or contact of any kind after the failure of the last cycle. We never even met with a doctor despite working for months with the clinic, and then two years later we got a surprise bill for thousands of dollars for storage of non viable embryos that we never agreed to. Attempts by phone and in writing to contact the clinic about this were ignored, and now I just got a letter threatening to send this fictional bill to collections. I really can't recall feeling less valued or cared for by any service provider and they've now added insult to injury, with more injury coming if they actually send this made up bill to collections. I'll be following up with the CA Secretary of State regarding the bill I believe to be fraudulent. For the rest: Find another clinic. Reading some of these other comments my experience with LiveIVF was not uncommon. If you want to waste months of your life and tens of thousands of dollars there are far more fun ways to do it. read more

Dr Yelian understands that fertility is not a one size fits all process. He genuinely cares about his patients, and tailors his approach to each individual. As someone who has been to "fancy" REI clinics in Pasadena, LA etc, I found that I was being treated as just another number.... Same protocols, same instructions, same speech telling me I was too old etc (I was 37!) Not only did I have stressful/bad/experiences at these clinics, my end result was utterly disappointing and I left time after time feeling hopeless. A good friend of mine put me on to Dr Yelian and my life changed. I didn't feel like a number, all the stimulation protocols were tailored to me, and here am I with some beautiful (I'm biased) embryos.... Something I did not see as a possibility just 2 years ago. Dr Yelian and his team are amazing. Dr Yelian himself is super encouraging and instills the necessary hope in your to continue your journey. He never makes you feel like a failure and always has a plan B. I've read some reviews saying this practice is impersonal, like a factory, and that you don't get to see the doctor often. I had an Egg Retrieval on October 10th 2025, with Life IVF. It was the most horrific procedure ever performed on me. I'm 38 years old, and I had one follicle measuring 17 mm on my right ovary. Since it was only one follicle, I opted not to have anesthesia. The Nurse was overloaded with patients and not personable before the procedure. During the procedure, the first doctor entered the follicle with a pinch, but no egg was found. He waited for Dr. Ye to arrive after an hour and had him take a look. Dr. Ye went into the follicle again, this time with no sensitivity. After looking around, he retracted the needle and forcibly re-entered the follicle. By this time, I was grunting in searing pain while my legs were strapped down to the stirrups. Visibly seeing my discomfort, he asked a nurse to hold my torso down. When Dr. Ye finished his examination, I went to the recovery area, where the Nurse showed me what my egg would look like in a couple of days. Then, to my alarm, she told me, "Oh, we did not retrieve an egg; the doctor aspirated a cyst on your right ovary". Now, a follicle and a cyst look familiar, but not warning me that he was going to drain it was positively barbaric. The pain was unimaginable, and the days following were marked with shooting pain on my right ovary. I can not recommend LIFE IVF to anyone in good conscience. The process was hurried along, the nurses were unsympathetic, and the pain of being awake through my procedure will haunt me. Please opt for Anesthesia!!!!! They say you won't need it, but you do. read more

Deeply Disappointed with Life IVF - Please Read Before You Choose This Clinic I normally don't write reviews, but after my experience with Life IVF (Arcadia & Irvine locations), I felt it was important to share in hopes of helping others avoid what we went through. We started our IVF journey at the Arcadia location, expecting a full-service clinic. What we quickly found out is that there is no doctor on-site--all procedures, including retrieval and transfer, are done 45+ miles away in Irvine with Dr. Yelian. The only doctor at Arcadia was Dr. Johnson, who only offered brief telephone consultations. During my treatment, I never saw a doctor in person until the day of egg retrieval and embryo transfer. That alone was unsettling. What made it worse was after my egg retrieval, Dr. Yelian mentioned I should look into adenomyosis--which was incredibly disheartening since that was the main reason I was pursuing IVF to begin with. It was clear he hadn't even reviewed my file. I felt like just another number in a system that prioritized volume over care. Following the procedure, I experienced severe pain that required a trip to the ER. Not a single nurse or doctor from Life IVF followed up with me, asked how I was doing, or offered any aftercare guidance. The lack of compassion was astounding. Then, after our first embryo transfer failed, I wasn't even informed by a doctor. Instead, a nurse casually told me the transfer didn't take--without even checking if my husband was present to support me. She offered no next steps, and it took three days of me calling repeatedly to finally get a callback from Dr. Yelian. After everything, I made the decision to transfer my remaining embryos to another clinic. Shockingly, Dr. Yelian tried to scare me during the required phone call by saying other clinics might "put the wrong embryo into you." I was appalled that a doctor would say such a thing--clearly a fear tactic, and highly unprofessional. In the end, we found a new IVF clinic, where we received thoughtful care and attention. We had a successful first transfer and now have a healthy and happy 1-year-old. It's taken me time to write this review as I've been busy with our preemie and adjusting to new motherhood, but I can't stay silent. People deserve to know what they're walking into. If you're considering Life IVF in Arcadia or Irvine, please be cautious. There is zero continuity of care, minimal doctor interaction, and very little compassion shown throughout the process. I was a little skeptical at first with it being so affordable compared to other IVF options in the area. From the moment I reached out for a free consult, I felt welcomed by all their staff. Dr. Yelian is so nice and caring. I trusted the process and couldn't be happier with the results! I can't thank Dr. Yelian and his team enough for the incredible care they've provided me through both of my surrogacy journeys. My first embryo transfer with Dr. Yelian was at the end of October 2020, and it resulted in a successful pregnancy. I gave birth to a baby boy on July 13, 2021 via surrogacy. After interviewing many clinics in the Southern California area, we narrowed down to Life IVF Center. We didn't realize how different pricing could be at all these clinics. Some charges 30k+ for a single cycle, which is crazy to us. I was turned away by a few clinics as well given my age and circumstance. They told me I needed at least 3 cycles to succeed. After merely retrieval and one transfer cycle at LIC, we are pregnant with our baby at age 39! Medical team at LIC is fantastic for a fraction of the price. Had gone through the process up to even making the initial appointment for a consultation with Dr. Yelian. As soon as arrival, the front desk had told me they do not accept my insurance. Let's be clear here, prior to doing any visiting the facilities with tours and all that, or making appointments, I had called both offices in Irvine and Arcadia to make sure they accept my insurance! I had told them which insurance I had, they said as long as it is PPO they accept it all. I kid you not, we arrive at our appointment and we just got turned around! You guys all need to check and verify insurance before booking consultations or any other appointments! Seriously frustrating and we do not live close we traveled from san diego and it took us 3 hours in traffic to get there each time! We were so extremely disappointed with their lack of communication and clarity on what types of insurance they accept! they just told us "Our prices are unbeatable so cash is fine" So just because you are offering a low cost for IVF doesn't make it affordable to everyone! We have insurance for a reason to help cover some of the costs! read more

First of all, I went to Kaiser and told my obgyn I want to start a family and I was 44 at that time but my obgyn told me based on my age I have to do straight to donor eggs and I insisted to her to check me first maybe I have still have good eggs but they couldn't do it for me. I'm glad I didn't listen to Kaiser coz that was my best decision I ever made. My husband had a friend went through IVF here in San Francisco it wasn't successful and she went to Life IVF and had a successful journey and she's the one who recommended us to go to LIFE and we're from San Francisco. Did ivf with this clinic back in 2020. Spent over 25k only for it to not work , got various opinions from other ivf clicnics and was told based on their medical notes , I wasn't even given enough medicine . Was notified it didn't work via their app and received a call from Dr week later saying I could possibly have PCOS . Years later I conceived naturally. I don't recommend. Do not go here if you're looking for a quality place. This place only cares about money. I did ivf here all 3 times and it was unsuccessful but that's not even why I am writing this review. In over a year doing procedures there, I only spoke to the dr three times. There is no personal care. Nobody ever calls you, they don't care about the patient. Everything is done through emails and portals, you deal with nurses and assistants. Procedures are rushed. They don't allow partners to join. My partner was in a room with multiple patients all getting the same procedures together. Like lab rats. Our last attempt there, they didn't even reach out to tell us we failed. No phone call. No emails. Just a message on the portal to stop taking medicine. It's a mini ivf. They do the basic medicines, harvest minimal eggs, implant whatever embryos you get. If you get pregnant here, it's because you're lucky and it absolutely has nothing to do with the clinic. After all the research and forums that I joined, by the time I realize this place was terrible, it was already too late. If you have 15k to spend on ivf, go somewhere else. It's not a good experience here. Try cny fertility it's only 3999. read more

I am very thankful for Dr. Yelian and his team of amazing staff and nurses. I came here from another fertility clinics after 3 failed IUIs and an unexplained infertility diagnosis. I knew IVF was the next best step and I was intrigued by Dr. Yelian's approach of minimal stimulation as well as the affordable pricing. I am happy to say that after one round of IVF Dr. Yelian was able to get me pregnant with my miracle baby. I had two egg retrievals in one cycle, including one in my luteal phase which is not a common procedure but I trusted the doctor's recommendation and continued on with my meds after my first egg retrieval. It was with that second egg retrieval that we were able to retrieve one perfect embryo and it took on my transfer day. The team at Life was always very responsive, they continually monitor you, and overall I had a positive experience. If I ever need to go through this process again I will go back to see Dr. Yelian. A friend of mine went here which is how I knew of this place. She successfully got pregnant and her daughter is 7 months! Went through 1 cycle of IVF and now I am pregnant, due in January! Overall the process was easy, with a few minor bumps in the road. Mostly having to do with insurance and medication. I attended the webinar which was great and after meeting with the finance office and learning that our insurance covered egg retrival, but not embryo transfer, we decided to move forward. Because we had insurance, we had to go to the Irvine office. The Arcadia office was much closer to us, but since we had insurance, we went to Irvine. You do have to go to Irvine for the Egg Retrieval and Embryo Transplant regardless since Dr. Yeilan is stationed in Irvine. Overall the staff was professional and helpful. Some of the nurses could have been better at communicating the treatment plan. There was one week where the medication wasn't sent to my pharmacy or the pharmacy screwed up and didn't send it to me. I would have gotten in directly from the IVF center, but couldn't wait the two hours for them to develop the plan. We tried calling the after hours nurse line, but no one picked up or called us back. We were able to speak with someone the next day and she adjusted our plan, but it was slightly stressful waiting around, not knowing what to do. There was another week where the nurse called me after my appointment and told me I had to get my medication right away and call them once it was administered but didn't explain why. It felt like my mom was yelling at me to do something. But other than that, the experience was good. They obviously know what they are doing and are efficient. I would recommend this place to anyone trying. read more

My wife's true experience: At the time, the OB-GYN doctor recommended two clinics that do IVF. I watched a lot of videos about Life IVF Center online, which helped me understand a lot. After comparing opinions from friends who had undergone IVF at this clinic and others, I found that this one was more suitable in all aspects, with reasonable prices and a high success rate. So I chose Life IVF Center! After completing all the physical examinations, I started the treatment during the next menstrual cycle. I opted for Mini IVF, which uses less medication, so I didn't feel too uncomfortable. Then, I had egg retrieval. On that day, I took painkillers and local anesthesia, and the doctors were very professional. The process was fast, smooth, and painless! On the day of implantation, there was no need for anesthesia, and the doctor was also very professional. The procedure was completed quickly, and I didn't feel any pain at all! I had to take medication, give injections, and have follow-up visits during the two weeks that followed. I was so lucky to succeed in my first attempt, and I really couldn't believe it because I am older, and my ovaries have declined, producing very few eggs. So I truly believe in Dr. Yelian's expertise, and I'm grateful that I chose this clinic, saving precious time! read more

I came here Last Dec 26 2022, Did my Bloodwork and Sperm sample and paid almost $345 and $175, it was great at the beggining, but service and comunication went downhill in the trash. They missed and didnt bother to email us and call to comunicate the schedule, Dr phone call was made dec 31st, Move to jan 2nd and move to Jan 10th, No Call No email no confirmation.Also Multiple staff messaging us with our email names vs not using our real names? they got confused. also financial assisting call was made dec 31st move to Jan 4th and move to jan 12th , without notifying us. they just email u last minute. This Place is higgly recomended with family and friends from Arcadia Ca To OC family. But sadly This Irvine office is very un-organize, un-experience staff or they dont have good team management. luckily i never paid anything yet other than $500usd Goodluck with this facility. read more
