Emily and her team at Morrice Florist made all my personal flowers for our August wedding in Oak Bluffs. I loved my bouquet, the mantle arrangement, and our super-awesome hops and greenery on our chuppah. The groomsmen also wore hops in their boutinnieres which was really fun. Emily was also incredibly honest about ways to save money and help keep me in budget. Dulcie was also great at communicating with me and their online payment invoices were really easy to use and complete when I wasn't on the island. I think they're probably used to doing much bigger flower orders than mine but I still felt really valued to them. I was so glad they were willing to deliver and checked in with me about our day of timeline to find the best time to drop off personal flowers and venue flowers. Why I love Morrice Florist: They are a local, family owned business and the family is absolutely awesome. They deliver. They have easy, in and out parking which is a key ingredient for a business on the Vineyard, in the summer especially. They have cute displays and colorful seasonal flowers outdoors that brighten my day when I drive buy. They don't care if you are buying one rose or three dozen- they wrap everything with tender hands and fresh ferns and baby's breath. It smells beautiful in here. They have some indoor plants that have lasted for years in my home despite my complete ignorance with regards to house plants. It is fun to see the craziness here on Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, especially around closing time. They let me do my thing- no pushy sales people. Flowers make me happy and so does Morrice Florist. Other places may do more advertising but Morrice Florist quietly rules the roost. read more

Morrice Florist made my bouquets and boutonnieres for my wedding on 9/10/11. I don't know much about flowers but I know what I like and what looks good. After showing them a few pictures and explaining very vaguely what types of flowers I like, they instantly put together a few ideas for bouquets that were spot on. The prices were VERY reasonable. On my wedding day, I wasn't able to pick up the flowers as I planned (underestimating all the other things I'd be doing), so when my friend came back to the house with a gorgeous bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids' bouquets, and 5 boutonnieres, I was so ecstatic to see that they turned out even better than I expected. Based on a quick online search I called Donaroma Flowers first. My customer service experience was beyond poor. So bad that I ended up hanging up mid-order. *Very* uncharacteristic on my part. My experience with Morrice Florist was the polar opposite. The woman on the phone answered my questions in a very friendly and professional manner. When I told her the recipient's favorite colors are red and blue she replied that they currently have tulips and iris, as well as some lovely, nice-quality anemones. While I didn't go for this option, she offered me the choice of loose flowers as opposed to arranged in a vase (the other shop did not). She also didn't make me feel at all rushed. Overall, I feel confident that this shop will take very good care of my order. They have all of my future business on the Vineyard, hands-down. read more

My husband and I recently worked with Morrice Florist for our June wedding. We found the process of working with their team to be easy and enjoyable. However, when the flowers were delivered, while they were beautiful, they weren't what we discussed or ordered. Specifically, my bridal bouquet and the reception arrangements were not what we ordered. Additionally, I had requested some small changes to the order within a few months of the wedding date. They weren't willing to make the changes as they didn't receive the request from my wedding planner in time. While I understand policy is important, I would have hoped that for an order of my size they could have been more flexible. read more

They came in a nice glass vase and lasted for well over a week and still looked great! He heard about this florist from a friend who used them for their wedding and loved their flowers.
