From the moment I walked in I found JAWS swag including a big head of a great white waiting to eat me.. The Edgartown location is by far the larger of the two locations on the island and has more stuff. I grabbed a Jaws shirt, MV hat and hot pink swim shorts for my next trip in Maui... The electric Palm tree shorts were unavailable in my size , wahhhh.... I appreciated the kids running the check out area. Very helpful and addressed all questions. Now the girl running the dressing rooms was a little too busy chatting with the helpers. However I accomplished my goals and had an amazing time shopping. Appreciated the amazing clothes made by this store. Almost makes me wanna buy a sailboat and rename myself BIFF. Vineyard Vines sets the example of how a store should conduct business. There's a book club once a month. The owner is a funny lady and the best laid back professional you could encounter. My son grabbed some Harry Potter books. I donated some old books. There is also going to be a family game night coming soon if it hasn't started already. It is just an adorable space to spend some time in and I'd recommend it for any and all book nerds alike.

If you like a good bookstore this one should not be missed. I recently visited after a few year hiatus and loved to see how much it has stayed the same, but also evolved. First, the greeting cards have always been and are still the best selection. I love a good card and they truly have such unique ones that fit any life event or just because; they ring from funny to inspirational, to comforting and artistic. They also have a great selection of journals (my angsty teenage self filled up a few purchased here) and most recently I perused an incredible array of gourmet Italian chocolates and other fun dessert centric goodies. They have fun and artsy bags and hats, to art supplies and kids gifts... not just books. The kids nook is so sweet. Overall, such a great store that is so much more than books. It has stood the test of time. We bought a kids book about Nantucket for our toddler and we're excited for it as a keepsake.

Since we were there in the pre-season, there wasn't much open on the island, and the bookstore owner took a great deal of time speaking to us about different ideas to pass our rainy days.
