Just spent a very enjoyable couple of hours in the company of my little three year old friend being made very welcome in our local library. The place was lovely and warm and friendly with lots of child friendly facilities.

You can book a time slot for use or if there's one available just go and use it - you get half an hour free daily use, which really came in handy when our internet service went down. There is a small charge for longer use, which can be added on to your free time. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and make you feel welcome. I hope more people use the library service as it would be such a shame to lose them - quite a few libraries around the country have closed down, let's hope this never happens here.

A lovely library, not the biggest but well stocked!…read more Fantastic for kis as they have a specified area for kids books and dvds including child sized table and chairs and some kids toys too. They also do different reading and play events for kids each month to keep them entertained! The best part about this library I find is that I can browse my books whilst leaving the kids to look at theirs, as the kids section is away from the door and we all get what we want that way!

This little library is lovely - set in a quaint old building, the library itself is bright with…read morenatural light, well laid out, always clean and tidy when I've been there and it has a very pleasant atmosphere. The librarians are helpful and friendly, always on hand to assist. The books are well maintained and the automated system for taking books out and returning them is easy to use. I've watched young children being totally engrossed in choosing their books. The librarian at the library I went to as a child, in a then-poor area of London, was the biggest influence in my love of books and reading (second to Enid Blyton, of course). I am sure having this facility in Camelford will do the same for children here.
