If you want food, restrooms, car wash, and maybe a little more casino action, then you need to up the hill a little further. This is a place to stop for gas because they don't gouge you. And they have a ton of pumps. But you know there can be a little wait because it's just that great of a stop. They have clean restrooms. It's one of those multipurpose stops because they have a great little shop inside. And security to keep an eye out. Across the way are more restrooms. For a well advertised place, the area is a dump. The Morongo's roadways are full of cracks and need maintenance. I used the gas station reluctantly because of the store and cashier being unavailable (closed at 6:00 pm on a Thursday). They stole my money! I went to pump gas and when the pump wouldn't pump I went back in to inquire why? The lady said that I told her the wrong pump and that someone already pumped my gas. And then she refused to change to the correct pump or return my money. I then asked to speak to a manager who just sided with her employees. Then their security guards told me that it was a civil matter and they would not return my money. They obviously think they can get away with such shady dealings. This place gets busy AF. It's the only gas station from like cabazon to Palm Springs and it's right by the casino / the 10. The gas here is sometimes a bit cheaper than like the Arco (in Banning). Sometimes the lines can get pretty long, but it's better to wait an extra like 10-15 minutes instead of running out of gas and being stranded. I drive A LOT! Morongo gas station is big, convenient (right off the freeway), and usually cheaper than most gas stations around Beaumont, Banning and Palm Springs. Sure, making the tribe richer but good for them for having an easy to use and cheap gas station. It's clean, they have free water and air (most places make you pay $0.75 these days for air!!) and a car wash. The store person wasn't exactly helpful or friendly when trying to figure out the solution to the broken reader. And then to top it off, the pump was really slow. On my second time here, all the gas had been shut off completely, no idea why. Wasted a trip off the highway through the weird roundabout where a local tribal cop cut me off. I have said Hi and Bye on multiple occasions with no response, the cashiers just continue to hold their previous conversation after they confirm what you want (they are super busy always). It was $2.43 a gallon for reg. Unleaded and i know at any arco in so cal it is at least $2.60 and your shell's and chevron's forget about it.. Grab yourself some Lucas Fuel System cleaner at every 3k Miles and there is no reason not to purchase gas this cheap.... Oh, and Half off your car wash purchase if you get 8+ Gallons of Gasoline.. Their car wash does not have the cloth spinners though they are those traditional plastic ones that spin and clean so if you are super protective about your paint job just a head up. Also, You can only purchase I do believe $80 at a time at the pump with card so if you want to fill up, and your tank is on the larger side, things can get tricky and irritating.. read more
