    Fantastic Red Curry Meal !!!
    Michael C.

This was my second time coming here in years. This experience was definitely better in taste. I ordered the Red Curry with chicken, 3/4 spicy. Very delicious, full of chicken n bamboo shoots, good basil vibe, great thickness in sauce and ideal sweetness to savoriness ratio. Rich to an extent, but wasn't overdosed with heavy cream and excess sweetness like more Americanized Thai places in the city. It was more on the authentic side and balanced very well. The spiciness was great with some tongue tingle to it, but didn't cover up the aromas or other ingredient flavors. Good service as well. I plan to eventually try their basil chicken fried rice on a future visit.

I do appreciate that they offer plenty of vegetarian options, and the menu is pretty easy to navigate with lots of add-on choices. The curry was probably the best thing I tried. The flavor was there, with a nice level of spice and good texture. (I also liked this heart-shaped rice) That said, the portion felt a bit small for a green curry, and for a vegetarian dish it was pretty limited on mostly green beans and carrots. I was hoping for a bit more variety and volume. The appetizers didn't really stand out or add much to the table. It's a small place, but we had a large table and service was efficient (I do appreciate that). We came on a busy Sunday and there were lots of takeout orders going out. Overall, from our group's consensus, it was an okay Thai spot near this area of Rice Village. I'd need to try more of the menu to give it a more complete take, but for now it was just fine.. Not bad, but we've definitely had better.

We had some food delivered and as usual it was amazing. My wife enjoyed a medium order of wonton soup. We split some tiny eggrolls that were very good. I enjoyed some chicken pad thai. You can order different levels of spicyness and I went with hot...it was almost too spicy for me but it was too tasty to quit. Both of us had enough leftovers to make another meal.

I was craving their eggplant but as I perused the menu, I decided to get the yellow curry with tofu from the lunch menu. You get a vegetable egg roll and a small soup first. The yellow curry was still spicy though I ordered it mild. I then ordered a Thai tea to go. It's $5.40 and I didn't enjoy it. It's mostly milk. It needs more tea. I won't be getting the tea any more.

The food was really good! Santiago was my server and he was very attentive! Will be back!

Another restaurant near my physical therapy clinic. It's hidden on the side of the complex and the only reason I knew it was there was because my husband pulled into the parking lot at the wrong entrance. I wanted some tom kha soup this time, so off we went after my therapy appointment. I ordered online and chose the "curbside delivery" option. We parked in front of the restaurant so as to be clearly visible. I made sure to enter our make and model like the form asked. We kept seeing other patrons going in and out collecting their food but five minutes past our delivery time, there was still no sign of ours. My husband went inside to see if our order was ready. He said the guy behind the counter just shoved a bag at him and promptly disappeared into the back. I had ordered a drink and there wasn't one to be seen. My husband had to open the bag. He found my plastic drink cup at the bottom underneath the hot food. It had been an iced tea at one point but now was partially melted. My husband said it felt like our order had actually been ready for a while before he went inside to collect it. What was the point of offering to bring our food to our car if no effort was going to be made to do so? That annoyance aside, the meal itself was pretty good when we got home: - The soup was creamy and flavorful with large pieces of chicken and a TON of mushrooms. I had ordered it mild so that I could share it with my mom who can't handle spicy food well. She said it was perfect. - The shrimp crispy roll appetizer wasn't bad, though it wasn't overly exciting either. It tasted good but I ran out of sweet and sour sauce before the end. Next time, I'd order an extra cup. - I also decided to try the Pad Pett with pork. It sounded interesting with a combination of green beans, bell pepper, basil, onions, bamboo shoots and egg plant. This turned out to be a real winner! Since it was just for me, I went ahead and ordered it at medium spice level. It was just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise which was perfect. Served with a carton of rice. Though, like with the sweet and sour sauce, I ran out of rice before the end. I still have more Pad Pett leftover so I'll need to get extra rice next time, too. - For dessert, I ordered this thing the menu called a coconut pancake. I wasn't really sure what I was going to get. By the time I got into that box the food had cooled down significantly so I'm not sure what it would have looked like if eaten right away. The dish consisted of nine little soft dumpling-looking items that had a layer of batter (?) poured over them and possibly fried? I'm not really sure. However, the inside of the dumplings was a deliciously sweet and creamy coconut mixture. Very addicting! - The one item I didn't care for so much was my (half melted) drink. It was a butterfly tea with lime. I've never had butterfly tea before but I've seen pictures and was eager to try it. The flavor was...not what I was expecting. The first sip tasted like regular southern sweet tea, but then I was hit with a very strange aftertaste of vegetable water. I stirred up my drink but it didn't really improve the flavor. I don't know if it's supposed to taste that way, but I didn't really enjoy it. It's unlikely I'll order it again. Though there were a few delicious items and more I'd like to try off the menu, the restaurant location is again rather far from my house. I don't regret stopping by, though.

I can never say enough good things about this restaurant. There's great parking, great service, and great food and drinks! Every time I come here, I leave very full and happy :-) This time I came as a group of 4 so got 4 different dishes. The pad see ew is one of my go to noodles and got it with tofu this time, which went really well with the noodles. It is my favorite noodle dish to get. Very flavorful and delicious. Next was the yellow curry. It has a pretty low spice and is a pretty standard good tasting curry. We got it with shrimp inside which was a fun addition to the curry. Next is the kee mao fried rice. This dish always suprised me with its explosive flavor. It is soooo delicious and has a great basil flavor. It does have a bit more spice to it but it perfectly matches the dish. It goes well with the shrimp, which are large and tasty. Last was the eggplant basil. It was drenched in this delicious, salty sauce that I love. I could probably just eat the sauce and rice and be happy haha. The eggplant and other vegetables are cooked well and its a great vegetable dish to get. All in all these dishes are always perfect for sharing and super affordable prices as well. I love coming here and will keep coming back!!

Good parking lot. Small restaurant I don't think this would be a good spot for a party over 4 or 5 people. But for date night it's Amazing! Menu is really big and lots to choose from. Everything came out in timely manner. Friendly service. We got shrimp fried egg rolls, 2 HUGE PORTIONED entrees, and a milk tea. Total came out to $49 and that's a good date night price for us. The coconut milk tea was one of the best I ever had. The beef was very flavorful. Can't wait to come back!

Crab fried rice and baby egg rolls.

I was looking around for a good crab fried rice. After scanning yelp reviews I settled on this one as a takeout. I ordered no spicy. And they sent a small cup of spicy sauce separately. I was glad that they did. No spicy was fine but a little added spice kicked it up a notch. They included a slice of lime that I squeezed over the crablump. Real crab, not imitation which is what I was searching for. The baby egg rolls nu.bered 10..were crispy and tasty with a little .minced beef. A side cup of Asian sweet sauce was included. I enjoyed the meal and ate it in two days..the serving was plentiful!

I did a curbside order and it came out promptly. This was my first time trying Thai food and it did not disappoint!

The atmosphere feels lively, casual, and packed with personality--exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble upon but rarely do. The menu is enormous, featuring dishes from different regions of Thailand, with everything from soups and stir-fried noodles to rice dishes, curries, seafood, and grilled meats. Looking around the dining room, it seemed like nobody ordered the same thing because there is just so much to try. Best of all, the prices are incredibly reasonable for a place with this much hype. I had some of the best noodles of my life here. The Pad Kee Mao was phenomenal (best I've ever had and I eat thai food OFTEN) the noodles were chewy, bouncy, fresh, and perfectly coated in sauce. Everything tasted made-to-order and arrived piping hot. We also ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, which was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, along with the Green Papaya Salad, which was easily one of the best versions I've ever had. The heat, acidity, and freshness was incredible and so well balanced. Many of the dishes are served on banana leaves, which adds to the entire experience and makes everything feel even more authentic and special. As someone who loves spice, I also appreciated the range of spice levels available. They don't hold back, which I always consider a good sign. One of the coolest surprises is that there's an attached market selling imported products from Thailand and Vietnam--lots of fun snacks, drinks, sauces, and ingredients you won't find at a typical grocery store. A few things to know: parking can be a little challenging, and while it's a sit-down restaurant, you'll need to head to the cashier to pay. They also accept cards, so don't worry about bringing cash. If I lived nearby, I would honestly come here every week just to work my way through the menu. This is the kind of restaurant that's worth planning a trip around. I would come back to Houston just for this meal. When people say Houston has some of the best Asian food in the country, this is exactly the type of place they're talking about!!

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday and had no wait to be seated. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The spring rolls and dumplings were both very good and made a great start to the meal. The Pad Thai had nice flavor and was enjoyable. My husband ordered his dish at a spice level 4 (their highest spice level), but felt it wasn't quite as spicy as expected, so keep that in mind if you like a lot of heat. The portions were very generous, and we definitely had leftovers. The kids' chicken fried rice was a huge portion and was surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the mango sticky rice for dessert--it was a great way to end the meal. The only disappointment was the Thai tea, which tasted a little weak compared to what we've had at other Thai restaurants.
