Just left there, upon. Request I asked for my kolaches to be warmed. The associate did not warm them and even more upsetting he was not dressed to be in a restaurant area. His pants were below his buttocks and his underwear was showing. Just not appropriate. I will have to find me another location. This is the best Kolache place in the Houston area. I'm not sure how my siblings found this place because it's not quite the closest kolache shop from home, but we keep coming back. I've tried quite a few of the kolache shops around the area and this one is probably the best. It's more bread than many kolache shops, but the bread is soft and sweet. The fillings are good and they have many options. Our favorites would be the cream cheese and the jalapeño kolaches. If you're in the 45 south area and are seeking a good kolache - you won't be disappointed. read more

If I could rate it a ZERO I would. I specifically said for the bacon and cheese kolache to not be warmed up and if it was hot to let me know but she said it was fine I checked the bag I didn't feel hot as soon as my daughter bit into it she started screaming, I should've have known better that the center is always stifling hot in the middle when they reheat it in the microwave. Now I'm just waiting to hear back from them so they can cover the doctor visit. Based on their comments I probably won't be hearing from them again but that used to be my go to place to get kolache's now there's less filling in them the bread taste funny it's yucky it's stale and nasty, so I would recommend the actual morning kolache's the one that's off of 2351 because that's a real morning kolaches this one it's just using the name and they don't have the same standards. The manager is a joke the employees are joke so I'm taking a step further but they're not part of the morning kolaches franchise yeah they have the same things but still not the same do not go that unless you want to get your mouth burnt or get a cold kolache with a mouth burning kolache if you want that go there. read more

Been here a couple of times as an alternative to the neighborhood corner donut shop. Okay- nothing fabulous. Dough is great, but all their kolaches come off way too doughy with not enough filling. Filling itself is so/so- unique combinations, but lacking in flavor. read more

I have always enjoyed Mornings Kolaches from the first time I went to one of their locations in LaPorte. I drive past this location every morning, never stopping as the fat kid in me gets a bit wild sometimes. So I decided to stop here one weekday morning when the cravings took over. I saw they had boudain kolaches, the premier kolache of the "meat stuffed in a bun" world. So I got 2. The pastry is simply amazing. They have the magical ratio of dough to butter ratio with a sprinkle of some kind of juju that makes the dough simply great. The boudain on the other hand....the meat and rice mixture was very tasty and consistent with store bought boudain. However when I started eating into the meaty part I actually thought they may have forgotten to stuff the pastry.... The first one I had barely had a pitiful teaspoon of meaty filling. The second one may have had a tablespoon (this may be an exaggeration of how much was in there). There was so little meat in here they should rename this to a "roll" instead of a kolache. Unless they actually add meat in their "rolls" I will not be coming here again. I can get good rolls a lot cheaper at the fried chicken places. read more

The place is clean, bright and cheery, with many regulars gliding in and out with their tiny bags and boxes like a scene from a Christmas toy store. Their treats make everyday joyful. Kids don't wanna get in the car for school? Bet they will do it for donuts! Or better yet donut holes! The have so many new and interesting things that there is no way you could ever get bored or tired of them. They are also very cheap and easy on the pocketbook. I come to Houston every year for the big International Quilt Festival and stay with a friend in Webster. I look forward to getting Kolaches with sausage and cheese every year and seeing the friendly smiling girls at the drive they window. This year things have really gone downhill. The girls were not smiling or cheerful. The food was not to-die-for (too much dough and very small sausage and little cheese) and I went elsewhere for most of my stay. I hope it has gone back to its great quality next October when I return to Texas! read more

It was a nice surprise to walk in here, while our car was being worked on at Kwik Kar next door, to find a clean, comfortable atmosphere with big tables, lots of chairs, and even comfy seating in the corner. My son and I only ordered a carrot cake muffin, since the kolaches and everything else were in low supply by 10:30 am on a Saturday, but the muffin tasted good, warm and fresh baked. While we were there, we saw lots of customers kept walking in and out. They look like regulars, as they started chatting up with the staff and even with each other. Okay, so they were all speaking in Spanish, and us non-Spanish speakers didn't understand anything, even ordering food was a little problematic as the staff clearly understood Spanish much better. Whenever I have a chance I always pass by here for a Sausage Kolache. Their cinnamon roll is perfection. Taquito they offer is different but delicious. Potato and egg texture is unique to Morning Kolache but it's delicious. They use to have a Bacon Egg and Cheese Kolache but it's not discontinued. :'( Been going here several years and always have had a great experience. Only complain. I was driving to work one morning and had a major craving for a kolache. I knew I was in luck because there was a Kolache Factory near me. Imagine my disappointment when I realized it was on the opposite side of I-45 and out of my way. Keeping on my route, I noticed Morning Kolaches and decided to stop in. Overwhelmed by the options, I opted for the classic sausage and cheese and something different- a sausage, egg, and cheese. After the first bite of the oddly shaped round sausage egg and cheese, I knew I had made the wrong decision. Although the bread was amazingly soft, fresh, and sweet....the contents were horrible! The sausage egg and cheese mixture were way too bold and grease flavored. I couldn't take another bite. The traditional sausage and cheese kolache was just ok and that's shocking considering this is a "kolache" franchise. Based on these reviews I feel like I should give them another try, maybe I made the wrong selection. read more

These things are so delicious and sinful. I stopped by this place around 9am (Sat) and went through the drive thru . I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese kolaches and just hoped for the best. I was about to eat one in in route to my house, but I decided to wait so I could have a clear look at what I was about to eat. I got home, opened the box, and popped one in my mouth. The first bite was like nothing I've experienced before. This was like the best kolache ever. It was real sausage, not a hot dog link! Good and tasty but not 5 stars !!! My issue is that I find it tacky and unsanitary when employees eat while they are at the front counter taking care of customers. I watched a lady grab a cream cheese roll, pinch it into her mouth, lick her fingers and then handle the drive-thru ??? Really. Then when I placed my order the other young lady said "we are barely about to close" I said ummm ok it's 11am and they close at noon. It was her way of trying to get me out I guess ? I tried the sausage and cheese kolache and the bread was good, moist and soft, not too greasy but the sausage had a strong flavor and was not appealing !! The cream cheese rolls were good too. This is the very best kolache place ever! True statement. The bread is like crack, so darn good. We have family from out of state that stuff 3 to 4 kolache down for breakfast every day of their visit. Our ten year grandson eats the cold kolache out of the frig off and on throughout the day. We picked up several dozen to take on an outing to Branson, Missouri, they were a big hit with everyone. The peach fruit kolache is my favorite. They are all yummy. read more

I came here around 8:30am on a Saturday. They had a steady stream of customers, but nothing crazy. I ordered a sausage & cheese kolache for myself and a ham & swiss kolache for my toddler. Service was fast and friendly, the place was clean. There's a good amount of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. For some reason, when we arrived, they barely got around to turning on the a/c, so the place was sweltering!! I couldn't even think about drinking my coffee! They don't have a huge variety of kolaches to choose from (like Kolache factory), but they stick to mostly basics with a few interesting ones (ie. sausage & gravy, boudain, etc). The dough was fragrant and tasty with a hint of sweetness. I'd have to say they're a bit more on the "bready side", like many of the other reviewers have commented. I'd come back to try some other flavors and also some of the sweet ones. read more

Despite living on a different side of town now, I visit Mornings Kolaches as often a I can while visiting friends and family. They are open super early, which has been very convenient for a quick breakfast stop with a large order on my way to a company meeting. These kolaches are amazing and the owner always adds new items to the menu! They recently added an awesome gravy kolache and the jolly peño pops (bacon, cream cheese and jalapeño) is one of my favorites. You simply have to try them for yourself.
