Definitely a bad initial impression. I said hi to her, told her thank you, and everything trying to extend courtesy then I remembered SHE is the hostess not me. Ridiculous. Our waitress that day McKenzie was pretty good, but I felt bad for her. Our table was as far as you can get from the kitchen or wherever the wait staff goes to get water, chips, food etc. and she was having a hard time serving, especially cause she would bring out one thing at a time. For example, she would see we had an empty cup, so she would just leave and come back and drop off a cup without communicating, well if she asked we would have told her, we need chips, water, salsa, napkins.
