Absolutely a nice plus to look at while waiting for your order. Today unfortunately they did not have Tapioca which is just so sad and they also said they didn't have coconut so we couldn't order the kumquat coconut drink. This is my first time here and only time any Kung Fu Tea had no tapioca. Anyways place is pretty quick when you order your food. It wasn't a long line up or anything. I would come here again in hopes it would have Tapioca at the very least.

They had two Feb 2023 specials, with red as the primary colour for Valentine's Day. We chose the Strawberry Ice Tea with Agar Bubbles ($5.20). We rarely get egg waffles at a bubble tea store but my son wanted one so we got the Chocolate Egg Waffle ($5.00). The drink was delicious. The egg waffle was too dry; I told the manager and he thanked me for the feedback. Service was courteous with a smile. At first, the Kung Fu sign lights inside were not turned on, but once they saw we were serious about photography, they turned it on. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom which is also wheelchair accessible. There is free parking in the shopping mall. Review 2023-028

I will admit that before discovering Hana's Tea, I rarely visited Richmond Hill for bubble tea. I do now! Two of my visits have been after work on a Tuesday. I came here with a friend on a Thursday. You can park on Yonge Street, but parking is limited. There is parking behind Hana's Tea. The sign said that it was by the church. I did the opposite and parked behind McConaghy Centre and walked over. I got the following items as part of the event experience: - Lychee ade - S'mores cookie - Yuzu lemon and tiramisu macarons I love carbonated, fizzy drinks. The fruity ade line screams me. I got the lychee ade with no sugar. As usual, most folks question my choice to go without sugar. I'm used to it. It works for me. The lychee ade was awesome. There were bits of lychee in my drink, which made this drink naturally sweet. It was cold and refreshing to sip. Pure joy! The s'mores cookie had a huge marshmallow in it. I had to get it. It was divine. The toasted marshmallow was so good. The cookie was moist and had the right amount of chocolate to make it taste like s'mores, minus the graham crackers. I'd get it again. The interior is cute and is perfect for taking photos. I used the washroom during my first visit. The decor was lovely. It was clean. No complaints. I got the tiramisu and yuzu lemon macarons for my intern. It was her last day in the office the next day. I normally like to consume macarons before gifting them. I had a good feeling about them here because the filling was abundant and thick. We have similar tastes in everything, so I felt confident about gifting them to her. I paid with a credit card. It also allowed me to tip. Yay! All three visits consisted of my receiving a small bag of candies that had bubble tea in the centre. The next day, I gave her the macarons after we were discussing a work task that she was wrapping up on Wednesday. She was so excited. She ate both of them in a span of a minute. She had the tiramisu first. She said that it was slightly sweet and amazing. She thought that it was her favourite until she had the yuzu lemon. She said that it had lemon peel that made her love this one more. She is a younger version of me when it comes to food. I returned to Hana's Tea two days later. I joined my friend, Sandy, after work on a Thursday. It was her Yelp experience. I came back as a repeat customer. One of the women remembered me. I let her know that I loved everything that I had on Tuesday. I loved everything so much that I was back to order some more, which made her happy. I got these items: - Chicken gyoza - Peach ade - Yuzu lemon and tiramisu macarons The chicken gyoza were delicious. They were crispy on the outside with a thin wrapper on each one. The dipping sauce was perfect. Each gyoza was packed with chicken that was nicely seasoned. Yummy! I loved my peach ade. I got the same question about whether I was sure about going without any sugar. I was fine. It had small bits of peach that I loved. It also had coconut jelly. A large goes for $7, which is a steal. I finally had the macarons. OMG! The tiramisu tasted just like the dessert, but in compact macaron form. It was a touch sweet, but exceptionally yummy. The lemon peel bits in the yuzu lemon were amazing. It was excellent with the perfect amount of lemon brightness. I recently returned to get more macarons, to celebrate my friend's birthday early, who also happens to be my colleague, He had just returned from Paris. I suggested that he get macarons there. He did and loved them. Yep, I got macarons from Hana's Tea. I was hoping that it wasn't a step down from his Paris experience. It wasn't! I got two of each macaron flavour: - Nutella - Crème brûlée - Yuzu lemon The two female staffers recognized me. Yep, I'm becoming a regular. I also got a strawberry coconut refresher. I got it with no sugar and less ice. The female staffer was trying to get me to add sugar. I said that the strawberry syrup was sweet, as was the coconut jelly. End of story. Staff put my macarons in a box. I also got a paper bag to put everything in. It was a nice touch. I thanked them both and headed to my car to drive home. The following day, my friend and I indulged in macarons throughout the workday. We loved all three flavours. The crème brûlée was exceptional. It tasted like custard. I loved the Nutella macaron, which had Nutella filling. It was awesome! I have found a good place that makes yummy fruity ade, gyoza, and macarons. Staff are helpful and nice. I love everything that I have consumed so far, as have my friends. It's a gem of a spot. I will say that this place promptly closes at 9 pm when my friend and I were here on a Thursday. We chatted right up until 9 pm. We got a polite announcement from a staffer that the place was closing. You have been warned! (361)

Reviewing 2oz of Coffee (located inside Now Tea)…read more This coffee counter is known for doubling up their espresso shots in their lattes, so get ready to be well caffeinated. I arrived right when they opened, and there were already a few people waiting in line. The menu is small & curated, focusing more on the coffee than specialty flavours. However, they do have a good selection of flavoured lattes. I wasn't able to see which beans they used for the espresso, but overall, their roast seems to be a bit darker/stronger, which balances out a sweeter latte well. I tried the iced biscoff and pistachio lattes. The biscoff is slightly sweeter and nuttier - definitely my fave of the two. The pistachio latte, in contrast, was disappointing. It was $1 more than the biscoff latte, looked nothing like the photo on the counter, and didn't taste much of pistachio at all. Although it looks like a separate counter, I realized that you can order drinks from either "shop" from their one main counter. I also found it a bit confusing to figure out the hours of operation, as Google said 2oz of Coffee opens at 11am, but the Now Tea shop isn't open until 12pm.

I typically hit Kinton Ramen in this plaza, fetch food, and leave. It was nice to have already parked for two hours. I got here at noon. There were plenty of spots available. After doing a quick look at the bubble tea places to choose from, I chose TP Tea. There's one closer to my home, across the border (it sounds fancy) in Scarborough. I needed to check out a different location. TP stands for Taiwan Professional. I still think of my former intern who disliked a software tester at our workplace who creeped her out. She nicknamed him TP, which stood for Toilet Paper.... haha! Anyway, I digress. I walked in and there were two staff members. A young man came over to help me with my order. The Thai milk tea looked so good in the poster on the door that I went with it. I couldn't get it without any sugar, so my order became less sugar and ice. I also got tea jelly. I had never heard of tea jelly before. Tea jelly in tea? Hey, why not? I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped. I also signed up for TP Tea's points program. You simply enter your phone number and sign in through the touchpad each visit. You can get free toppings, free drinks, and more. It didn't take long for my order to be ready. This store is deep and narrow. You can't sit down and enjoy your drink. You also can't use the washrooms. The woman behind the counter asked if I needed a bag. I politely declined and said that I was going to drink it now, which made her laugh and nod. I wished both folks a great day and headed to my car. The Thai milk tea ws excellent. If you like strong tea, you want to come here. The milk was perfect to balance out the tea. I loved the tea jelly, which added a cool flavour dimension to my tastebuds that I have never experienced. It was awesome and I got a decent amount of it! Less sugar worked out nicely. My drink was a touch sweet. Perfect! I had a great experience. I hope to return to this plaza and get more drinks off the menu. (463)
