Upon arrival it was easy to check-in. The session started right on time. There were couple of kids in the same session. Everyone got their own set of utensils. They all got to pick their slime color and flavor. There were so many flavors available. They spent about 20-25 minutes creating full meshed slime. I paid upfront and carefully confirmed all details months in advance. The most important detail to me was that the backdrop would include my son's name and say "God Bless Benjamin." That personalized sign was the entire reason I chose this company. As the event approached in May, I received absolutely no confirmation or communication regarding delivery. I had to repeatedly call and text just to make sure they were still coming. No one answered and no calls were returned. When the owner finally responded, instead of professionally reassuring me, he texted that he was "busy setting up another event," as if I was supposed to understand or excuse the lack of communication. I am not a friend doing him a favor. I was a paying customer who deserved respect, professionalism, and basic communication. Eventually his assistant called me and asked me to go over all the details again. I even resent photos and specific instructions for the backdrop sign. Then she asked me for payment again as if I had never booked with them in the first place! I had to explain that I already booked and paid months earlier in January. That showed me they either lost my order or were completely disorganized. When I expressed my concerns to the owner, he blamed "busy prom season." That is not an acceptable excuse to give customers. If you run a business, you need to manage your schedule and communicate professionally with clients. The balloons themselves were delivered in the correct colors, but the backdrop had only a generic "God Bless" sign with no name, the one detail I was really looking forward to seeing and the main reason I hired them. After months of planning and stressing over whether they would even show up, this was incredibly upsetting. The lack of communication, organization, accountability, and professionalism made this a very frustrating experience. We choose our blanket color ahead of time through a quick and easy online ordering process and our three skeins arrived in the blink of an eye. Casey led the virtual class with incredible patience and that made the whole experience feel fun and approachable. She demonstrated each step first, then guided us through the process in real time, making sure no one felt left behind. She even restarted portions of the lesson a couple of times just to ensure everyone was on the same page, which was greatly appreciated. At the end of the session, Casey shared some of the other classes offered by The Craft Kit, and wow, what a great course list.
