I couldn't of hoped for a better bunch of women to be working with. We were recommended to give Pearl River Florist a try after another local florist were to busy to even meet with us. I am now thrilled that the other placed couldn't accomodate us and we went to PRF. They are simply fabulous to work with. They make you feel like their mission is your happiness!! My daughter is getting married in May and they have presented to us with not one, but two centerpiece samples for approval. Every time we have met with them it's been an absolute pleasure. And as if the excellent customer service wasn't enough, they are very very reasonably priced. I heard some crazy fees of what wedding flowers would cost and when we met with PRF their prices were right within our budget. You would be crazy to pass up working with them!! read more

I ordered flowers for same-day delivery over the phone. I've ordered from them online and the delivery fee was twice as much this time..I was okay with it considering it was for the same day and I was desperate. What I wasn't okay with was how small the arrangement I ordered was for what I paid. We discussed what florals they were going to use and then I was asked what I wanted to spend rather than being given a price for what we discussed. I told her how much.. a generous amount. The arrangement was made of three roses and five daisy's with a few green leaves. I'm very disappointed in how small the arrangement is and just feel that I was taken advantage of..I think I would've gotten the same thing if I'd said I'd pay half the amount. If I could give zero stars, I would. My fiancé and I went in person and sat down with Michelle for our wedding florals. Michelle was lovely and extremely helpful. Michelle instructed us to email their shop's email account the photos we were showing Michelle throughout our meeting so they would have visuals saved. In the email I wrote out exactly what was discussed in person and what our receipt/contract included under each photo. Then, Stephane emailed back telling us there would be an up charge for our arch florals, even though in the receipt/contract THEY created and had priced us out for, already had a pretty high pricing for the arch. When I asked Stephanie why the change in price she said Michelle had charged us incorrectly (isn't there a saying that once a price is spoken, let alone printed on a receipt and handed to the client, the owner shouldn't go back on that? I guess just another sign of bad customer service/business). As spoken in person to Michelle and explained in an email to Stephanie, we planned to do about 12-15 small vases on each table, and my fiancé and I are providing the vases. Stephanie then tell us for 12-15 instead of 10 (we never said 10) it would be a $50 extra charge per table for ONE flower stem in each vase - basically saying it was an extra $50 for 2-5 flower stems. I had initially planned on doing a large bridal bouquet, but because Stephanie kept adding irrational prices to our bill, I sent a different bouquet with the same flowers, but much much smaller and Stephanie said the pricing would be the same. Which just started to seem as if she was racking up the price just to see how much we would pay. When I told her the pricing was going out of our budget she said "I am not at the shop today, so I don't have access to your contract. When I get in tomorrow, I'll review and answer any questions that you have. And don't worry, we understand weddings are pricey! We will work with you to get the look you want!" - It has been 3 weeks and I still have not heard back from her, even after I have sent 3 follow up emails simply asking for a final price since she kept adding pricings on and never gave us a "final" bill. In the midst of the stress of planning a wedding, Pearl River Florist has only added more stress to the planning. I'm disappointed in how inconsiderate a local shop would treat their community/clients. We have told everyone we know how terrible Pearl River Florist, and will continue to do so. First florist had me pay for the flowers they'd prepared for my event and I had my husband pick them up only to be disappointed that the result looked nothing like the inspiration photo I had shared. Do not use!!!! I had a gift sent to a female friend after surgery. Order was delivered a day early, a Blue bow was on it, and watch the price. $15 delivery, a charge for using credit card, who goes into a shop the place an order and use cash?? This is part of doing business! I called and spoke to owner, she agreed on wrong deliver, solution...I'll go over and pick up the plant garden and refund you. This was a gift! Oh yeah, go over to someone who just had surgery and take back the gift!!! unbelievable!! She saw nothing wrong with a blue bow, "her house has blue all over". We use this florist often to send my 90 year old mother in law flowers. I'm marked as a loyal customer. Not sure what happened w my Christmas order. Put it in a few days before the 23 delivery request, got a confirmation. No plant ever sent. Called yesterday, they will get back to me as they have to look it up. No one called back. Called today and the woman (owner) tells me they didn't have what I ordered. Also said someone called me. Well if they called me I wouldn't be talking to u now would I. If they only let me know prior to Christmas I could have made different arrangements so she could have gotten a gift to brighten her day. What a shame. read more

I had the best experience here!!! A friend reccomended Pearl River and I called to make an appointment to talk about my wedding flowers! I met with Maryann. She was awesome, knowledgable and spunky, she made me feel comfortable. 30 mins later I had a qoute that was much less than any other florist I met with!! During our discussion, I had told her that I was also looking for a day of coordinator and someone to decorate the reception. Maryann put me in touch with her daughter Stephanie (also at Pearl). Stephanie and I talked, she met me at the reception area, and we walked thru all my day of needs. It was great. Stephanie made me feel comfortable every step of the way. The flowers were amazing. The wedding party flowers were delivered on time, It was then I realized I forgot to order flowers for my MIL and the driver took care of it. He was back within the hour with another corsage! As for the other flowers... beautiful!! Cake flowers, alter flowers, buffet table flowers, table settings, cocktail hour arrangments, etc. Stephanie had decorated the outdoor venue, and had handled all my other vendors that day. It was so comforting knowing that Stephanie was there. She was so professional, and friendly to everyone. Many of my family members and guests commented on the flowers, decorations, set up, and Stephanie most of all. Pearl River made everything beautiful, and let me breathe that day. Horrible customer service. I ordered a bouquet as a surprise for a special occasion on Thursday for Saturday and the bouquet was never sent. Left a message that Saturday to follow-up with no call back. Called again on Wednesday, hoping they would be sent Monday or Tuesday only to hear that they had never received this order. I had an email and order # but they said it did not matter. They seemed absolutely unbothered that there are "many online orders that are misplaced." They also refused any discount if I placed a new order over the phone with them. Needless to say, I will not be getting flowers from them ever again. Steer clear. read more

The ladies here are so nice and do such a wonderful job. Their pre-made bouquets are always beautiful and well priced, in my opinion. I occasionally order custom bouquets and they're always beautiful as well. I can be picky and dislike a certain flowers--like hydrangeas 'cause I don't think they last very long--and the employees are always accommodating and take the time suggest and show me replacements they know I will like better. Can't say enough nice things about this florist and the folks who work here. I've been here many times. They always have my order ready. I've never been disappointed. I'll be back again soon. I have to say, when I was planning my wedding I didn't even think to check out a local florist, but after I was priced gauged by my venue's preferred vendor, my friend recommended Pearl River Florist. I have to say, they were wonderful!!! They did what I asked (most other vendors argued with me and just wanted to do it their way), I wanted pumpkins and lanterns for my end of September wedding and they made it happen. They were VERY reasonably priced and even honored my coupon!! My sunflower bouquets were amazing and they were able to accommodate my mother's last minute request to switch out her wristlets for a nose gay (small bouquet). I'm about a 15 minute drive away and have other florists closer by but when I need flowers i go here and I have never been disappointed. The flowers are always fresh and well presented. They listened to my ideas, and when I didn't love the initial design they went out of their way to provide me with a second sample to ensure that I was going to get exactly what I wanted for the wedding. I love Pearl River Florist! The shop is so cute, quaint and coat, full of flowers and beautiful trinkets. It dawned on my family over the weekend that the only day all ten of could visit with my Mom in Sunrise (Old Tappan) was Monday morning at 11:00. So I called Pearl River Florist right after they opened on Monday and expected them to tell me it couldn't be done, but voila! The very nice lady I spoke to said, "sure," and proceeded to tell me what flowers she had available for a little wristlet for a 97 year old birthday girl. I picked it up about 1 1/2 hours later, and it was very pretty, perfect for Mom and the price was great! She loved it and kept looking down at her wrist all morning, and probably during the rest of the day, too! I don't know who the other reviewer dealt with, but I certainly didn't experience anything like he did. They were great! read more

The worst. We reviewed our order THREE times with the girls there and when we went to pick them up not only weren't they ready yet (yes we talked about a time and we showed up on time) but they weren't at all what we talked about. We had them fix it, but even then when we were explicit about the changes, they still weren't what we discussed. The stems are cut unevenly, the ribbons tied together are soaking wet, and I'm questioning why the arrangement I paid a pretty penny has so many holes and about 3 flowers in it. Again, the worst.
