Chelmsford Crossing has gone way down hill. We understand the staffing shortage across the industry…read moreand the staff there are kind and do their best but they are being let down by in house management, all the way to corporate ownership. They recently went up again on rent, while going way down on services and care. As you would assume the up management has not taken a pay cut. The nursing staff has been cut, to where there is no longer 24 hours nurses on staff. Nothing is followed through from one nurse to the next. If you tell a nurse that the resident needs something to be done, that information is not recorded and will not be passed onto the following scheduled nurse. There is no accountability for anyone who works there. No formulated recorded plan for care or lack there of. If just verbally passed on from one aide/nurse and quickly forgotten. The food used to be good but now they serve a lot of processed food and carbs. Pasta all the time, frozen pizza, chicken fingers, chips, hot dogs, hamburgers on a HOT DOG roll and they over serve deserts. If you are a low fat / sodium diet forget about them following any dietary guide lines. There are not enough aides and some of the ones they do have are not properly trained. They will just dump a resident in their room and leave. Not caring if the person needs to use the bathroom or be cleaned up. They will leave them in soiled cloths or undergarments all day. If a resident is not mobile the aides will not usually get them for actives so they are left isolated. It's not all the aides fault, the fault lies with management/ownership. It's the proverbial profits over people. It has now gone beyond neglect to bordering abuse. We could go on. Ownership needs to do something about it. Hopefully it won't get any worse.

I called Lifeway Mobility and spoke with Tabitha. She was pleasant and knowledgeable, and told me the fee to remove the stairlift would be $215. We scheduled a date and time. The technician, Luis, called me when he was on his way, he arrived promptly, was very nice and friendly, and had the stairlift out of the house in 15 minutes. I paid him, he emailed a receipt, and was on his way. I could not have asked for a better experience, and highly recommend Lifeway Mobility.

I left all my information on the contact site and waited for an email, text or call. Everyone is understaffed these days so I was waiting patiently. But I never heard anything back from them. I'm still researching chairs and I'm not eager to get one online with out seeing it first. However, I need a chair. I tried to give my money to the brick and mortar store but it was a total failure. When there are no more stores available, it will be because of situations like this. Obviously I can't rate how you'll be treated if you go there to shop. But most people I know that are actively looking are not capable of going because they don't have any chair and/or are home bound.
