I've been with Charles Schwab for a long time. I'm talking for a very long time. One of the…read morereason's I've been with them for such a long time is because my dad started me investing since I was younger with Charles Schwab and I never left them. Some of the reasons to be with them are below. I broke down some advantages and some disadvantages. The disadvantage has a easy fix if you ask me. If you are a beginner investor or a player in the stock market, Charles Schwab is an excellent place to invest and is often rated as one of the best overall brokerage firms in the industry. It caters to a wide range of investors, from beginners to advanced traders, offering a robust combination of low costs, comprehensive tools, extensive research, and strong customer support. They also provide resources for virtually all types of investors. Beginners benefit from extensive educational materials and support, while active traders gain access to the powerful, customizable thinkorswim platform that they acquired when they merged with TD Ameritrade. They offer $0 commissions for online U.S. stock and ETF trades, no account minimums, and no annual account management fees. Wide Range of Offerings: You can invest in a vast array of assets, including U.S. and international stocks, ETFs, mutual funds (over 7,300 are no-transaction-fee), bonds, options, futures, and forex. Strong Research and Education: Clients have access to high-quality proprietary and third-party research from firms like Morningstar and Argus, along with top-tier educational content, live webinars, and charting tools. Customer Support: The firm is highly regarded for its customer service, offering phone, chat, and in-person support through its extensive network of physical branches. Me and my family has witnessed this as we spoke to No'e (sp?) at this branch and he helped us out a lot with his vast knowledge with our parents living trusts and all the paperwork that went along with it. He was very helpful as well as his mainland counterparts. One big drawback is the lack of Direct Cryptocurrency Trading: Schwab does not offer direct spot trading of individual cryptocurrencies, though it provides access to crypto-related funds and ETFs. Then again you can do this yourself. Just make sure you have a digital wallet where you can take your crypto offline so no one can hack you. Just don't lose it as you can't retrieve it once it is lost or stolen. Come on down and see how Charles Schwab can help you secure you financial planning and investing.

They are nice people and were really helpful with filing this year as well as previous years outstanding taxes. Unfortunately 6 months later it's still not complete and I am trying to finalize payment plans on my own. I tried to contact Gene multiple times with either no response or no follow through, so I ultimately ended my business with them. He did apologize and offered to finish the job after I ended our business, but it's been dragging on and weighing on me for over 6 months and a new tax season is coming up again in only 2 months and it's just not worth the headache anymore. I would not recommend hiring Agape Wealth Management unless you have easy simple taxes that don't need any communication or follow up from them.

My mother was the beneficiary and she decided she would like to cash my Dads money out. So I took my frail 81year old mother who walks with a walker and has shortness of breath, down to the Ameriprise office at 1585 Kapiolani Blvd and spent two hours filling out the required forms and providing them with bank account info so the money could be directly deposited. After a two week wait, we find out that "something happened" and "we don't know why" but the money was reversed and taken back by Ameriprise. No explanation given, no phone calls. No emails. So where is the money??? No one seems to know or have answer. Not surprisingly, Ameriprise is keen to take your money but not so much to give it back. This is the last company id ever trust with my money and would never do buisness with such a bunch of dishonest investment brokers.
