This place has been around for years!!! I remember seeing the big fish signage when I was little and it's still there! Came back in town to visit family and wanted to bring home some smoked fish for the family. The lady behind the counter was extremely welcoming and friendly, offering us big samples of whatever we wanted. I was hoping they had smoked salmon nuggets but I didn't see them behind the glass. After trying out 4+ different options, I opted getting smoked steelhead and cherry smoked salmon. Salty, smoky, moist flaky fish... I mean, what more do you want? We stopped there on our way up north to our cabin each time we go. The first couple years we went. It was absolutely delicious. We always buy the smoke Atlantic salmon. The last time it was inedible. What a cool fish market. Living on the central coast of California I'm surrounded by fish, fresh, frozen, wild and farmed. Morey's has all of that and some more. The friendly ladies at the front counter was given out some samples of herring, the sour cream horseradish was the best I've ever tasted. I like this store. They let you sample the smoked salmon, dips, salads, etc. The smoked salmon was dry and oversalty. My homemade smoked salmon is much better. The salmon dip, whitefish dip and seafood salad with corn in it is really good. Prices are super high. I get most seafood at Costco anyway. They also had Ellsworth Cheese Curds. I chose ranch and Cajun. A nice treat for a week. read more

Love this place. We come here every year the first week in December to get 30lbs of crab legs as it's the best sale they have for the year. It's only like a 3 or 4 day sale... I had pre-order some crawfish for the 4th from morey's fish market in motly . I drove all the way there today(7-03-2020). When i got there I told them I was there to pickup a order of crawfish. A lady ask if i was jeremy I replied yes. she said sorry we sold them. I wasted a hour to drive all the way there for them to tell that they sold my order. I will not be returning. Every time I come through Motley I stop and buy fresh salmon to take home and smoked Salmon to eat on the way. It is always great, fresh, and the people are so friendly and knowledgeable.
